I'd originally found Alice via Groupon, but call her before buying a Groupon and ask if she'll honor Groupon pricing without it. She'll probably say yes! Alice did a fantastic job with my hair. Granted, I wasn't asking for anything complicated basically just a trim to freshen up my dead ends that are still recovering from a horrible experience two years ago from another stylist). But she knew exactly what shape I wanted without my even having to describe it to her. And I love that she (being Asian herself) understood my Type 1A hair. I recently had the pleasure of meeting this amazing woman, Alice Dang. And when I say shes amazing its an understatement. Having psoriasis and being an introvert I dread getting my hair cut, so I tend to show up looking like Captain Caveman. If you know you know. Well not only did she help me take 10 years off with a really precise cut but she also introduced me to a line of tea tree hair care products that have since improved my psoriasis! But that was the second most amazing thing. Because when she heard i was taking care of my son by myself and that his hair was in bad shape she insisted on taking care of him that same day. She agreed but when I got there she didn't honor the Groupon deal & said it would be $90. I was disappointed, she told me that the Groupon is not hers & it's not her salon. Never been here and took my teen son to get a perm since it's the trend these days. Was a bit worried since I never been to Alice and showed her a pic of what my son wanted. I found Alice on Yelp and Groupon. At the same time she offered to highlight my roots and I am very particular about my stylist. I agreed since it was just the roots and took a chance. 20 mins later, Alice took the foils out of my hair and rollers out of my son's hair. She nailed both of the jobs and did a great job! Roots are perfectly blended in with my highlights and my son's curls were exactly what he wanted, wavy and not over curly. The best haircut I can remember. I'm glad I made the trip out of town and gave Alice a try because it really was worth it for me. I guess it's fair to say I have trust issues when it comes to barbers but when I spoke to her over the phone my gut was telling me she's a match. When we met, I let her take the wheel and she pretty much gave me a make over with hair, nails, eyebrows and facial hair, which I'm 110% happy about. Do not go for a blow out. She has no idea how to even give a blow out....she proceeded to dry my curly hair with a paddle brush the whole time making it a giant frizzy mess. I kept telling her to stop and that she's doing it wrong and she had no idea what I was talking about or why I was so upset. Her blow dryer didn't even have a nozzle! I don't know what her skill level is for haircuts etc but honestly if she can't do a simply blow out, I'm not sure I'd let her touch my hair. Just beware. read more

Alice is always available when I need to get my hair done last minute. I'm not one to get my hair done every 6-8 weeks. But every time I call I don't have to wait a week or so, she takes me right away. She is great at what she does and makes sure you leave her chair happy. If you ask her to cut an inch off, it's nothing more then an inch. You can trust her while you sit in her chair. Going to see Alice will have you going back for more.
