It wasn't pleasant & definitely not inviting. Would like to support local businesses but they need to make some changes & update their store atmosphere!

They fixed a bail and soldered the pendant back onto my own necklace. My bill was close to $140! See pics for visual of the bail. When they soldered my necklace back together, it did not come back as one solid piece. My necklace was purchased one month ago and he basically screwed it up. Now all I see is the solder drop. My story... I took to Facebook in search of a local jeweler to fix an heirloom necklace that I received after my husband's grandmother passed away. You can tell she cherished the piece because the bail was almost worn through from her wearing it so much. Basically, this is a prized possession. Acori had mixed reviews online. Some said they were great and others said they were overpriced. I can attest to both of those! The staff was very friendly and pleasant to work with. They took the time to answer all of my questions and even discussed a custom piece. They had the bail fixed by the next day but were unable to fix the chain. They said the chain was too worn and kept breaking. So upon pickup, I brought my own chain with me and had them put the pendant on it. I should note that I got this chain for Mother's Day from a different jeweler. All rings were solid pieces and I expected to get the necklace back in the same condition as it was when I brought it in. The lady at the front explained that the pendant would be permanently affixed to the chain, which I was happy with. When I got the necklace back the chain looked broken, so I sent it back. When she brought it back the second time it had a drop of solder on it. So now, it doesn't look broken but it's not smooth at all and does not look like good craftsmanship. They also cleaned my wedding ring while I waited. They stuck it in the ultrasonic cleaner and that was it. My last jeweler would have buffed and polished the gold but Acori did not. So now, I have a clean stone but the gold is dull. With the chain they couldn't fix, they told me I could sell it back to them. This is an 18" 14K chain -- they offered me $17 for it! #disgusted I'm well aware that the resell value on jewelry is very low but $17 on a necklace they could turn around and sell for $200 it's ridiculous, a slap in the face on my prized possession. I also discussed having a custom ring made with my children's birthstones in it. Come to find out this piece was not custom at all, they just found a ring from another jeweler and would have had the stones put in it. $645!!!!!!!! This is a very dainty ring so idk where they get off charging that much?? I then explained to her that I wanted to use the gold from the necklace they couldn't fix, have it melted down, and made into the ring. She told me they did not like to melt down gold and reuse it because they are unsure what it is mixed with. Basically this shop appears to be a diamond dealer and not a craftsman.

I found a setting I was absolutely in love with and she helped us pick a diamond in our price range. They answered all our questions and we felt very informed during the process. They also set and resized my ring very quickly and my fiancé was able to pick it up within a couple days. My ring is absolutely gorgeous. We got engaged four months ago but I still stare at it constantly. I've gotten a ton of compliments and random strangers comment that my diamond must be very high clarity... which it is! Would totally recommend Robbins Brothers.

You'll never find the jeweler to perform the "annual inspection and maintenance." I put a…read morethree-star for the manager and sales guy that sold us the jewelry and they're not there anymore, so... Greeted(?) by the bouncer who didn't know I had an appointment, not really an issue for someone like me but I figured they would know of appointments and if the jeweler was in. Which is what the front desk asked with an inquisitive bad attitude that was clearly pointed towards the bouncer. Anyway, you'll never get the jeweler. My wife has been able to get ahold of the jeweler a total of 3 times in the eight years we've been married. She should have been able to see him at least 8 times including today, right? Believe me, she puts in the effort and I'm done hearing about it. About my wife's wedding ring bumming her out, I'm tired of hearing about it. About an agreement that was contractually made and not being fulfilled, get it? Yall aren't running the store correctly if all you have is one jewelry technician. And it does seem as though they only have one guy there, said he was off attending training... he's off Sundays and Mondays, and don't make a reservation online, it's better to call. I mean, are you running a business or doing what the jewelry tech who's in training (and according to some other reviews he's not that good) says? This location is in the middle of Baybrook Mall area, it's not a cheap area. Having the bouncer at the door and not at a clipboard with additional responsibilities might be a myopic take. Are yall going to be the first store that drags down the value of the area? You gonna tank a jewelry business you've been blessed with and the surrounding area with it? Doesn't sound like people who should be responsible trading diamonds and large quantities of revenue. Sounds like you're not appreciating the blessing you have. Why would I shop there with a bunch of people who can't see the good things they have in their face? How are they going to take care of the things they promise me if they can't handle scheduling? Oh, wait! They didn't take care of my things they said they would! Silly me, this store is already like that! How could I miss that while typing it down! Haha, lol.... It's not great, they're so ready for thieves they forgot they sell services and jewelry.
