I had my eye on these beautiful black leather boots for 2 years before I finally bought them. They were comfortable, but much to my disappointment, the soles had zero traction and I was certain I'd slip and fall if I wore them out of the house. Al re-soled them for around $35 (if memory serves) during the week of Thanksgiving in 2025 in around 3 days. The soles look seamless and no one would be able to tell that they weren't the originals. They have solid traction on the ground and I am happy to report that I have not slipped once.

I had been carrying my shoe around in my car for the past few weeks - stitching on the back strap…read morewas starting to pull out - all it needed was to be restiched. If I had an industrial sewing machine, I could have done it myself - it seemed to be a real simple repair. I was stopped at a light, noticed this repair shop in a strip mall and thought "Why not, I'm sick of carrying this shoe around with me." The person at the counter told me "No problem, come back in a few hours and your shoe will be ready". His cost, $5.00 or $10.00 at the most. Later on in the day, I returned, and much to my surprise, instead of restiching, the shoe repairman, had replaced my soft baby grey suede shoe with a new strap in Black Patent Leather! And then he had the audacity to tell me the cost would now be 20 bucks because so much more work went into the repair. He did save my cut offed original strap, so hopefully I can find another shoe guy to fix his screw up. Moral of this story, read the yelp reviews before you venture into uncharted territory.

Wow, pretty rude people here. They obviously don't need more business. The lady was relatively…read morecordial, but whoever the guy is, seemed like he couldn't be bothered. Thought I'd give them a try and wanted to get my shoes reconditioned, I literally said "these need some love", but he immediately dismissed doing anything to them. Told me what was wrong and to take them back to the shoe hospital and have them fix it, then bring them back to him so he could shine them. I asked what it would cost if he stripped them down and he said verbatim, "I don't want to inherit other peoples problems." Very interesting comment, I mean, I thought that's what he does is fix peoples shoes. I guess if you're not a long time customer or brought your shoes to him from the beginning, or whatever his lofty criteria is to work on your shoes, I apparently didn't meet his upper echelon bar. I don't mind the truth and honest assessment that someone jacked up my shoes. I'm willing to pay for great work, which he seems to do, but outright dismissing me because he didn't like what some other place did and take it out on me? That's some BS right there. Again, isn't that what you do? You're literally in business to repair shoes. Not sure he got that memo. His attitude seems to be that he's the only person in Houston capable of doing shoes. My interaction with them was about 5 minutes in total and this is the impression he left on me. Well done. Best of luck to you. No worries, fine, won't be getting any business from me and I suspect they don't care. So, if you're new to them and think you'd like to give them a try, don't bother. So whatever your names are, I'm going to leave this review right here for you and everyone else that decides to look you up. You're welcome. Giving you back the welcome you gave me.

I recommend them to everyone for boot repair, the Lucchese store sent me to them years ago. My BucketList includes a pair of Maida"s Bespoke boots. If you are unfamiliar with the term "Bespoke" here is the definition; Bespoke boots are custom-made footwear designed specifically for an individual, tailored to their unique measurements, preferences, and style. Unlike mass-produced boots, bespoke options offer a personalized fit and can incorporate specific materials, colors, and design elements chosen by the customer. This process typically involves consultations with a skilled cobbler or artisan, ensuring that the final product meets the wearer's exact specifications for comfort and aesthetics.
