They give a massive portion easily two people can eat it. The Philly Mac and cheese was probably the best Mac and cheese I ever tasted in my life. The steak was seasoned to perfection, and had so much cheese, I felt like I was in heaven, the steak was so tender, the wings with the hot honey one of the best wings I have ever tasted in my life price wise I think it is very reasonable, but the area is so sketch that's the only negative I will say.

Fantastic bbq. Best in the city!…read more Wife surprised me with this for my pre-birthday. Didn't know it was Michelin recommended and I understand why. This place tastes amazing. Angus beef brisket was perfect Texas bbq. Juicy, great flavour, perfect flop Short rib is the best beef rib in the city. Juicy, unctuous, meaty. Amazing. Honey garlic wings had excellent smoke. Fantastic. Mac and cheese was delicious and cheesy. Best I've had in toronto. Maple smoked beans were ok. I wouldn't order again though. Poutine has a great gravy that had a nice depth of flavour. One of my favourite poutines. Tri tip had chimichurri on it which was a nice touch. Tougher of meat is not my preference but still had great flavour and smoke. Beef ribs were decent. But short rib better. Of note is that all the beef items are seasoned differently so you can order it all and have different flavours. One thing to know is the place is a bit of a dive. It's not pretty, but boy is it delicious. It does come off a little less clean than it could be. Cashier guy was friendly, but a bit slow. Not a big deal though.

Their meats are smoked over seasoned wood logs, and the menu has everything from Angus brisket and beef ribs to short ribs, chicken, wings, sandwiches, and some loaded platters. It's a casual spot where the focus is clearly on smoked meat and big, filling portions. We ordered "Angus Beef Brisket 1 lbs" and "Sample Platter 1" for 6 people and we had leftovers. Angus Beef Brisket is a must-try here and their pink chicken is very famous and delicious. The smoky flavour and tenderness of the meat makes this place very popular amongst smoked meat-lovers. The staff are friendly and helpful. You need to allow around 30 minutes or so for each order to be prepared.

Staff was friendly and waiting time for take out was no more than 10 minutes. - Jerk chicken (4.5/5): Great flavour and spice, coleslaw was good but the ratio was more rice than meat. The jerk chicken was incredible! Nice crisp to the skin and was moist in the middle, touched with sauce to perfection. - Oxtail (4.5/5): I would've love to have more of the meat and coleslaw but I must say the flavour was insane. The meat fell right off the bone!

They're very…read morenice in person and on the phone, props for keeping their regular service hours though this time. They offer a $5.99 Small option for those looking for a smaller meal (yet not really small) that's priced right. There was no Roti option. Chicken was cooked very well, rub & marinade were OK but just moderate wow factor. I didn't get as much sauce as some of the other Yelper's pics but It wasn't dry by any means. Most of the chicken pieces were on the bone, which adds flavour IMO - but it also means 25% of that meat portion was bones, so what initially looks like a steal for $5.99 turned out to be merely fair. Not offered to customize heat level ( it was lower side of medium) I liked how the Coleslaw was neither too sweet nor too heavy on mayo. Rice & Peas was standard & unremarkable but did taste extremely fresh despite being an hour to closing time. I'd like to round them up to a 4 but that would be saying it's as good as Allwyn's & Layla's and I couldn't go that far. ( in Willowdale, they'd a 4 easily..) I still consider Rose's a solid choice. And for some customers - those who need better TTC access than Allwyn's, those who need their Island fix to be halal, or find the $5.99 deal to be an ideal price & size, it could well be a top choice in the area.

The manta were dumplings with flavourful lamb and onion filling. The dapanji was chicken and potatoes in a stew with chewy hand pulled noodles. I really enjoyed the texture of the noodles! The polo was a buttery lamb and carrot rice that came with sides of yogurt and chopped vegetables. The nan kawap was very flavourful cumin stir fried beef with onions and naan. I'd never had bread added to stir fry before and it went great! Everything came out quickly and the servers were friendly. It's a smaller restaurant so may be a good idea to call ahead on weekend evenings.

I was a bit unsure at first since Uyghur cuisine isn't something you see every day around here, but everything was incredibly well balanced and approachable. The aroma, texture, and quality of the noodles were just outstanding. We shared the Lamb Kawap (lamb skewer with Uyghur seasoning), Kidney Kawap, and Uyghur Chicken. The skewers were absolutely mesmerizing. None of that strong lamb smell you'd find at many other places, just a clean, fragrant flavor with a softer finish. Perfectly grilled too. It was my first time trying kidney skewers, and the texture really surprised me--chewy, meaty, but not heavy at all, and with no trace of that distinct lamb scent. The Uyghur Chicken was another highlight. Well-seasoned, rich in flavor but not overly spicy, and the chicken was tender through and through. Having it with their hand-pulled noodles made the whole experience even better. The sauce was so good I kept dipping the bread into it nonstop. Honestly, this place hits all the right notes. Great flavors, comforting atmosphere, and real craftsmanship in every dish. Definitely coming back soon.
