I called VPS and victor promptly answered the phone and actually scheduled me for the following morning. He promptly arrived diagnosed the issue the motherboard but come to find out they no longer make the board ...No problem Victor to the rescue he took the motherboard home and repaired the capacitor and returned a few hours later to complete the job. he troubled shooted and discovered my clogged vents of 14 years caused the dryer to over heat. so getting to the root cause Victor cleaned out my dryer vent with a approx 20 ft run. He then as a precaution changed the thermistor (took the entire machine apart) and clean the inside like new all for a more than reasonable rate. Definitely top notch service at a reasonable price. if I had more hands I would give him 4 thumbs up ‐------‐------------------------------------------------------------------------ he usado victor varias veces desde 2018 trabajo excepcional.

It is rare to find an honorable, knowledgeable repairman with integrity - I am fortunate now to…read morehave found a mechanic and now an appliance repairman. Don't let the Jamaican accent get in the way, Steve was very knowledgeable, very quickly found out what the problems was and I know you will find this as a strange review - but he did not fix the problem. He told me it would be less expensive to buy a new one -- and even told me where to buy it. I have had many a repairman try to con me into letting them fix something where it costs more than the purchase of a new one and a quick google search saved me. I always prefer knowledgeable with integrity, it save me the hassle of trying to figure out if I'm getting scammed. I will definitely be calling Steve at Amerijam in the future.

I contacted my Home Warranty company regarding my broken washing machine, which had started making…read morea loud noise during high-speed spin cycles. The Home Warranty sent a technician from Amerijam to diagnose the problem. After inspecting the machine, the technician told me that the tub bearings were worn out and that the entire tub assembly would need to be replaced because the bearings could not be replaced separately on this particular model. I questioned why he could not replace just the bearings, but he insisted that replacing the entire tub was necessary. The following day, the Home Warranty company called me and informed me that they had denied the repair because the tub was not covered under my warranty. However, after doing some research online, I discovered that the bearings on my washing machine model can, in fact, be replaced individually without replacing the entire tub. Several sellers on eBay offer bearing replacement kits specifically for this model, some of which include instructions. There are also multiple YouTube videos demonstrating how to replace the bearings on this exact model. After the technician's visit, I even sent him a link showing how the bearings could be replaced, but he never responded. I paid $75 for this troubleshooting visit, only to receive what appears to have been either an inaccurate diagnosis or an unnecessarily expensive repair recommendation. Based on my experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Amerijam. I believe the technician either lacked the necessary expertise or was recommending an unnecessarily costly repair. I would not recommend this company. My experience left me feeling that the situation was handled unfairly and that I was being pushed toward an expensive repair that may not have been necessary. I strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before accepting a diagnosis from this company.

Knowledgeable and Trustworthy!…read more I have a 15+ year old refrigerator that neither the refrigerator or freezer were working. Akai inspected the entire unit and indicated the issue was the defroster in the freezer wasn't working and needed to be replaced. He quoted me what I thought was a very fair price but before I could say "Shut up and take my money!" he added that when he had unplugged the unit & plugged it back in, when starting up again the compressor sounded a bit suspicious. Thus he indicated I could go ahead and pay him to install a new defroster in the freezer, but it is only a matter of time before the compressor craps out and then replacing it would be over $1,000 and not worth it. So get this....he proposes that I defrost it the old school way by unplugging it, opening both the freezer & fridge doors, placing towels in front of the unit, and allowing all of the ice to melt and then just mop up all the water with towels and my wet vac and that would solve the problem for now. And in a few months when the issue occurs again I can just repeat the old school defrosting method until the compressor finally goes kaput, and then get a brand new refrigerator. Sure enough, I proceeded to do exactly what he recommended and lo and behold the fridge & freezer started working properly again. And I am all too happy to repeat every few months to squeeze every last bit of life from this old fridge until I have to get a new one. Akai could have very easily kept quiet about the compressor sounding sketchy and that it could fail in 3 weeks, 3 months, or 3 years and gotten a nice service order for replacing the defroster since he had already devoted the valuable time & effort to come to my house. However, he instead chose to be completely honest and forthcoming which is not as common as it should be and is very appreciated. I have saved his contact info and the next time I have any issues with any appliances he will be the technician I call. Knowledge and experience is great and there are a lot of qualified & knowledgeable appliance repair companies out there. However, also possessing honesty and integrity is why I strongly recommend Akai for any appliance repair issues.
