I've really enjoyed living in this apartment community. The property is well-maintained, with clean common areas and landscaping that's clearly cared for on a regular basis. The management team has been responsive and professional whenever I've had questions or needed assistance. Heidi, the manager, does a great job keeping everything running smoothly, and Arielle, the assistant manager, is always helpful and approachable. Illiana and Romina in the leasing office are also wonderful--friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to assist with anything that comes up. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently. This has been my favorite living experience, and I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to live. read more

I've lived here for 2+ years now and I plan on renewing! For 3 mains reasons: 1. The leasing office cares! Daniel, Valeria, and Arielle in the leasing office have been here since I signed and they're incredibly responsive - they go above and beyond to help out. Even maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. 2. The amenities and units are great - the pool and gym are well maintained and you're in walking distance to the trails and shopping. Plus, my apartment is super well finished, they don't just paint over issues 3. I think the price is right considering everything mentioned above. Downtown starts to get super expensive and up North is further from Zilker/night life - this is convenient area where you're still close to everything and but not paying an arm and a leg. I've seen some complaints about fire alarms or security deposits or noise - and almost every apartment deals with those so I would take it with a grain of salt! I've lived here for about a year and only have good things to say. The staff: The manager Daniel is very kind, organized, and goes above and beyond to help you. I had a contractor really mess up something in my apartment and Daniel went out of his way to help me get it fixed. He's also very positive every time I interact with them, and I deeply appreciate it. The maintenance team: Carlos and Miguel are absolute professionals. They quickly respond to work orders, will give you timelines if you don't hear from them, and are very friendly people. Bigger shoutout to Miguel for dealing with the trash chutes when people throw things in there they aren't supposed to. Overall atmosphere: Neighbors are quiet and mindful. It's relatively peaceful. There's only been an occasional loud party or two, but nothing that keeps you up all night. People here are open to talk and interact with each other. If you own a dog, there are plenty of mini dog parks to take care of your puppy. Cons: Honestly very few. The only downside is one of the dog parks near the parking lot will make the hallways smell during the summer. I've talked to the staff about it and they have continually found solutions to prevent that. read more

Looks pretty. It's really ugly on the inside. Don't be fooled. Every step of the way it's been a headache dealing with Greystar and the management team at AGR. They are SUPER prompt when they need something. But if you have a request....forget about it. The parking is insane. Cars broken into, my license plate was stolen! They also returned my security deposit AFTER the state law of 30 days. Your security deposit should be returned to you within 30 days. The law stated "RETURNED IN 30 days" Not lost in the mail. They also did not include the itemized statement of why they deducted things. It's the law!!! Major corporations that push the law against tenants like this is just ugly. You make a mistake-pay up. Example i transferred from one apartment to another-it took me a few days to remember to move my power. I'm still paying for power there, just at a different unit. But nope-they fee'ed me to death. But when above they forget to mail the dang check in time...crickets. It's disgusting and makes you hate where you live. I would move today if i could. SHODDY BUSINESS. I also feel like the rent charges at the end of the month are nickel and dimed. You receive a statement of all charges and there are about 85 small charges listed that take your monthly rent to an entirely different price than quoted. They are impossible to understand and every month i feel like i have no idea what I'm paying for or if I even paid enough!! This is the first time in my many many years that I've felt this way at an apartment. Don't fall for it!!! Greystar should be ashamed. And i will never move into another Greystar Alexan building again. There are so many properties in austin-do yourself a favor. For your own peace of mind. Don't do it. read more

It's time I left a review for AGR. We lived here through the winter storm and the height of Covid so life was a little strange. The amenities were limited at the beginning but by the time we moved out, everything was open with safety measures. They did a great job at managing the Covid situation. During the storm they kept us updated and even got us water and a warm bus until the electricity came back on. Honestly, they really take care of their tenants in many ways with live entertainment, except use classes or free or discounted food trucks. The 1 bedroom apartments have tons of cabinet space, spacious closets and modern appliances. It was a good layout despite some noise from upstairs. The worst part about AGR would be the garage and dog parks. I just don't understand why they would make such a narrow garage in a state that is known for having massive trucks. There are so many cars that have scraped up on the wall that we could start an Instagram for it. There were also some car break ins because the gate was left unlocked many times. Turns out the cars that were broken into were unlocked. They did have a ton of water shut offs but luckily it never affected my side of the building or it occurred while I was at work. The best part, besides the unit itself, was the staff. They are always on top of it. You can always count on someone helping you out with any questions or concerns in a very friendly and caring manner. I really do miss them. read more

Nothing but great experience with Alexan Garza Complex. Heidi, Daniel, Valeria and Ariel are doing more than behind to keep this place, not just an apartment complex, but a home. The complex has faced some issues, due to the crazy Freeze, heavy rain and other events that affectrd the entire city. Both Heidi and Daniel were dealing with these issues with such a great care and empathy. I already commented about the maintenance staff who are truly amazing! Carlos and Miguel - Always with a smile on their face, willing to help even when they are busy (And they are). They never complain!! Daniel makes us the residents feel super comfturable with every question, concern or complain we have during our time here. Any time of the day, he will find a solution for your problem and make sure that you wont feel left alone. Heidi, who is so busy, always find time for helping or advising with any upcoming question. A lot of residents don't appreciate enough the service that we are getting at Alexan Garza ranch (Most likely didn't experience many other apartment complexes) I lived in more than 5 complexes around Austin, And Alexan Garza Ranch has a special place in my heart. First off the staff is very nice and I have nothing against them. I've lived here just shy of a year and it's not a bad place to live in terms of the location, the people and the amenities However, I've had several major issues and I feel that I am overpaying. The hotel across the street has dumpsters that are right next to my house. For 4 weeks straight & 2-3x/week they came and woke me up in the middle of the night (2-4 am) with the LOUDEST, MOST STRESSFUL BANGING that lasts about 10 min. An absolute terrible experience that leaves my nervous system in a state of shock and am unable to get back to sleep. I'm legit worried about my health only getting 4 hours/ night solely due to this disturbance (my sleep had been great prior to all this--I track my sleep with an Oura ring) I've started to develop headaches and a constant eye twitch. Not Alexan Garza's fault directly but the fact that they don't have the situation in check and I had to spend hours calling the city, complaining to the hotel, the district representative of the police department, the Austin Tenant's council, and complaining to the staff just for someone to even begin to take action. Not my responsibility at all!! Ain't no body got time for that I make my income off PERFORMANCE. When I don't get sleep for a month, how am I expected to perform, & thus pay my rent?! Who's going to compensate me?! For my time, lost money, and HEADACHE. I literally can't believe I've been paying to live here this past month. Been an absolute JOKE in which no one is held accountable. I'm paying almost $3K to live here! This is supposed to be luxury and quiet away from the city! I'm not a fan of the trash butler service that you're forced to pay for but they don't pick up trash on Friday and Saturday. And the fact that you need to have your can outside for them to pick it up--that makes no sense since I still need to throw stuff away while it's waiting to be taken out.. plus, there is no dumpster on the first floor so if I want to throw away manually, I need to go upstairs... makes no sense. The dryer is the biggest pos. It is so LOUD, the dryer heats the laundry room at least 30 degrees higher and spits out dust EVERYWHERE! turns into a Dusty sauna The walls are thin but not the worst IM CURRENTLY TRAPPED IN THE PARKING GARAGE. The gate is broken and this it NOT THE FIRST TIME. I feel like I'm in a prison... I have places to be and I can't even leave my house with my own free will. Been impossible to get. A hold of 24 hour maintenance. I tried to leave my house at 5:45 and it's currently approaching 7 am.. This is beyond unacceptable. It is thanksgiving and so many people are going to miss their flights due to this. HOW IS THERE NOT A FAILSAFE?!?!?! Don't even think about trying to break your lease, it's an OUTRAGEOUS financial affair. I've had several issues with package delivery but that is the least of my worries... The hall ways smell like straight piss due to the enclosed Dog Runs that are alongside the halls. This place has so much potential unfortunately it was an opportunity not taken. In the last few weeks there have been car break ins. The entire office, gym, common areas and some first floor apartments flooded with the recent rain. This complex opened in October and this was the first heavy rain since we have moved in. The events held at the complex encourage you to bring a bottle to share, meaning little to no alcohol. The parking structure is very small and doesn't allow for two cars to pass each other without stopping. The dog parks in the interior of the complex smell more times than not. The walls and floor are very thin and they encourage you to walk lightly while In your own unit. There is very limited guest parking around the complex. DONT MOVE HERE. read more

Avoid unless you want to be harassed constantly by excessive noise from your neighbors and then ignored by the office. The apartment above me has a large dog that causes extremely loud noise that sounds like tackling drills from 10am-1am every day. Initially they basically told me there's was nothing that could be done even though it obviously wasn't my fault and offered to relocate me or let me out of my lease (and i'd have to pay to actually hire the movers myself which is already unacceptable given it was another person who was causing the issues) and then didn't respond to my message for weeks to set that in motion. When they did respond they said all they can do now is transfer me, and asked for proof of the options which they had presented on the phone, after which they've again gone dark for two weeks while I still have to deal with the noise during work meetings during the day and also late at night. They were able to find the time to email me the other week to send a renewal offer which would raise the rent, so that was great. They'll inevitably leave a comment that living with/around dogs isn't for everyone, but i've lived with 190lb great danes most of my life and had other neighbors with german shepherds and larger before in other places and never had this kind of excessive disturbance. I recently toured this apartment complex with the manager, Heidi and I can't wait to move here next year! The team was very friendly and instantly made me feel welcomed. Their amenities are solid and lots of close places to eat, a coffee shop within walking distance, and a walking trail across the street! To anyone seriously considering living here, PLEASE DON'T!!!!!! Please read some of the more recent reviews to get an accurate picture of what living here is like. I've lived here for a year and it's clear the reviews written by people currently living here vs reviews written by people who just moved in. Our water was turned off AT LEAST once a month regularly for the first 9 months I lived here. They gave about 1 day notice and provided NOTHING to residents to account for the inconvenience. Actually, that's not true. The first time they provided orange juice and croissants and then never again! They also regularly lied about how long the water would be off ("only a few hours" when it would be all day) and in almost every message they claimed it would be the last time. In a previous one star review, another resident mentioned the dog poop and pee everywhere and Sandra's (the manager) reply was that they clean the hallways regularly. That is just BLATANTLY false given that I had to email the front desk recently about a bloody tampon that was left in the hallway for nearly a week. Dog pee sits for days at a time, dog poop in the stairwells has been there for months. Sandra's solutions for residents' complaints are to make things more arduous for the residents AND solve literally nothing because they don't actually enforce or follow through with anything. Ex: Someone complained about the theft happening in the garage. Simple solution: video camera for the garage gate to catch license plates. Sandra's solution: make the garage gates open on one side instead of fully. How does that stop people from following a car in? How does that limit theft once someone gets in the garage? It doesn't, but it is really annoying for residents because the gate opener regularly glitches and doesn't let residents into the garage and we can't even get in by driving in the exit anymore! When I toured the apt complex, I mentioned the disgusting smell emanating from the dog run located in the center of the building and was told "hmm that's odd, it never smells like that, you must have caught us in between the regular cleaning..." EYE ROLL! They never clean the dog run, the smell is gag worthy. Do not rent an apartment near the dog run!! A few months after we moved in, I noticed a random $15 charge listed on our rent payment for two months in a row. When I asked the front desk staff about it they gave me 15 different answers and ultimately landed on the reason being my insurance info was incorrect. It wasn't and I proved it to Sandra in real time and was told the charge would be refunded as soon as "corporate" would approve it. Needless to say, I never got the refund. The delivery doors/guest entrances never work, the key fobs only work intermittently for some doors, the dog wash area is regularly locked for no reason and almost never cleaned, the grills are frequently broken, and the "rules" are enforced willy nilly (with the default being that they're not enforced at all). Sandra will reply to this review with a bunch of excuses and half truths. I don't benefit from writing this review at all, but I want to warn people of the reality of living here (like I wish someone had warned me). Sandra does benefit from lying in her response to me, so just keep that in mind. I'm not even writing this to bash Sandra, but just to call attention to the whole living situation here being incredibly disappointing and Sandra unfortunately does play a role in that as the manager. And there is a pattern of lies and lack of transparency that leave residents feeling really powerless. But it's not all negative though, the assistant manager (Tori) is really sweet, the maintenance crew is kind and usually fast, the pool area is well maintained, the few neighbors I've met have been really kind and amazing. read more

Let's start with the good: great finishes, beautiful property, and plenty of great amenities, responsive leasing team, and super friendly and attentive maintenance staff. The bad: over the past 15 months the water is shut off for 8 hours a day at least three times a week. It's off more than it's on. THE WATER. Like all the time. The parking garage is a disaster. It's dangerous, people speed around corners constantly and The cars with all similar damage speak for themselves. Only two EV CHARGERS when we were promised one on every floor months ago. The dog areas smell so strongly it could curl your eyelashes. The elevators are super slow and a lot of times are not operating. The units are tiny, walls are thin, and you can hear everything. It looks good from afar but it's far from good. For around the same price as a one bedroom unit at the Garza you could be in a house in a nearby neighborhood. The leasing staff in the beginning was great, I miss Ashley. I needed to use a bell hop- and instead of being politely treated with a hi! How are you!? I got barked at by a dramatic socialist to mask up- which I will not. Remember, it's not what you say- it's how you say it. I don't recommend this property at all. If an apartment is what best suits you, the lantana Pearl on southwest parkway is a much better choice. read more

I've been living here for almost a year now and now I can say that I'm waiting for my lease to end since it's been a pain to live here. People here are entitled and feel that they can do whatever they want. The lack of leadership on the management office is something that is hurting this community. Blocking people on social media, deleting posts on the app they use to give news about the community, limiting comments on their own posts shows how they treat the residents here. Everything starts from the top. I had an accident in this community, broke my arm and immediately my wife emailed the manager to ask for help to identify the person responsible. However the property manager at the moment, Esther, never reached out. Raised concerns about the cleanliness of the building since most of the residents pay over 1.3k to live in a luxury apartment that looks that no one cares about keeping clean, i asked if they had a cleaning schedule and Esther said and quote: "they are cleaned in a regular basis" I waited 4 weeks to get a spider and a scorpion removed from the hallway. That's how I knew no one cleaned. And now the good stuff, the staff really tries and is really helpful with the informative and resources they got. The day of my accident Heidi and Drue helped me out and Ashley was the one that supported me to contact the responsible. I believe she is the one that should be in charge since Esther is never around, doesn't care about her job or keeping her building clean and to a standard that can be described as luxurious. read more

Everything is really beautiful, the staff has been really friendly, and the community is nice. The gym is very clean as are the grounds. We haven't had any real problems. And any small ones have been addressed immediately by the staff. The only three things I'm not a big fan of are the lack of security cameras in the parking garages (pretty concerning), outdated thermostat, and how small/not sturdy the washer and dryer are (but that's not that bad haha). read more

Parking spaces is becoming an issue as well, you would be lucky if you find one at 9 pm at the garage... Good neighbors and staff but lack of management and communication... Nice property overall. It really is beautiful, with nice amenities. Heidi is a great assistant manager, Ashley was a great assistant manager, brief interactions with MaryHelen were pleasant. I can't speak much on the new manger as I didn't interact with her (which isn't a bad thing), and the maintenance team was always quick and reliable. The property cleaning lady left A LOT to be desired, you see her walking around daily, but nothing ever seemed to be getting cleaned and you would often see the same trash in the same spot for days on end. The walls are kind of thin and there were some pipe issues, but I believe those were fixed as my lease was ending so it may no longer be an issue. The parking garage is nice, but beware of inconsiderate neighbors who speed through, not much management can do about that though. You're right off mopac so it doesn't take long to get anywhere in town. There's a nice "park" right next door and lots of shopping in the surrounding area. Overall I enjoyed my 16 months at Alexan and feel the pros outweighed the cons, but I was ready to go when my lease was up. read more

I've lived at Alexan Garza Ranch now for 8.5 months during which time I've had many concerns however here are just a few of my main complaints with the community. Unfortunately it begins and ends in the office, Esther the property manager to be exact. I've expressed on a few occasions concerns with security once directly related to an employee (employee directed a random guest to another apartment when I didn't answer my door, saying he's probably here). Esther thought it appropriate to laugh at me on the phone only to proceed to hang up while I was talking. Others in the complex have also mentioned her unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for tact and decorum. Going further it seems she's never in the office, the staff gets little to no information in turn creating complications answering resident questions and concerns. (It's always "let me text Esther, I'll get back to you." Sometimes they actually do). Esther again on multiple occasions has been condescending and in my opinion rude. There are residents that have been BLOCKED on social media (Instagram) because of negative reviews on the complex in a way to control what the public sees. The other concerns I mentioned at the beginning of this review have all been cosmetic and since this is a new community I expect growing pains. At this time however, I can say that I will not be releasing in December and I will be encouraging through my media platforms that no one lease here due to extremely poor resident service, lack of communication and utter disrespect. On a positive note: Ashley, Tory, Heidi, Chris, Drue, and Fabio are all amazing and AGR is lucky to have them. read more

This place is great don't listen to people saying that it's not. They're mainly just people who don't have any common sense to lock their doors and for the ryse app you really don't have to use it like AT ALL but it is good for announcements about what's going on in the building. My leasing agent was Tory she's dope she was very professional and all that jazz she knew what she was doing and what she was talking about. I moved to this apartment because I wanted to be close to my parents, but I think I will just stay here forever. This complex is the best place I've ever lived. (And I've lived in a lot). My experience here started with an incredible leasing agent, Tory. During the tour Tory provided me with any and all information I needed. She was kind, respectful and extremely knowledgeable. Tory made the experience so welcoming and coMfortable, I felt as though I was already a part of this community. After living here (around 8 months), everything has changed- it has gotten even better than it was before. I absolutely love the staff here. I have a passion for decorating my apartment in ways not a lot of people do. On many occasions I have been supplied wall paint without question. Specifically, Tory has supported and encouraged to make this apartment my own. The neighbors here are great. The location is great. The apartment is great. Everything is just great and it would be a disservice to yourself if you didn't take the time to really check this place out. I promise you won't be disappointed. We have been through it all at this point, a winter storm that cuts the power and water was just the cherry on top. However it is the staff that have really come through for the residents here. There is a lot to address with some day to day issues, however through all the trivial inconveniences, it's time like this that really show the integrity of our leasing office and maintenance team. Let me start off by saying the office staff that were there when I was there are great (Tory & Heidi are the only ones still there), so this isn't based on them. From the exterior, this place is looks nice. Don't let that fool you. This complex was built SO POORLY. The water was shut off every few weeks, with little to no notice to the residents, for 8+ hours each time. The annual fire inspections happened monthly, again with little notice. There's hardly ANY security. The access gates were always broken & the garage gate was left open ALL the time. At one point, there was actually a homeless person squatting in a vacant apartment. The manager at the time (who was HORRIBLE), did not know how to communicate AT ALL. During "Sno-vid", we were left high & dry. Literally, the only time they said anything was by sending out a survey to see how many people stayed. THEY, not the city, shut off our water with (surprise) no notice. On DAY 5 of being without power, they had a warming bus come at 5pm. I know this was something most of us hadn't experienced before, but AGR/Greystar handled this horribly. Once I did move out, I never received my final bill. I had to call the office & corporate multiple times asking about my refund. It wasn't until I threatened to get an attorney (by law they have to return it in 30 days), that I finally got my money almost 60 days later. There are so many bandaids on this place, it's going to crumble very soon. Again, Tory & Heidi are great, but I will NEVER live in a Greystar property again. read more
