They sure do feed you well too. The dishes they serve are hardy southern food and very filling. They will also bring out more items to feed you as you dine as well and you won't leave hungry. I thought the side dishes stole the show for me especially the rolls, fried okra and black eyed peas were some of the best I've ever had. Now I'll want to go back whenever I'm passing through that part of southeast Missouri. It's a really cool looking restaurant inside and out with lots of memorabilia on the walls especially all the license plate plates. I had the chicken fried steak that came with mashed potatoes right on top and white gravy and it was savory and very good. For the two sides with my main dish I ordered green beans and white beans. It was a heavy meal, but I managed to put away almost all of it along with scoops of extra okra, fried potatoes, tomatoes and pasta in a side dish, and black eyed peas. I could only manage to eat two of the famous big rolls and had one with a helping of sorghum syrup they put on it which I rarely ever see anymore. I grew up on this very kind of food with my southern parents cooking so this place really hit the spot and I felt nostalgic to me.
