I can't believe Fairfield is treating me like a criminal as they won't allow me to rent any of their other properties because I had legitimate complaints where I'm living now and they won't renew my lease because of that. I'm not well to move. Submitted to them my dr's notes saying a move would be detrimental to my existing health condition and they disregarded it and didn't even reply back. They are putting me in a very dangerous situation cause I don't have the strength to move, it's very costly, and I pay copays for treatments and they couldn't care less. I can't find a townhouse because they have the monopoly in Suffolk County. I'm a good tenant who never defaulted on her rent, place in perfect condition and have a great credit rating. Lost my husband two years ago and moved from NJ to be near my family and what a mistake living in NYS is, especially Suffolk County! Previously Sutton Landing , bought out by Fairfield and now Fairfield Knolls at Mount Sinai. As predicted , Fairfield has lived down to their name. Dead trees and weeds litter the landscape. The pool and hot tub were filled in April, yet were closed and unable to use this past Memorial Day weekend. I do not recommend renting an apartment from Fairfield Station, especially at the Deer Park Fairfield Station location. For over two years they have had an issue with humid air blowing in the apartments. They said it's a boiler broken and being fixed. The hot air creating mold and mildew I'm the apartment where I have my kids. I've been trying to get them to come and fix it and each time you speak to them, they tell you they will come back in a few days. Again no one has come. My lawyer has come to take pictures and. I've told them I'm not paying them any additional rent until the entire house has been cleaned. I am preparing to file a lawsuit against them for negligence. Rent at your own risk. read more

I rented at 717 Conklin St Farmingdale, NY. When I first moved in, I had to clean the place thoroughly since they did a poor job cleaning it up before I moved in. The gasket on the washing machine was discolored from mold. I found long cat hair throughout the apartment. I had a meth addict living next-door to me and unsanitary sickly unkept tenants. During my short day, the police were there on several occasions disrupting my sleep. The place was like a run down New York City housing project. The place stunk from weed and cigarette smoke. The heat barely came up. I would not stay there for free. out of the 12 apartments I believe only 2 of us were paying cash for the rent. Beware when you leave, they will deduct things made up charges from your security deposit. I will likely file a complaint with the Attorney General's office consumer fraud section. On 4/17/24 our next door neighbor knocked on my door late at night with a meat cleaver. We've tried calling/emailing property manager Krystal Lambert and leasing agent Pamela Cassidy about this incident multiple times, but nobody has yet to respond to this day (4/28/24). We are deeply upset over this ordeal, especially since Fairfield hasn't answered our pleas to move us to a safer location. As a result, we left our apartment over safety concerns, filed an order of protection against this person and called Fox 5 news to expose Fairfield for their incompetence and lack of communication during this troubling situation. They don't do preventative maintenance and after you've had a disaster - water seeping up through the floor all over the apartment, they simply do not answer emergency phone calls. You have to submit your problem through the computer portal and hope they notice sooner rather than later. When you finally manage to get someone on the phone, i.e. the "property manager" who you've never met in person, she gets nasty and actually hangs up on you! I didn't have use of my washing machine for 2 weeks because apparently, Fairfield has so many properties now they can't handle them all. Now my dryer has an issue and although one of the maintenance people looked at it, he said an appliance repair man has to be called and he has no idea how long that will take - it's been over a week thus far. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Do NOT rent from any Fairfield Properties. What I have experienced in the time being there no one should have considering the amount of money they charge the "fools like me" who actually work and pay their rent on time/early. Management is absolutely horrible and you will never get a response from them. I have dealt and witnessed over a dozen evictions, SWAT in my building because of drug dealers (they are in every building regardless of what town the property is in), my tires have been stolen and so have others- yet they can't seem to put up cameras or have security. There are homeless people living in the dungeon (basement) of the buildings, MORE section 8 than ever before (I'm assuming due to the evictions for people not paying their rent so it's guaranteed state money for them). There is mold growing from the basement up into the apartments. The hot water NEVER works. Dog sh*t everywhere. Maintenance drives over muddy grass with their little golf carts and causes the walkways to be soaked in mud, yet they raise your rent astronomically each year due to rising costs and "keeping up with the property." What a joke. Lastly, I was told by the super when I was in the middle of moving out that he had to come in and measure (with a contractor) because they were going to completely REMODEL my apartment. I had an inspection done the week prior and still have the paperwork stating there is NOTHING wrong with my apartment. These horrible people only gave me back $53 out of my entire security deposit claiming AFTER I moved they found issues. Well how come 2 weeks prior there were none????????? I have the entire inspection recorded as well. This company has been on the news for not giving security deposits back. I have been trying to get ahold of the property manager and I keep getting ignored. I will be consulting my lawyer and the news. Fairfield is a horribly run company that cares ONLY about their bottom line. They have zero regard for their clients and the communities they supposedly manage. Fairfield took over Sutton Landing in Deer Park (55+ community) about 5 months ago. They immediately downsized the community dumpsters to the point that they now regularly overflow in between the times they are emptied, leaving no alternative but to place the garbage on the ground. Property staff member, Antoinette Kirrane sent an email to the community last week saying anyone who puts their garbage on the floor will be fined and that we should walk from dumpster to dumpster to find one that is not overflowing. I replied to her to ask Fairfield to put back the original, larger dumpsters, and I said it's unfair to ask an elderly community to walk from dumpster to dumpster with their garbage. This was the response I received, word for word, "We are not Sutton and are not getting larger dumpsters. We are not asking but telling you to put garbage in the dumpster not on the floor, otherwise you will get a fine." Since Fairfield DOESN'T TAKE PHONE CALLS, I sent an email to their customer complaint email customercare@fairfieldproperties.com . My complaint HAS GONE UNANSWERED!!!!! read more

We recently moved into our newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment at Fairfield Tudor At North Babylon. Our apartment is clean and everything is brand new! The complex is so well kept and the nicest dog friendly people! Celeste was our agent and was wonderful and helpful from start to finish. I highly recommend this apartment complex. read more

RUDE RECEPTIONIST AND DOORMAN AT THE CORPORATE OFFICE IN MELVILLE. I had to drop off a time sensitive document. The doorman was rude off the bat. I had to get buzzed into the office like it was Fort Knox. The receptionist barely looked up from her cell phone. I kindly told her this envelope was supposed to be delivered ASAP. She just said, "She'll get it." -and promptly returned to her cell phone. If I was a different kind of person I might have said something but I was shocked and just left. This complex is rediculious I moved in to an apartment that smelled like dog piss had chewed walls no working stove , dishwasher or ice maker. It took a month of me emailing constantly to hear a response the man came said he fixed it but it was still broken. I invested my own money to repair it.. I asked multiple times to have someone come and take a look at the damage in the place after I moved in... nobody came luckily I have photos so if they try not to gove me my deposit I will fight them on it. The negative reviews on fairfield is outrageous and I can see and understand why. I live in fairfield waterside and I've been left without heat with a baby for a week and a half now. The first month living there I had poop. Yes POOP in my bathtub!! This is a health crisis!! Someone call the board of health!! I had to leave my apartment for a couple days. The Maintinece staff here is Awfullllllllll!!!! NEXT- we were without HEAT with a baby for 4 days!! We had to leave where we lived because of no heat ! This should be a lawsuit! Fairfield, they refuse to follow court order and pay us what is owed. They own buildings all over long island including Douglaston and Far Rockaway. They advertise themselves as luxury apartments and rent is closer to 2,000 plus. They are crooks and broke!! We left their apartment last August in good standing. They first held on to our security for over 60 days, then they said they mailed it to us which they never did, 4 months passed and no check while they still said that they mailed it. Took them to small claims court, they asked for more time, had to come back Again to court, they claimed it was all a big confusion and said they had to recut the check, they lost the case and court ordered them to pay me my entire security (which they never denied that they owed me) plus other damages. Months later..THEY STILL HAVEN'T PAID. They owe us our security of over 1800 plus damages and fees totaling over 3,000. Message me for a copy of the court order for proof. They are cons. They are taking over other buildings, left projects half finished in our building, almost no construction staff. Dont be fooled by the model apartments or any apartment. Don't move into any of these apartments. First of all, they're a rip off. We live in the Fairfield on 1314 Smithtown Ave in Bohemia. It's a nice apartment, but the rent goes up every year and the electric bill is absolutely outrageous. Also some of the people that live in these apartments are complete trash, Especially apartment number # 11. They rent it out to AIR BNB sometimes and there are about 5 people who live in a one bedroom apartment. Do you see what I'm saying!?! They also leave their Christmas decorations up and it's almost July. They leave their garbage everywhere outside also. They have a littering problem.
