Those who know me would not likely be surprised by this. Am I crazy? No, as all of these folks have been kind enough to assure me, I'm not. I just like to have the tools I need to get through life's little twists and turns. Overall, I have had about 200 sessions over the past 30+ years, I usually go for a brief period to help me get through this or that, and this last brief period, I've been seeing the talented Dr. Hawkins. She's thoughtful, smart, perfectly balanced style of listening and chiming in, leading me down the path of understanding but not actually taking me beyond where I'm comfortable. Choosing the right fit for a therapist is key to being able to work through what you're there for, and for me, this is a perfect fit.

Historically, I'd come out of months of sessions with past psychologists feeling like I had achieved little more than temporarily effective emotional venting. Yet I was motivated to try therapy one more time, with one more psychologist, only by the insistence of my wife. I'm very grateful that I did. I have now completed just under a year of therapy with Dr Sonnanburg, finally knowing, for the first time, that profoundly meaningful, lasting, fundamental changes have occurred with my thinking, general disposition, self-control, attitude, interpersonal communication skills and much more. And this is not only from my perspective. These changes have also been seen by others who know me best and my wife - the person who knows me better than anyone, demands the best I am capable of, and is my most constructive critic. Dr. Sonnanburg has provided me with an effective toolset for lifelong healthy, constructive daily living, thinking and human relationship-building.
