Always a wonderful experience at Alebrijes! They are our go to for pan dulce. I love that they have mini sizes and everything is always so delicious. I purchased food for the first time today, a Mexican breakfast burrito - ala Mexicana. It was sooo yummy! The tortilla tastes fresh and crispy. The food inside was delicious yet still didn't feel unhealthy or greasy. The size is decent. I had half and saving the other half for my husband to try later on. I absolutely love it here! Their red enchiladas remind me so much of the ones my grandma used to make, and that has been extremely hard to find. You can taste that homemade flavor! I've also tried their horchata iced coffee and it is so good, super flavorful and refreshing. My mom's favorite is their café de olla and she loves that it isn't overly sweet like other spots. Of course I can't go without getting pan dulce, and their bolillos. Everything is fresh, soft, and just really good quality, and the prices are honestly great for what you're getting. Pan dulce/ food is so bomb here I had to also get my sisters gender reveal cake at Alebrijes! I always get so nervous ordering a cake but it was easy! So glad they were still open after I had gotten off work during the week! They have different cake options and design options and I of course wanted a heart shaped cake! Alebrijes makes the best conchas I have ever had. I am also a huge fan of their hot food. I have to get the Quesabirria plate every time I stop in. The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful every time. I also love the color and ambiance of the place. I'm so glad this bakery opened near my house. I've been here multiple times now for their pan dulce and food. The inside is so inviting and makes you feel like you are walking into a home. The bakery that used to be here before was one of my fav places for a mollete so I was so sad that they closed BUT pan dulce here is the best I've had in a while. I'm not the biggest fan of conchas but this place is so good that I even love them here. They even have mollete's which ima definitely come back for because I hand no idea till today. I live near here so it's veryyy dangerous because they even have hot food and a tamal de pollo con mole that I WILL be back for. Horrible customer service. A short lady working there was extremely rude. When I asked for bread recommendations around 8 PM, she ignored me and walked back into the kitchen. No acknowledgment at all. The conchas were good, but the experience was ruined when that same employee refused to let me use the restroom, forcing my daughter to hold it until we got home. This was my go to spot for breakfast with my boyfriend until today. Rude customer service from owners mom and homeless inside asking you for food. I'm VEGETARIAN so would always get a croissant with egg whites never had an issue, the younger guys are really good cooks. The last visit "Mom of owner I believe her name is Michelle" she was the one cooking gave us the worst experience ever! My boyfriend got a tamal preparado as he seen it on a customer in a precious visit and looked amazing, prepared by the young guys. This time the mom prepared it and looked nothing like what we have seen. The cheese was served on top of the tamal in cold cubes didn't even bother on melting it, no avocado. My croissant was given without cheese, onion or mayo so I asked her to pls put cheese and she cut cold cheese and just threw it in there like I was a dog, gave me mayo in a little container and I told her I was not happy with my order because it looked extremely badly done. She suppose to put the mayo in the croissant and warm the cheese as is a warm croissant not cold. She got mad and gave me a worst attitude snatched the sandwich and said she will remake it but not anymore, said she was going to talk to workers about making special orders that they don't suppose to be doing. Well lady guess what!? In this world there's people with certain food restrictions like allergies, vegetarians, etc and If they can't understand that in the food industry and take a complain they should be in business. Shouldn't take it personal that's very unprofessional. To my surprise I went today hoping the young guys where there to ask for my croissant and lady in register told me "We can't do the order anymore" so I complain about the experience I had with the owners mom and she said I'm sorry let me ask if they can do it I said no is okay I don't want anymore problems, she still asked and the same lady in the back kitchen told her NO! Not to mention that every time we go there's homeless inside or outside asking to buy them food and they don't bother on taking them out.
