Finally found the perfect stylist : Linda I needed a whole different look to my hair. I've been salon hopping for almost two years now and I can finally say that I have settled down. Majority of the time when I get my hair done I usually get color and cut. And the color I choose tend to be more vibrant than others would go for. I showed Linda the hair style I wanted from a picture and described the color and style I would like and she made it happen. EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED (which is pretty rare)! She transformed my bleached out grown blonde hair back to brown with purple underneath the bottom inner half of my hair. It turned out great and also the purple is even on my hair (unlike other times I have gotten my hair dyed). Linda is very nice and Very sweet and I can safely say and I have finally settled down. I used to go to Fantastic Sam's and I had it when I came out with a mullet like hair cut. These girls at Beauty Heaven were just amazing and talented. For once, it was nice to be asked what I wanted exactly and get what I ask for. If I ask for just an inch off the bottom I get an inch off the bottom. The place is small but I like it. Kelsey is amazing!! I recently had great lengths 18" extensions installed and they look amaaaazing! Prior to having the hair put in Kelsey colored my hair and magically matched the color to my extensions that it looks completely natural and I get compliments all the time. I've had the extensions in about a couple months now and they still look great which is saying a lot from me because I've had the micro beads installed before by a different salon and only lasted a month since they itched so bad. The installation only took a few hours because Kelsey gets it done pretty fast and even stylists that weren't working on my hair were very accommodating! Before I went to the salon, I e-mailed the stylist photos of the blonde highlights put in my hair in my hometown of San Francisco by Hugh McGuire (seriously the best at blondes ever!). My hair had since grown out leaving me with about four inches of my natural, dark ash blonde color. I also e-mailed links to celebrity photos of what I model my color after and what Hugh had always achieved for me. I was e-mailed back that she could definitely, no problem help me get what I want. I had asked if she had any before and after photos and she said sadly, she did not. Nevertheless, I went in a week later for the appointment. Again bringing photos, we discussed my color. She said she'd try four different blondes: baby blonde, ash blonde, dark blonde and honey blonde for dimension. After a painstakingly long time of wrapping my entire head in foils (which her assistant helped out with) I was put in a corner to let it sit. I sat for more than 45 minutes, at which point she decided I needed to cook for half an hour. Out of that process I came. The assistant was eerily quiet as she peeled the foils from my head and washed my hair. When I came up and saw myself in the mirror, I nearly cried. I had a monochromatic, completely brassy yellow! I kept quiet because I knew they still needed to tone me, which they did, but it didn't make it much better. It was an obviously bleached, super shiny yellow. NOT at all what I was looking for. My hair is naturally light, so I wondered how she could have messed up so easily with the brassiness. I e-mailed her the next day saying how unhappy I was. I wore a hat for three days until she could fit me in. Another three hour appointment fixed it only a little bit. Since it was yellow root to tip, I had her paint my roots a beigey dark blonde, which helped the whole look appear a little more natural. But the rest of it was still mostly yellow. I didn't accept her offer to bleach it further to try to get rid of the yellow. That would have just made it that OC housewives blonde I definitely didn't want. This was all after four months of avoiding getting my hair done since I'd moved from S.F. to OC. I had searched Yelp and Citysearch high and low for someone specializing in blondes. I'm definitely never going back there again. It was 7 hours of sitting in a chair having my hair over-processed while the stylist talked about being saved by Christ and how she prays for her friends who aren't. Creepy! All for just under $300. Recently I look for someone can do for my eyelash extension and do not feel want to pay so much for first try and you don't know is good a not so I give Tiffany a try and she doing a promotion and very good price ! So I went this place is hair salon and she doing eyelash extension do at a make up area so is fine for me ,she very friendly and she ask me how the eyelash I want to be so I told her I like thick,and she say ok and she use a good product I love the way she do so gentle and patient ,she need about 1hour 45 min do for me she is fast the important is finally come out is good ,after a day I want see is it really last and is good and I get a lot a complement so many my friends!!! like it I was so happy ,so safe your time and money just goes to her .you will happy :) read more

I bought a Groupon to get a gel manicure and haircut at this salon. I love the fact that you can make appointments online, it was quick and easy and I felt confident in trying this place out. The location is in a nice little shopping center with lots of different shops and places to eat. My appointment was with Linda at 10am, but when I arrived there a few minutes before 10 the place was completely dark and empty. I was about to leave after waiting in my car for half an hour when she finally arrived and opened up shop. Linda was nice but since she was the only one in the shop she constantly had to stop and answer the phones in the middle of my haircut. I asked Linda to just trim off my split ends and a few long layers in the front. When she was done i couldn't tell at the time since my hair was wet but when I got home my hair consisted mostly of split ends still. She did a really good job on my nails although I was nervous the entire time because I realized there is a parking garage underneath the building so every now and then when a car drives by the whole place shakes and it feels like a very small earthquake. After she was done with my nails she seemed to want me to leave so I handed her a tip and she didn't reply or anything so I said thank you and walked out. I've looked at there regular prices and other services and for the price I highly doubt I will ever come back and if I do it would be for a gel manicure only. read more

My hair fairy slash stylist is Christina she is truly angelic so its fitting she works there! Beauty Heaven is clean and tidy. As soon as you walk in, the receptionist greets you warmly offering you a beverage they have a wide variety of wine, beer, espresso, lattes, chai tea, tea and coffee and lots of current magazines to read. They always have great music playing and the staff is friendly, respectful and smart. They truly meet the standards of professionalism and all are nice to talk to. It's an overall good vibe. Christina ALWAYS conducts a thorough consultation. She takes the time to ask my likes & dislikes with my current hairstyle. As I took a look at the quality of other people's hair and hairstyles around me it was plain to see HAPPY customers all around! After Christina does my hair each time I just hope I have the ability to keep up with the style tips she gives me (a new one each time according to what's "in" now.) I started coming to AKA Salon after my favorite stylist (Aldo Pimentel) became a co-owner and moved there from an Aveda salon. I first found Aldo on Yelp, where he was SO highly reviewed for his cut and color expertise. I took the first available appointment that I could, and sure enough, he was most definitely a hair whisperer! He started evaluating my former cut and he was able to (politely) bring up the shotty layering job that was done previously. Not only that, but he was able to interpret my jumbled, confusing explanation of the look I was trying to correct it to, and restate everything in a way that was spot on with what I wanted. He corrected the bad layers and when he was done, I looked in the mirror and let out a huge *sigh*...it was amazing!!!! Since then, I have gone to him for more haircuts and two coloring jobs. Two weeks before my wedding, I decided I wanted to try ombre and he came up with a miracle way to color it so that my hair could be styled the day of and not show off the hair trend that would eventually come to look very dated in my photos. Most recently, I decided to go from brunette to blond. I'm half Asian and most often, hair stylists tuck their tails and say they'll "try", but then I always walk out with a slightly lighter brown shade that I feel like I just wasted a ton of money to get. Not with Aldo!! He took me to a glorious ashy ombre blond that has literally had heads turning. And he worked to the bones to get it exactly perfect. Also has been the first ever stylist that has looked at his work, told me he can make it better, and will get it to exactly perfect. With other hair stylists, it was usually the case that I'd hate what I'd see in the mirror, thank and tip them anyway, and then go home crying and start trying to find a stylist to correct it the next day. That is how I found Aldo, afterall! But with him, I know that will NEVER be the case...he knows what I'm thinking before I even have to say it and he jumps to get it exactly right. I would follow Aldo to any salon! So definitely come see him at Beauty Heaven! This review is for a new stylist at Beauty Heaven that was recommended by a friend to me, her name is Kami and she is a great stylist. I'm very picky about my hair since I have it relaxed as well as cut and styled and move around to different stylists quite a bit but I will be staying with Kami from now on. She listened to what I wanted and did exactly that without adding things that I didn't want, which most stylists seem to want to do. She offered a couple of suggestions and actually gave me a reason why she was suggesting it instead of the typical "It would look good" response. I loved my hair and the service that I received from her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a quality stylist that really listens to you and gives you a great cut and style.
