Very wheelchair accessible via elevator and they do have about 250 plus parking spots (paid) if you wish to drive over and take the E line. Have taken the Expo back to Union Station and all the way down to the beach and had a day of fun in Santa Monica. Great for commuting as a few people have mentioned. A ride one way is less than two dollars with up to 2 hrs of unlimited transfers in one direction... With gas being as much as $6 and up in some parts in LA it's definitely a nice alternative for work and/or play. If traveling with a friend, sig other, the fam or a group factor in gas and parking for you final destination and you're absolutely saving plus you get more of a scenic route for all. I maneuvered the Train System by myself!…read more This was a fun adventure, thanks to Danny N. for the suggestion! I was going to catch the Lyft or Uber to Rowland Heights for a Yelp Event when Danny suggested that I ride the Goldline from Union Station to Irwindale. Genius! Fortunately, Alana and I had caught the train from Union Station to San Diego in the past, so I was a bit familiar with this form of transportation. I had a Tap Card, so I didn't know exactly how much was deducted for the fare. Danny gave me good directions - just go to the back by the Fountain in the Courtyard of Union Station. I also followed the crowd from the bus stop to Union Station - We had to walk across a freeway entrance! This is such an efficient, clean, air conditioned, smooth, and safe mode of transportation! I saw other passengers bring their luggage, bicycles, and pets onboard. Strollers are also allowed - this is really convenient! I was able to pass through/view other cities that I might not ever have. I'd be willing to ride the train again and explore other towns!

Civic Center/Grand Park Metro Station we re-meet…read more After a great night out in DTLA I caught the Red Line (aka B Line) back home. I've been to Civic Center/Grand Park Station more than a handful of times in the past, but it's usually not my default as Pershing is more central. It's a well kept station, minimal issues. I'm not a big fan of the installation of Flying men they have on the train platform. Something about it just doesn't resonate well with me. A for effort and I won't hold that against LA Metro. I do love all the other art, mosaics and overall layout of this station. This station always feels more relaxed and safer than some. You can catch the Metro Red or Purple (aka D Line) heading to Union Station or inbound through Downtown, Koreatown, and eventually through Mid-Wilshire/Central LA and beyond. I typically catch the Red through Hollywood back to North Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley/ area. Fare is $1.75 one way and $3 round trip. You have a lot of options for passes and fares both through the TAP metro app and at the kiosk for purchasing and reloading a physical card. Escalators, elevators and/or stairs available on both entrance/exit ends either at Hill/1st Street or at Grand Park. Q Tip: No metro parking at this station, but there is at Union Station (paid) and 100 free parking spaces at Westlake/MacArthur Park Station. Open 4:30 am until midnight-ish daily.

Fillmore Station is my go to station when starting out a Metro ride! It's not the closest station…read moreto me, but it is the closest FREE parking station! If I'm trying to save money and gas by taking the Metro, why not find a free lot while I'm at it? The entrance to the lot is located on Raymond, close to Fillmore (right across from Jones Coffee Roasters). Remember, all metro riders must park on the 4th or 5th floor! When you get out of the lot and head over to the train, you can also exit the opposite side's gate to get to the CVS in case you forgot anything before the ride! They've got a few TAP Card stations there to refill/purchase your card and go! It's an outdoor station and mainly goes on or above ground. I say this because the Red Line from Union travels underground so I never get reception!

We hopped aboard at 5PM and arrived through HEAVY CRAZY traffic a bit after 7PM as scheduled!? One adult rides for $3 ... WoW. However it stopped all over the place on the way in in spite of it being a Commuter Express. Compared to driving your own car it is slow - but it is a convenient alternative if you're not driving. On this occasion we thought to try it as Friday traffic was bad and I was meeting someone who was already in downtown / thus we wanted to avoid having two cars to drive back. I found the web site for LADOT to be rather incredible. You get live positions and updated ETA on all their busses. The equipment / the bus itself was pretty nice - free of smells or wear and tear which you might see on other busses. The home page cites how they are experimenting with free wifi on some of their busses - however ours' did not have it. The driver was a young man who was observed as exceptionally courteous to us and other patrons. I was really impresed by observing him! However - I have to drop two stars because it was an EXHAUSTING experience riding on the bus. I don't know if that is fair - but it is how I feel about it. If not for the great positives - the equipment + superb driver + tech of the home page I'd have given this one star - I don't like long slow public transportation. I shudder to think how long a regular bus would take to transit the 40-50 miles into downtown LA from my area? I just decided to add a star to 4 - because the service on balance and as a whole was really exceptional. Superior by far over the other busses I've taken in other countries - cities and most certainly compared to the ONE other time I had taken a bus in the Los Angeles area 7or 8 years ago. They've really done a rather fine job with this route and this type of service.

The only problem is when I get off at 7 pm , I don't have time to run from ucla medical center to the bus stop , it is very inconvenient since is the last bus, please whoever from ladot managers if the service can be at least 15 minutes after 7 pm, or until 8 pm, since the nurses get off at 0730.it would be nice , many workers going to The Valley can use the service, more money for the company, and better service to the community it is a big inconvenience, when when we have car problems, hard to get to the west of valley. 761 bus takes almost 2 hours to some parts of valley. Thanks on behalf of all costumers needing the service.it will be appreciated extended service at least until 8 pm . When I had the chance to use 573 bus from ucla to The Valley it's very empty. The bus drivers are friendly. Most bus routes ends at the Green Line Station on Aviation where there are multiple transit lines for transfer. If you work in the El Segundo/Redondo Beach area and commute from the south bay. This is a good alternative to driving down busy 405, Aviation, Hawthorne, etc.

The Los Angeles Metro Expo/Crenshaw Station consists of two distinct parts, located very close to…read moreeach other to make it a transfer station. In effect, it connects the East-West Metro E Line (Expo) to the North-South Metro K Line (Pink), making it a very important station for people trying to get to the airport and sporting venues like Sofi Stadium and Kia Spectrum. The at-grade station servicing the E Line opened on 2012, and was a stop on Phase I connecting downtown LA to Culver City. The underground station being the current terminus of the K Line, opened in 2022. It is quite deep underground (maybe 120 feet), having to take stairs to get to an intermediate floor, and then a long escalator to get to ground level. The two lines do not share a common track, and because the original station is outside, one has to walk street level and possibly cross a busy street to be able to connect. That's what I ended up doing when trying to exit the underground coming from Inglewood, and trying to catch the East bound 'E' train to downtown Los Angeles. Not ideal. The long term goal of the K line is to continue north, connecting to the D line and ultimately the B line. Since both of those lines run underground, it makes sense that this station would be as well. And the connection to make a transfer should be a lot better than what it is in Crenshaw/Expo.

The West Angeles Church opened up their parking lot for commuters but they've now limited the number of floors, making it really hard to find available parking.
