After finding our Lonely Planet chosen restaurant closed, we wandered the streets looking for…read moresomething better than kebabs and bar food. We found much more at New Bodega.
A Spanish style tapas restaurant, NB offered a variety of small plates. We shared pan con tomate and grilled artichoke hearts to start. The artichoke was phenomenal, with fresh garlic punctuating the juicy morsels. For our main dish, we split the Mariscada, a 25€ orgy of shellfish, garlic, lemon, and butter. Conversation stopped for 10 minutes as we could only moan our appreciation of the dish before us.
The atmosphere was lovely and warm, and the service was prompt. Our waitress spoke some English.
In all, we spent 49€ on 1 glass of wine, bread, artichokes, seafood, flan, and 2 coffees. I would definitely return.
