I needed to upgrade my main service panel at my house and a friend recommended Alex Lopez, and I'm so glad I reached out to him. He did a great job, very reliable and took him no time to do the work. I was very pleased with the whole project. Alex was also pretty inexpensive compared to the two other ones I called. I highly recommend Alex if you want it done right with amazing results. read more

Quality work every time! I've relied on Alex Lopez Electric for years, and keep returning for bigger and more complex jobs. I first brought him in for a very small job (ceiling fan), and he was great to work with. I am a technically curious customer, and he was great about answering all of my technical questions. Months ago I hired him to power my new outdoor patio/backyard lighting, outlets, and fountain. Alex and his team continued to impress me. Their work is great! Just this week, Alex and his team did new installations of more than a dozen can-lights and industrial lighting fixtures. I'm now planning on upgrading my home's electrical panel from Alex and his team. As always, they provided me a great quote, and I know that I can count on Alex Lopez Electric to deliver top-notch quality work. A previous yelp reviewer put it best "Alex is a good guy that you can depend on." read more

So I had a few things I needed to be installed / fixed around my house. I called a hand full of electricians after my last go-to kept pushing me back in his schedule because he was too busy. It was a lot of the same honestly. Everyone is slammed, so it was either a long wait, a crazy price, or both. I am thankful someone recommended Alex and his team to me. I tend to avoid companies with crazy high perfect reviews, because (in my experience) they tend to be more of what I already explained. I promise you Alex is NOT that. After calling Alex, he came out promptly to look at the job, gave me a quote the same day, and had a couple guys out to the house that weekend to knock it out. In all, I had a Ring spotlight, an attic light, a ceiling fan, and a couple sconces installed (all new wiring) as well as some troubleshooting (I attached a few pictures). I had three guys from his team helping me out (I only recall Jesus and Guillermo's names). They were all super professional, did real clean work, and did exactly what I asked of them. I have no problem telling you, because Alex made a point of telling me - Alex IS the cheapest quote you are probably going to find. This certainly was the case in my situation and absolutely did not take away from the quality of the work performed. Would recommend Alex and his team to anyone and certainly will be a return customer! Thanks again! read more

Five-star service by a licensed electrician, and at a fair price. For Prime Day, I finally scored a Haiku ceiling fan at a reasonable price. Ordered it on Monday, Amazon delivered it on Tuesday, and Alex Lopez Electric installed our beautiful new ceiling fan on Wednesday morning. Easy peazy. When I telephoned Alex, he replied within an hour, confirmed the installation price & confirmed an appointment the next morning. Two installers arrived on time, and used dropped cloths to cover their work area. After confirming the center mounting location with me, they proceeded to cut the mounting hole, wired the electrical, and then mounted the Haiku ceiling fan in a new support bracket. They even packed the trash. Everything was completed as expected, with no surprises. Many thanks, we love the new fan. Now we're ready for summer! read more

Contactex Alex Lopez Electric this morning. I needed help installing a ceiling fan. Alex was super courteous over the phone, gave me a very reasonable quote, and was able to schedule the installation for the same day. He texted me to informe me of the approximate arrival of one of his staff members. Giovani and his assistant arrived on time and did a great job removing and disposing of the old ceiling fan, and installing the new one. After the installation was completed, Alex Lopez Electric texted me to inquire about my level of satisfaction, a very nice gesture indeed. I will certainly call Alex Lopez to help with future projects. read more

I want to thank Alex and his team for the great job they did on my home. They installed led lighting, ceiling fans and new bathroom fans throughout the home, which is a recent purchase. The team arrived on time, was courteous, executed to plan. I observed the way they ran the job, I was impressed with the organization and teamwork displayed. The house is older, so they had to do some raw installation and small repairs along the way, but they handled everything, stayed on schedule. I will look to them for my future projects to come. read more

My wife and I bought our first home and needed to upgrade our electric panel and fix some of the house wiring. After hiring another electrician who quit on us mid job, we turned to Alex and his team. They were highly recommended and for good reason. Alex and his team were on time, made a quick and accurate assessments of what we needed, and worked quickly and professionally. He also gave us a fair estimate, stayed on budget, and most importantly performed quality work. They moved our electric panel, rewired part of the house, installed an extra outlet in a pony wall, brought the kitchen up to code, installed an emergency shut off breaker for the AC unit, repaired and stuccoed the wall, and grounded our panel along with a few other odds and ends. I highly recommend Alex and his team. He was fair, honest, professional, and performed high quality work. I will hire him again for additional projects. read more

Can't say enough good things about Alex and his crew. Communication with him was great--he was in constant contact with me throughout the project, which I appreciated as there were a ton of little decisions to make during a massive remodel. His guys were all friendly and answered all my questions, and they worked incredibly hard day in day out. I've used Alex in the past as well and they always do a fantastic job! He's the guy you want to call if you need work done -- you'll be in great hands! read more

Bottom line: work was good, get a full scope of work & quote in writing. This work happened about a year ago and i've been avoidant about writing a lukewarm review. My mistake for not being pushier early in the process to get a more thorough scope and quote. I needed a panel upgrade and new line run in order to install a tankless electric water heater. Alex got the work scheduled quickly, but midway through the job I found out the new line being run wasn't included in the quote he initially texted me so the price suddenly doubled. After a lot of back & forth I got an acknowledgment that the initial quote wasn't as clear as it should have been, the work got done, and I paid up the additional amount, but it would have been nice if the communication and price expectations hadn't been spanner in the works. Haven't had any bad fallout from the work so no complaints about the workmanship. read more

I lost power in a section of my house. I had an electrician from my home warranty take a look at the issue. After an hour and a half, he couldn't diagnose the problem and suggested he might need to tear open some drywall or climb through the attic. I decided to get a second opinion from Alex Lopez Electricity. Jesus was sent out and diagnosesthe problem within 10mins and on top of that, he fixes the problem. Crisis averted. I'm so thankful. read more

I was referred to Alex Lopez Electric, and was told him and his team are very reliable. I appreciated how willing Alex was to accommodate our timeline, he gave us some tips throughout the project of where we may want to take on more or take on less. We even decided to have Alex's team expand the project to upgrade some old electrical, since he was on site, and we trusted the work. Ultimately we were very happy with the results, we felt we were in good hands, and important to me: had open communication leading up to, and throughout the project. The absolute BEST prices in San Diego. We got 8 recess lighting fixtures installed in my home for kitchen and dining room, and alex electric was amazing. The technicians Guillermo & Oscar came out and did a phenomenal job and were very curious and cleaned up after they were done. I shopped around and got numerous quotes and I was getting some outrageous quotes to just replace the dimmer plates (we already had dimmers installed) and they included it in the job. Did not try to nickel and dime me and did an AMAZING JOB! Will def be calling them for all future electrical work. read more

I highly recommend alex and his team for all electrical work! Very reasonable and efficient. Great work We'd recently moved to San Diego from WA and purchased a house built in 1992. We'd gotten all our things delivered and we're hooking up the washer and dryer, to our surprise the plug for the dryer didn't fit into the outlet in the house. I'd called several electricians and alex responded in a timely manner and quoted me a very reasonable price. He sent out one of his guys who said he'd need to come back with alex to finish the job. They returned later that afternoon and fixed our outlet so we could now do our laundry. I also then asked him to do some more work as the house didn't have very many lights. He and his crew came out within a few days and installed 12 new led can lights in addition to replacing the existing can lights with LED ones. He was also able to put in a new outlet so we could mount and plug in our tv instead of needing an extension cord. I'm going to have him come back for more outlets in our master bathroom soon as well(who only puts one outlet in a bathroom?!). read more
