I had a German Heifeweizen. But I was in a pizza mood and had the crumbles sausage and mushroom. The pizza was excellent. It starts with the crust, that was thin but sturdy. The cheese and sauce were good, but the start was that sausage. It was outstanding, with just enough spice. I had the whole pizza which might be a lot for some, but perfect for me. Absolutely worth a visit. Definitely try the pizza!

We sat near the kitchen and were able to see the guy manning the pizza oven. I could not believe when I saw him rubbing his face with his bare hands and wiping his nose right after with his hand. I should have just left, but didn't because my child was hungry and it was late. I just hoped he didn't actually touch the food, just the pizza steel. He kept wiping his nose with his bare hand and I did see him move two different pizzas with the same hand. All I could hope is that the heat would kill any germs and he wouldn't touch our pizza. Just my luck, our server was busy and he delivered it. I ordered a small side salad, but didn't eat more than three bites because the lettuce tasted like plastic bag. The pizza was lackluster. We asked for extra sauce after receiving it because there wasn't any on the pizza to notice, but maybe it soaked in. In any regard, touching your face and wiping your nose (gloves or no gloves) is a no-no in the restaurant business.

Called at about the hour & 15 mark and was told it would be about 20 minutes. Just called again and I guess it might be out for delivery but I really couldn't tell because of the run-around I got. I am about ready to turn the oven on and throw a frozen one in. It will taste like crap, but tasting like crap is better than not having any food at all.

They asked how they could help me, and when I said I wanted to order a pizza, I was told, "It's going to be a while--there are no cooks here." How do you open at a set time and not have anyone there to actually prepare food? If your posted hours say you open at 11:00, customers should reasonably expect you to be ready to serve them at 11:00. Extremely disappointing and a terrible first impression.

My daughter suffered a serious injury at Sahara Pizza when her toe was sliced open by exposed, rusty metal on the front entrance door. The cut went through her toenail and was severe enough that she required an emergency room visit and medical treatment. What has been even more disappointing than the injury itself has been the complete lack of response afterward. I have reached out multiple times over the course of a week by email, text, and phone asking whether an incident report was completed and requesting their liability insurance information. My messages have been read, but no one has responded or even checked on how my daughter is doing. Accidents can happen, but how a business responds afterward says a lot about its commitment to customer safety and accountability. A simple acknowledgment, concern for an injured child, or willingness to communicate would have gone a long way. Instead, we've been met with silence. If you have young children, I would encourage you to be cautious. I hope Sahara Pizza addresses the hazardous condition that caused my daughter's injury and improves the way it handles incidents like this in the future.

I was impressed with it because I am vegan but was hungry and snacked on three pieces. I didn't have diarrhea which is highly unusual for when I eat cheese. It was baked cheese and was quite tasty, and evidently safe for my vegan bowels. However, the salad I ordered without feta. The dressing had apparent meat in it. I just didn't think to ask about meat in dressing but feel other compassionate diet customers should know. Love the building and ambiance. It reminded me of my grandmother and Wisconsin in the 80s. I wish I took more photos.

They have a lounge separate from the family, friendly restaurant area. They have booths and tables. We ordered a medium number 20 Italian sausage, Canadian bacon and onion pizza. $16.99. One chicken cacciatore for $14.99 and one spareribs and lasagna for $14.99 with an up-charge of only $1 for meatballs. Two small green salad salads for around $4.50 each. We both thought that the pizza was good and decent for the price. We grabbed a to-go box pretty quickly after it arrived to keep the flies from it. We both were looking forward to having the meat part to our dishes. My chicken cacciatore was actually one chicken thigh hidden underneath a layer of baked cheese and what is actually baked spaghetti. Based on the description, I thought it was going to be chicken cacciatore with mushrooms and sauce, and a side of spaghetti. My husband was surprised that his spare ribs were also underneath a layer of baked on cheese and baked lasagna as opposed to just having spareribs with lasagna and meatballs. The best thing about the place was having plenty of parking and comfortable seating and friendly staff. The price was decent too. We both feel like we need a do-over for spareribs and chicken cacciatore because it was mostly baked spaghetti and baked lasagna. I also prefer more sauce on my spaghetti and pizza.
