This place needs someone to do better.This is the only aldis for miles, I like aldis ..but when I come to this one,a mess. The lines with one cashier who doesn't look up to see a huge line,everytime I go. The bathroom dirty and smells. Molding produce or old. The floors ,dirty. Get a mop and a clue.I never see anyone working the floor .WE don't have a lot of options,just Myers and kroger,then walmart...but this store needs attention. read more

It's a great option compared with walmart. It may be different in other areas, but the walmart in my area (Kentucky) has significantly higher inflated prices, while ALDI is more reasonable. I also really am a fan of the reusable bag policy at these stores. Companies like walmart don't care about polluting the environment. I mean think about it; how many plastic bags do you use each month? How many will you use in your lifetime? Where do you think they will go? They have a decent selection of chocolate, but I do think they could benefit from importing more German brands that you would see at an ALDI in Germany. read more

I love Aldi ! Great prices and a good selection of produce and meats. I go there about once every other week

It's a nice store, i like it. Their hamburger is 100 better than Walmart's. I noticed it's a lot softer and fresher, puts Walmart's to shame. You have to use a quarter to get a buggy, and you get it back if you return it to the cart corral. You have to pay for bags if you want them. They have reusable ones for a little less than a dollar, and some other crappier ones cheaper that are under the check out lines. If you plan to go here a lot definitely buy a reusable bag or bring your own. Some items are a complete hit or miss, not much of a grey area. Hamburger = great Most meats = great Pasta stuff = great Easter chocolates = nasty Ever since this particular location opened up Richmond Walmart lowered their prices on milk to .98 cents a gallon too. I don't think it's a great store to do ALL of your shopping at. It's kind of limited in some aspects. Reminds me of a slightly more higher end Save a Lot item wise. read more

The produce is outstanding, the prices are good, and you can find a lot of organic/natural items in this store. You need to take bags, find a box or buy bags or you'll leave the store with all of your items loose in the buggy. You need a quarter to deposit in order to get a shopping cart (you'll get it back when the buggy is returned). I would have rated this store much higher, but the last time I went there the cashier was one of the rudest people I've ever encountered in a store. She literally THREW every item in the buggy after scanning it. I even stated, "PLEASE don't throw those in the buggy!!" when she picked up the eggs! It was a horrible experience and made me really mad! I don't have the money or the patience to get home with bruised bananas and smashed bread! read more

I have been there a couple of times and each time I say "NOT AGAIN will I be back" but the american cheese is less than 3 a pound and we go thru 3lbs a week and all others stores sell it for more then 4.99 a pound on sale. The 1st time, I went right after it was built. A brand new store, with curiosity in the air. What was inside?, what would they sell?, what would the prices be?, I thought may be it will have items that no other store has. As i walked to the doors I could see rows of carts chained together on the right side. As i walked in the produce was clean and fresh looking, nothing rare but it seemed to have all the usual items every other store has and the prices were comparable. I continued to try and shop I noticed every one had a cart but There were none that could be used except the ones locked up. I couldnt find any one that worked there except the cashiers to ask for one. She said the carts take 1/4s, 1/4s? I said, she said "yes". I had NO idea what she was talking about so I had to look at the carts for my self. I found out that you had to make sure you had a quarter(COIN) on you so you can get a cart to use to spend your money. Not only that, I also found out that the cashier just throws your food in another cart and after you pay she pushes the cart with the food in it to the side. I asked for some bags so i could bag my food and was told i would have to wait in the line I just waited in with my rented cart and I would have to pay for plastic bags. OMG i said and asked why didnt they post signs or tell people that this is a ZERO service store where you have to rent carts, supply your own $0.00001 bags, bag your own food after the cashier THROWS it in the rented cart. She just turned around and ignored me. I went to my car and put cart and all in it. After all I did pay for it, right? I mean there were no signs or information. 2nd time I brought my own box and set in it the cart for the cashier to set my items in but she took the box out, put the item in the cart and the box on top of the item. YES that did happen. When I asked why she said she would get fired if she would have bagged/boxed them since this is a self bag store. No its a SELF everything store. 3rd and last time I went in only for cheese, 5-1lbs packages. I asked the cashier to hand me them after he rang them up, He said yes and after he saw that i put the item in my bag that was in my other hand he reach around my hand and put the rest of the items in the cart so I could not bag them right there. I asked him "why do cashiers go out of their way to make it difficult for customers to bag a few items here" He just looked at me with a apologetic, sorry, regretful look. I said "it's not you is it?" and he smiled. So that tells me he is only doing his job the way he was told to and the management needs to be held responsible. Aldi is not fancy. It's not loaded with specialty items and a ton of choices as far as brand selection. There is no one to bag your groceries or help you to the car. Aldi is, however, substantially cheaper than Kroger or Meijer. It's also a step up from Save-A-Lot with some organic produce and several gluten free items. Things I was glad to find there: hummus, uncured bacon and sandwich meat, organic spring salad mix, cucumbers,and other fresh veggies, fair trade coffee. The prices for the organic were not much cheaper but most everything else is. It's a new store so it's nice and well laid out. You do have to bag your own groceries and buy bags (or bring your own) but I don't mind that. If you are on a tight budget and don't need lots of specialty items Aldi is a good option. read more

Love Aldis. I can get a buggy full for less than 100 bucks. Their deals are great, kids love the cereal, and everything has simple ingredients. It makes avoiding certain preservatives a breeze. Checkout is ridiculously fast as well. Love them to pieces. read more
