this company managed the building that my brother owned a co-op in. He passed away in May 2025, by…read moresuicide. It was sudden, he was single, a first responder NYPD retired detective. This management company treated his family so poorly and so disrespectfully.. They would not let us in his apartment or the building for over a week despite the fact that come to the apartment upon discovering his body on the beach, and the custodians even told his , me, live next-door so they knew he had a living relative right next-door. Long story short, they treated us horribly throughout our getting letters of administration to settle his badge us with getting his car out of the garage his bicycle, etc. even though we told him we were working overtime to get everything settled so that we could the apartment in a timely fashion after getting our legal papers. They respected nothing that we were going through, John Wolf himself, called me up and had some horrible things to say about my brother, concerned only getting their money. It's not even a year yet, and the bank has put us into foreclosure which we discovered that a co-op can do without any kind of legal documentation. They can urge the bank to do this. The bank talk to us despite our legal documents, we had a cash buyer. Who was a legitimate business owner had great credit writing and the board rejected him for a reason that we don't know we're not allowed to ask them so to believe that the board of the just did not want this to go through the apartment? Was foreclosure twice without us having the required notice by law and today it was sold at auction for over $125,000 less than what it was worth . This is the absolute worst disgusting management company ever and I would urge anybody to not ever buy a unit in a building that is managed by them... We did everything we were supposed to do by the book. And yet they did not that is supposed to be your You do not want these monsters over your property.

Avoid Eagle Rock Management -- Repeated Lease Violations and Zero Accountability…read more If you're thinking about renting from Eagle Rock, think twice -- especially if you're relocating with family and counting on them to deliver what they promise. I signed a lease for a unit in Springfield, VA in June 2025. A few weeks later, Eagle Rock revoked that lease, saying the current tenant decided not to move out. They offered me a second unit with a new move-in date of August 12. I signed that lease, booked movers, shipped my car across the country, set up utilities, and enrolled my children in school. One week before the move, I was informed -- not by Eagle Rock, but by Verizon -- that this second unit was also still occupied and the tenant had "revoked their notice." Eagle Rock never notified me, never offered a written solution, and left me in limbo just days before uprooting my entire life. This is gross mismanagement at best, and potentially discriminatory behavior in violation of Virginia's Fair Housing laws. They've now had two separate tenants back out and did nothing to secure the unit before promising it to me. Meanwhile, I'm left managing the legal fallout while preparing to move with my kids. If you value clear communication, legal integrity, or basic professionalism -- go elsewhere.

He personally knows the owner, Frank Ferrantello, and also had a long relationship with Frank's dad. We had our property staked out several months ago. More recently a discrepancy ensued between our survey and the so-called "survey" obtained by the adjacent property. We learned earned the hard way that there are a lot of really shoddy surveyor companies around. It's shocking, we know, but true. They promise you a real "deal" if you use them, but then you just end up paying way more later because while they may give you your "survey" they don't back up their survey with actual reference points and then when your property is in jeopardy of being encroached upon they don't answer the phone and can't be reached. If the price looks suspiciously good...there's probably a good reason for that. You get what you pay for. We felt very vulnerable when this happened to us and Farrentello Group surveyors were THERE for us. They were professional and HONEST and very very knowledgeable. It's a family business and they are in this business for years. Frank is a real human being; a mentch :) I told him that recently and his response was that his name is on the line. Literally. We don't normally post on social media but we feel there is widespread injustice being done to unsuspecting consumers and at the end of the day we will sleep better knowing we at least tried to get the word out. He was also the "property manager for that building" and knew nothing of what it looked like inside. Shady company crappy pretend employees. Also the listing may have had wrong photos and wrong definatly had wrong info. Upon initially calling their office they wanted too much personal info just to return a call.
