Upon entering you're warmly greeted with luxurious aromatherapy and a super clean and modern atmosphere. The reception swaps your shoes out and provides these comfy foam slippers to walk around the spa with. We booked a room for two for just the headspa service, which was nicely lit and smelled amazing with relaxing music. Lily and Tina serviced us, these ladies gave such a wonderful massage and scalp treatment and treated us like royalty. Usually I get pretty anxious and tense when I'm approached with unfamiliar physical contact but they both did an amazing job at setting a relaxing tone. I literally almost fell asleep (and I'm usually ALWAYS on high alert/tense) because it felt so good. THEY WERE GETTING UP IN THERE. Ever heard of that tiktok audio "FUHHH U DIGGIN IN MEEE"? lmao thats literally what kept replaying in my head as she worked my scalp. Everything from the robes, blankets, bed, and products were a 10/10 it was so easy to lose track of time. My friend and I both agreed that hour went by so quick lol! My hair looks and feels amazing after the final blow dry; they used dysons so it wasn't overly hot or loud. Also bonus points for the little snacks and drinks they provided, so cute. Pricing was a breeze and I definitely felt like we got a great deal. They are a new spa however so I'm expecting prices to increase over time but even still now is definitely a great time to book for the value! They also offer other services like a full body massage, foot massage, facials, and RMT massage (double the price because they are licensed massage therapists). Will 100000% be returning and recommending to everyone! TIPS: 1: Parking and entrance is at the VERY BACK of the building. 2: Bring cash!! It's not required (they take tap to pay and card) but it will save you 10% off your total. They have an ATM if you want to pull money. 3: You have the option to receive a headspa treatment with their brand new massage beds for the same price as being on a normal massage bed, but they are very popular and first come first serve so the receptionist recommended calling ahead of time.

I decided to try Fans Head Spa again after I wasn't completely satisfied during my first visit. I…read morehave to say this time, I was very happy with the service from beginning to end. The lady who I had today for my head spa was Linda. She was very friendly and gave exceptional service. The head massage was very relaxing and I liked how I had the room to myself. The head massage starts with some aromatherapy and deep breathing followed by the head massage. They then wash your hair twice, condition, and rinse it off. Afterwards, you get a shoulder massage. Once the massage is done, you go to another room where you get your hair blow dried. They have Dyson hair dryers and use salon products like the Revlon and Moroccan Oil. I noticed on their website that they mention you might be sharing a room. However, if you don't want to share a room you just have to mention it in your booking. Good to know since I wasn't aware the first time around. Linda made my spa visit very enjoyable that I will definitely book with her in the near future.

The location is clean, bright and the beds are set up ready to go. The beds are little short for us (if you're tall your legs might touch the wall) but they're HEATED which was awesome. My masseuse Betty was very attentive to my needs. It's not meant to be a slow-paced, aromatherapy massage. She has quick hands and great technique to get to your tight spots. She warned me in advance that my back would be sore for a few days, so no surprises. They apply menthol cooling cream as well to help with relaxing your muscles. Also does a few stretching / twisting poses to help with the massage. The head massage portion was fantastic, and the weighted hot towel felt amazing at the end to relax my back. We did a $79+ tax for 90 min combo, we used it all for body massage, but would love to try their foot massage as well. Currently not accepting any new RMT patients, but yes for acupuncture

Ok so I've been three times now and I've decided to leave a review. I always book the couples…read moremassage and the first two times I went it was very relaxing, but this third time was what convinced me to write a review for one particular masseuse in general because I'm not sure what type of witchcraft TCM practice she used on me but I feel my entire back is back in alignment, my blood flow is back, and my (tmi) bowels are back in working order. Bear in mind with Real Chinese massages, there is supposed to be pain. My body during the process was under so. mUCH. PAIN. I was wailing a lot and the secondary masseuse who was working on my partner was concerned but my masseuse responded with "don't worry I know what I'm doing" and continued the excruciating pain. I did not know this kind of massage was what I needed at the time because although I asked for full body, the first two times i had gotten only back and arm massages... but this one? Oh she absolutely knew what she was doing and did not cut corners. I will warn you thát if you do not have high pain tolerance, you aren't ready for this kind of massage. And even though I was in so much pain, she reassured thát the pain will only be for today and tomorrow there will be less pain. I don't know how she knew I was sitting on my ass at my desk a lot or knew that I was lacking sleep, but I really felt taken care of. They say if you have a lot of pain during the massage it means that there's something wrong with your body. I definitely believe it now. I left feeling like a tenderized chicken. If you come here, ask for Anna or Ada.

I came here for a foot reflexology and body massage package. Booking was easy by phone and their…read morepackage prices are very reasonable. I loved the foot massage and I was in a quiet private room which was nice. There was a TV, but it wasn't turned on. I'm not sure if you can ask them to put something on, but I prefer to read my book anyways. My massage therapist was great even if we didn't communicate all that much (she spoke Mandarin and I don't!). The body massage is the Tuina style, and it was ok but I prefer Swedish massage with oil, which is just a personal preference. I chose this place because of their sauna, but I was kind of disappointed. It is really small and it is crammed into the unisex locker room which is also the only place there is a customer washroom. So you have to get changed in the washroom (otherwise the door is open and people are passing by, so not exactly private!) and there is no lounge area to sit before/after the sauna (for instance if you want to do a few rounds). The sauna itself is a bit hazardous, a few slats of the wood are collapsing and there are metal nails!! I have been to a ton of saunas but have never encountered this, as it makes no sense because the nails get super HOT!! It's not like there are a ton of them and you can just sit carefully to ensure you don't touch them, but still, this seems like very poor design. The location is convenient, in a plaza near many bubble tea, dessert places and Asian restaurants. I would go back for foot reflexology but I would go elsewhere if I want to use a sauna.

This place isn't as fancy…read moreas some of the larger, better decorated spas -- and actually a bit difficult to find in the back of the Chinese Centre. However, you'll get a nice thorough massage from friendly staff without spending a ton of money. You can feel free to walk-in if you don't have an appointment and you'll be accommodated without an issue. Be aware though that it might be little harder to communicate if you don't speak Mandarin Chinese (though you can get by through phone translations or pointing at the product you want). Also, be prepared for the session to be a bit "rough" if you are not used to reflexology --- though you can request less pressure and more gentle massaging.

Went here desperate for some relaxation after a stressful few months…read more I received a very good reflexology massage and my legs felt like new afterwards. It was rough, but relaxing. Quite an experience for my first time. I also opted for an RMT session as it seemed reasonably priced. This was a mistake. The same woman who did my reflexology also did the RMT service. I was surprised when she walked into the second room. I asked her "you're the RMT?" and she just stared at me due to a language barrier. I just kind of shrugged and thought to myself "how bad could it be?". Turns out, very bad. It was a very rough massage with no particular skill applied to it. I was vocal every time it hurt by saying "OW", so thankfully she understood that word. There were parts that felt nice and others that were straight up painful. Yes, RMT sessions are painful sometimes. But skillfully/strategically painful. This massage was more just consistent friction, up and down motions and poking. I swear, once she headed for my scalp I was relieved because how badly can you mess that up... honestly, I thought she was trying to manually labotomize me. Crack me open like a coconut. This woman was not an RMT. As I paid, I noticed the photocopied RMT certificate on the wall. The name on the wall did not match the woman I had. The provided RMT receipt had the same wall name and was pre-signed by this unknown person in a different colour pen. All kinds of sketchy. I refuse to even send that to my insurance company and I will eat the cost due to my own sheer stupidity. A few days later I spent the money (a lot more actually) all over again and had an additional emergency session with a real RMT. He was shocked at the state I was in and why. Lesson learned = you get what you pay for, if it seems to good to be true, it is, etc...
