Another great shoe store but with unmotivated staff.
I love buying Aldo shoes. Just not a big fan of buying them AT the Aldo store. Last night was a shoe safari, and I took two of my best, smartest girl friend hunters with me through the amazon of the Halifax Shopping Centre. The hunt was going well but almost every store we went into seemed to have bad customer service. That is until we went into a shoe store named "Spring." But this review is, unfortunately, not about that store and is about one store that has great shoes but not-so-great customer service.
First, lets talk about the shoes. We did have success at this store and all three of us found shoes we liked! So the hunt was a success at the end of the day. I found a pair of very unique, stylish, shoes for only thirty dollars while one of my girl friends found some knee-high boots that were perfect for the in-between Fall and Winter weather. These were around a hundred and fifty dollars but worth it. Our third friend bought ankle high boots for going downtown "clubbing." So we all had success.
We did ask the Customer Service person a question as she walked by and she did answer it. But there was no smile and at no point did she come back and ask us how our shoes fit or if we needed anything else. If the store was incredibly busy, I could excuse someone not coming back to us at least right away. However, it was not even close to moderately busy but the staff there seemed to just be in a plain old negative mood.
So three stars for good shoes, good enough pricing and the fact that we actually found the shoes we all wanted. But customer service has to change before my review will. I hope it does because I'm dying to love this store. But for now, it will remain no more than an appreciation. read more
