This is my favorite "local" aldi. It is always clean, the employees seem very friendly. The prices are good.

Such a great spot for a fall date or a family outing! After visiting Kuiper's and being incredibly…read moredisappointed by the expensive admission, tiny pumpkins, lack of things to do for adults, and several other things, I gave Jonamac Orchard a shot this year and loved it! The admission here is only $7 per person and includes access to everything but a few activities which require "apple tokens" (only a few dollars). There's tons to do for both kids and adults - apple picking, a pumpkin patch, cute pumpkin displays for photo ops, food/snack booths, jumping pads and train rides for kids, a petting zoo, apple cannons, wagon rides, corn maze, a general store and a cider house! My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday afternoon to get some pumpkins and visit the cider house. The line to get into the cider house was super long so we ending up doing other things (and unfortunately didn't make it back over there before closing). We walked around aimlessly for a while looking for the pumpkin patch until we finally asked an employee who pointed us in the right direction. We got on the wagon ride which took us around the apple orchard and over to the pumpkin patch (compared to Kuipers "hay ride" which merely went in a small circle around an area of grass). The pumpkin patch was huge and had tons of different pumpkins - some pretty big ones too. The pricing was 1 pumpkin for $10 or 3 for $20. We saw people with carts hauling their pumpkins but we couldn't figure out where they got the carts from. We ended up with 1 big pumpkin and 2 small ones since that was all we could carry back and then found out the carts were all the way at the entrance to the entire Orchard. You had to get one there and walk it down to the pumpkin patch, which we weren't made aware of when we came in. I wish there would have been maps or more signage that pointed to where things were at. While I was disappointed we didn't get to do everything we wanted (which was mainly our faults since we didn't go earlier in the day), I surprisingly still had a great time here and will definitely be back since the admission is cheap! I think the experience here is a lot more well rounded for different age groups and much more affordable.

Jerry's Fruit & Garden has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop. They have an…read moreincredible selection of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables you probably won't find at a typical grocery store. Everything I've bought has been fresh, and the prices are honestly some of the best I've seen in a long time. Some of the deals I found were amazing: strawberries for just $0.98 a pack, a large pack of raspberries for $3.98, chicken breasts for $1.98 per pound, and ribeye steaks for $9.99 per pound. With grocery prices being so high these days, stores like this are such a huge help. The only downside is that weekends are extremely busy, so I'd recommend going first thing in the morning if you can. Even with the crowds, it's absolutely worth the trip. Great quality, unbeatable prices, and a fantastic place to stretch your grocery budget!

The wife says we came here once before many years ago but I don't remember it.  They've been at it here for 53 years since 1972. Normally, we avoid it due to the madhouse scene that is usually here (like when traffic can't even enter the parking lot from busy Milwaukee Ave because the parking lot is overflowing lol).  Well, it was -3F on a frigid Friday night and we were across Milwaukee Ave at the Jewel, and it was eerily quiet in Jewel, and we thought it was as good a time as any to also visit Jerry's lol. Well, it was relatively calm, and we found a close by parking spot, but there were still plenty of shoppers in Jerry's.  Their inventory is huge and truly impressive as are their prices.  No wonder this place is so super popular.  We picked up some cherries for $2.49 per lb and strawberries at a promo price of $0.79 per 1 lb container.  I would say 4.5 stars for our visit tonight, but really on their normal super-crowded shopping basis, I would still say 3 stars overall.  I don't personally think the hassle factor of shopping here for fruits and vegetables is worth it for the savings and the variety of offerings, thus the 2 star deduct.  But you have to decide for yourself, and apparently for many others, Jerry's is well worth the trip, and kudos to Jerry's for that and continued good luck and success to them.
