Everyone we encountered was kind and helpful and a little over a week and my husband is going for an injection today which will hopefully bring relief! I strongly recommend Dr Jeffery Michaelson of The Core Institute in Novi, who is honest, said he wouldn't operate because what I needed was beyond his abilities (and referred me to two trauma clinics. I did my research and found ALL Pro PT. From my experience over the last decade with All Pro, their name says it all!! On January 12, 2016 I experienced a near fatal fall down my main staircase. I've had a few consequential outdoor accidents, and some totally unexplainable injuries since, however ALL required serious orthopedic PT to regain my mobility. The most serious of all was my 2016 injury to the right shoulder and arm. I suffered 2 through & through tears (1" and 2") to my rotator cuff. In the accident I also tore off my long bicep tendon; which IS an unrepairable injury. The pain was unbearable, and heavy triple script medications barely took the edge off. Since I was required to wait 6 weeks for my surgical date, my surgeon recommended PT. I contacted ALL Pro. The educational range of the ALL Pro Staff, bar none, is PAR EXCELLANT! When I arrived the physical therapist asked me what my pain level was from 1-10? I asked if there was a 15? In evaluating my arm, and looking at the MRI report, the PT discerned I was in some serious pain and recommended I try Dry-Needling. My response was dry WHAT? After the Dry-Needling session, and some very gentle manipulation, the PT asked me to re-evaluate my pain level. It was a THREE!! I was in disbelief when I walked out that day. I felt like I had an EXCALIBUR EXPERIENCE! I continued for six weeks with two dry-needling sessions a week along with some exercises. I was even given the clearance to return to work right up to my surgery. TRUE story! Post surgery: My surgeon estimated hopefully that I regain 80% - 85% of my range of motion given all the damage done to the shoulder and arm in the accident. To me, that sounded pretty bleak. I rehabbed with All Pro PT for several months. Today, I now have FULL range of motion in my right arm. I can carry a 10 lb. bag of groceries (sometimes more) thru the parking lot, I can scratch & wash my back myself, play catch, swim, exercise, move furniture, and pick up very small children, ALL with my right arm. Fast forward to August 2021, my left shoulder began irritating me so my Dr. again recommended PT. And again, I contacted ALL Pro. The Dry-Needling kept me off the hard drugs and allowed me some simple exercising (while injured) right up to my surgery date, January 24, 2022. After three months of PT with the AWESOME and CARING STAFF at ALL Pro - Raj, Katie, Zhyaire "Z", Rico, Kathryn, and a few other names I've already forgotten (sorry) - I now have full range of motion in my left arm, too. (1 Star) - Traumatizing Experience at Westland Community Center ER and Garden City Hospital…read more As someone living with multiple chronic illnesses--including rheumatoid arthritis, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, migraine disorder, and psychogenic non-epileptic seizures--I unfortunately have to visit the emergency room from time to time when my symptoms become unmanageable. I don't enjoy being there, and I certainly don't choose this life. After feeling extremely unwell for several days, my mom called the Westland Community Center Emergency Department ahead of time because I had previous negative experiences there. She was reassured that there was a compassionate physician who was experienced with patients who have complex medical conditions. Initially, things seemed promising. I was taken back quickly, had blood work done, and my labs came back normal. However, everything changed when the pelvic exam began. I have a history of sexual assault, and I am also a virgin. Without warning or any trauma-informed communication, the speculum was inserted in a way that was incredibly painful. I began crying immediately and repeatedly told the doctor and staff that I was in too much pain to continue. I begged them to stop and asked if they could give me something for the pain before trying again. Instead, I felt dismissed and was repeatedly told to stop moving and push my hips toward the edge of the bed. The exam continued despite my distress. I even noticed some bleeding afterward. It was one of the most traumatic medical experiences I've ever had. Although the tests came back negative, I was discharged still feeling extremely ill and lightheaded. While waiting outside for my mom to pull up, I sat on a curb because I genuinely felt like I was going to pass out. During that time, I felt that I was treated without compassion by security personnel and members of an EMS crew who told me I needed to move or police would be called. As someone who was visibly ill, I found that interaction deeply upsetting. Shortly afterward, I collapsed in a Burger King drive-thru. Thankfully, several kind bystanders helped me and called 911. The responding Westland EMS crew that transported me to Garden City Hospital treated me with kindness, professionalism, and respect, and I sincerely appreciate their compassion. Unfortunately, my experience at Garden City Hospital was disappointing. I felt that once staff reviewed my previous emergency department visit, assumptions were made about me rather than taking a fresh look at my condition. As someone with documented chronic pain disorders, I often feel like I'm viewed with suspicion instead of compassion. I felt as though I had to constantly advocate for myself before my pain was taken seriously. The physicians recommended admission for pain control, but I declined because of previous hospital admissions where, in my personal experience, my pain was not managed effectively. I also recently started a new job and was trying to avoid another hospitalization unless absolutely necessary. This experience left me feeling traumatized, unheard, and discouraged. Chronic pain patients deserve to be treated with dignity, compassion, and individualized care--not assumptions based on how often they seek emergency treatment. While I absolutely believe people struggling with addiction deserve compassionate medical care, I also believe patients living with severe chronic illnesses deserve the same level of empathy and respect. I will be filing formal complaints regarding my care because I believe my concerns should be reviewed. My hope is that no other patient--especially someone with a trauma history or complex chronic illnesses--has to go through an experience like this.

My husband went to Dr. Khalil two years ago for a spinal fusion L1S4. After years of suffering pain…read moreand then nerve pain, he was fixed...100% fixed. Recovery took 6-8 weeks as expected but has been pain free since. During his recovery, I started experiencing hip pain. I learned is had a deteriorated SI (sacroiliac) joint. I treated it with steroid injections every 90 days for a year and a half which helped but never quite got me out of pain. We went back to Dr. Khalil and he was able to schedule me for a bilateral SI fusion where they bolt the two joint together from each side to avoid the unnecessary movement in the joint. Although fairly noninvasive, I was back to work in two weeks and now my pain is also 100% gone!!! Dr. Khalil is literally the best surgeon!!! We were both scared making surgery decisions and our only regret now is that we didn't do it sooner. His PA's are also amazing and helped with all our questions and help explain things in normal terms. If you are in pain, we would highly recommend him or at least consider him for a second opinion. He is not one to rush you into surgery which is hard to find these days but definitely the surgeon you want when the time comes!

They did absolutely nothing. I would post a picture but it's far too graphic. I would rate them a ZERO if I could. During the appointment a second person came in and looked at his finger and told him maybe he'll be one of those people where the finger will grow back. Really? Then I guess we wouldn't need incompetent surgeons like those who my Grandson was referred to by the hospital.

Since I can't see that far away, I struggled to see where I was supposed to check in. I don't think that my poor vision was the only cause for confusion, because I saw multiple people come in confused during my ONE-HOUR wait. I thought about leaving due to length of wait coupled with the loud TV tuned in to some ridiculous morning show that was discussing whether addition to porn needed to go into the DSM manual (diagnosis manual for mental diseases.) The waiting room was painful from the TV alone, but the three people that smelled like an ash tray sure didn't improve things. It's so small in there, and I tried to sit as far away as possible, but it didn't help. I'd definitely suggest going to the Dearborn location as it's a bit bigger, but the TV is still quite annoying. The doctor that I went to see was nice enough, seemed to get defensive when I started asking questions. He acted like he was welcoming my questions, but his tone made me feel otherwise. I had heard good things about this office of doctors because my friend that's a PA in orthopedic surgery told me about them. However, the fact that he was going to make me come back in for yet another appointment prior to surgery was unnecessary and a waste of my time. I have had (unfortunately) several orthopedic surgeries in my life and have never had so much office time prior to a surgery. Quite annoying, especially given that I had such a long wait. If it were a quick in-and-out appointment, maybe that wouldn't have annoyed me so much. In the end, I will likely not be using this office for my surgery.

They were compassionate and empathetic and even though I needed a same day appointment on a Monday for her cast, they found a way to make room for us without making me feel like it was a big issue. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. We were in and out in 30 minutes and not once did we feel like they were squeezing us in. We did not have the same expereince at 3 other Orthopedists in the Canton area.
