Their fresh cheese curds are divine and will give you the best "squeaky cheese" experience ever. Whenever I travel home and have at least 20 minutes to spare, I check out their cheese cases and have a scoop of the Cedar Crest ice cream for $0.25/scoop. This is a must-stop if you are traveling north for the weekend or at least on the way home to have some delicious cheese options when you return from your travels.

Can't get any fresher than that! Loved the donuts too! Heavy and moist and are either sugared or iced. Made fresh and ready to go with the free coffee. A friend told me about this place, and I'm so glad because I'm not sure if I would have ever found it. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere. But if you build it and make good bakery... I will come!

They get around laws banning the sale of raw milk by charging a small membership fee. You can also order bulk organic rice, beans and lentils if you order in advance. It's a bit of a drive from Manitowoc; but this great place is well worth the effort. Unfortunately they lost the chance to actually buy the acreage; and they are moving the farm to East Troy in December. This move will put them too far away for us to travel.
