this company managed the building that my brother owned a co-op in. He passed away in May 2025, by suicide. It was sudden, he was single, a first responder NYPD retired detective. This management company treated his family so poorly and so disrespectfully.. They would not let us in his apartment or the building for over a week despite the fact that come to the apartment upon discovering his body on the beach, and the custodians even told his , me, live next-door so they knew he had a living relative right next-door. Long story short, they treated us horribly throughout our getting letters of administration to settle his badge us with getting his car out of the garage his bicycle, etc. even though we told him we were working overtime to get everything settled so that we could the apartment in a timely fashion after getting our legal papers. They respected nothing that we were going through, John Wolf himself, called me up and had some horrible things to say about my brother, concerned only getting their money. It's not even a year yet, and the bank has put us into foreclosure which we discovered that a co-op can do without any kind of legal documentation. They can urge the bank to do this. The bank talk to us despite our legal documents, we had a cash buyer. Who was a legitimate business owner had great credit writing and the board rejected him for a reason that we don't know we're not allowed to ask them so to believe that the board of the just did not want this to go through the apartment? Was foreclosure twice without us having the required notice by law and today it was sold at auction for over $125,000 less than what it was worth . This is the absolute worst disgusting management company ever and I would urge anybody to not ever buy a unit in a building that is managed by them... We did everything we were supposed to do by the book. And yet they did not that is supposed to be your You do not want these monsters over your property. read more

This management company is absolutely horrible. Everything they do is through snail mail and avoid anything online, the employees are neither empathetic nor kind to people's situation. They do not care that they work around people's homes, places where people need to live. They will lose documents and physical checks and not apologize for it. If a property uses them as their management company, tread with extreme caution. read more

This is a very bizarre company with administrative practices that are unnecessarily complicated, antiquated and downright unfriendly. The year is 2020 and all correspondence for a board package is done via snail mail. Yes. You read this right. Snail mail. If any board members or shareholders who have this company as their management company are reading this, you should know that the way that sales and board packages are handled is not efficient, nor does it resemble how the industry works. UPDATED: 2/23/2018: Sharon no longer is with A wolfe, and now we have even worse problems that our management rep never responds to anyone. The son of the OWNER is our new rep and he could care less to contact us back. Our board has even contacted him and they get no reply. They have printed our tax return information incomplete and sent it out wrong probably three times. I called two times in one day because we did not have hot water and no one ever called us back. I guess Sharon was mean, but at least she would acknowledge me in her nastiness? The worse of two evils I suppose. OLDER review: Agreed with the rest of the reviews. I personally deal with Sharon and she is always defensive and rude in email or on the phone. She honestly should get a new job as she seems miserable doing this. My co-op had no hot water for weeks and I had to call their hotline everyday at 5am to report the complaint. She likes to mention that she responded to those calls. Well I would expect you to as this is your job. It took almost two months for them to actually fix the issue. She is truly a pain in the butt to deal with and I can understand why people don't email to report things or talk to this company. We pay them to help us and it's like having hot water or no mice is a burden on their lives. She always has to have the last word and never gives you a strait answer to your question. If I could fire them myself I would but I can't. She makes me hate that I purchased a co-op. read more

I am a condo owner in Ronkonkoma NY since 1998. These people took over CAMCO as our maintenance company. CAMCO was a real disaster so I was hoping these folks would be an improvement and, believe me, it would not take much. However, since Alexander Wolf has been our "maintenance" company, all they appear to do is harass owners like me and charge them extra "fees" and do no maintenance whatsoever. My tenant found garbage dumped in the woods in front of our lovely end unit condo and despite numerous notifications form him they did nothing. They were too busy charging condo owners lease "filing fees" and "late fees" for HOAs that were cashed by them on the 1st of every month, which I still have to get resolution on. They are litigious, vicious and act as if, we the clients, are their hired help. Something needs to be done about this company read more

They don't return phone calls. Emails are nasty and not helpful. Never receive information about meetings or minutes of board meetings. Unprofessional, unpleasant and uncooperative! Owners should be treated respectfully as we are shareholders. We pay HOA for services and should be able to get answers to questions. read more

the worst managing agent in history. they've delayed closing on an apartment at 55 e 65th street for weeks due to bizarre application process from the middle ages. would never recommend them to another coop in manhattan. principal and administrative staff are horrifically uncommunicative and lazy. pathetic company that should be out of business. read more

They rarely respond, when they do it's either late or unhelpful, and they're extremely defensive and argumentative. I think I really dodged a bullet here, considering all the terrible reviews people have posted. I had to deal with Valerie Cusano both on the phone and through emails. She is nasty, rude, and doesn't let you speak. She talks over you and is very short with you. I am so glad I won't have to deal with these people anymore. Horrible management. I just bought a coop at north isle village in Coram. They don't care if it's 300 degrees outside, they take their sweet time fixing the Ac. When I call the office I get told that there's 90 other units on the wait list! In the winter the indoor pool was closed to repairs. Now the outdoor pool is closed for repairs until 2017! Really?? But god forbid you pay your maintenance fees a few days late. You get slammed a late fee. And not to mention some of the nastiest people I've ever dealt with. A word of caution. Check your your co ops management company BEFORE you buy. They suck. read more

My family and I lived in a building managed by Wolf Management for 8 years. We did not have many positive experiences with them during this time. This company is run by people who have some of the poorest communications skills we have ever come across. Most of their employees are extremely rude and nasty individuals who really don't care about you or the problem you are having. During our 8 years in the building, we had countless property managers who never stayed on the job for any extended period of time. The most recent property manager was Eric Lash. He may be the most worthless property manager of them all yet had stayed on the job the longest...go figure! They charge money for every service possible even though the building I lived in pays them a hefty fee year after year. Any time we questioned them, they would say this is what was agreed upon. (I guess part of the blame can be shared with the board of directors in this case but that's another story altogether) We are beyond thrilled that we no longer live in a building managed by Wolf Management. Based on our experiences with them, we would never buy or rent in a building managed by them ever again. We could NEVER recommend family, friends or colleagues live in a building run by Wolf Management. They are that bad. And the worst part of it all...they really don't care! read more

They work closely with shareholders to resolve and stay on top of issues that affect them directly, as well as other residents in general. My client was seller her condo and it was the morning of closing and everyone was present and waiting to sign papers and move on...then I realized that I totally spaced and forgot to get a letter from this management company in order to move forward with the closing. I left everyone waiting and called Alexander Wolf & Company for help! My call was answered immediately and I was connected to Tracy. She absolutely went above and beyond for me. I was able to scan her the documents requested and she turned around my request in less than a half-hour! I was able to finish the closing and everyone walked away happy!
