The indigenous man at the deli counter was perfect. Kind, knew his stuff, no fuss, no muss. Much appreciated. The lady at the check-out, not so much. While she was ringing my items, an offer to sign up for their loyalty card popped up on the screen. I prefer not to do those, but I have been going to this store more often so thought I might as well. Did the QR thing, and had to fill out info, so she asked me to move to the side so next person could be served. Happy to. Followed the required steps, including clicking on the coupon. Then had no idea where it went. She had to help me. It was rather frustrating. Then, she apologizes to the person behind me for being patient. Excuse me? I like shopping at fresh thyme in Green Bay, but wow, the cashier we had yesterday when checking out, left a lot to be desired! No, smiling, no, talking at all, very bad customer service! I can't remember now what her name was, possibly Joyce, but she did have a button on that, said employee of the month! my thought is if she was employee of the month I'd hate to see the employees that don't qualify!! Here's a formerly great market that seems to be on a downhill slide in many ways. Since my last trip in, checkout has converted to 75% self-checkout. But the system requires a manager override to remove an item and process a coupon. Two of the greatest attractions for me -- an amazing salad bar and olive bar -- both died of Covid. Did the space allotted to personal care products shrink when they were moved? My go-to brands and items have all disappeared. That's disappointing. Several other brands and items I used to seek out this store to purchase have also disappeared. It has the feel of a company bought out by private equity and being bled dry. The specialty produce is mostly gone, the quality of what remains is a step down from what it used to be, yet the pricing still indicates top of the line! For me, nearly everything that made this store worth a special trip is gone now. And so am I. There are too many other grocery options doing it better than Fresh Thyme. So sad. read more

What a lovely addition to Green Bay. Things I love: I love that they have Boar's Head meat at the counter, the salad bar looked really good, I liked all the meat selections, the layout of the store was easy to move around, Nice organic options and healthy options, the prices of produce were low if you bought the sales, quality of produce was good, They have certain products that I used to have to go to a bunch of different stores to get all in one place (Halo Top- ice cream and Ripple), pastries are yummy and they have savory ones which I LOVED. Things that make me sad: Location it is a bit out of the way for me, prices can be a bit expensive for some items (bread), Bulk items are in the front by the registers which cases some congestion while checking out. This is a great natural foods market. You can get fresh organic produce and free range meats. I like the large selection offered in bulk. There are grains, nuts, dried fruit, trail mix, cereal and more. They have a nut grinder that makes peanut butter, almond butter, or cashew butter. I didn't check it out too extensively, but there is a large section devoted to natural health and beauty. The prices are very reasonable. This store is now on my list of stops whenever I'm in town. read more

This store in Green Bay reminds me a lot of a favorite store in Arizona called Sprouts. Fresh Thyme is a natural food 'farmers market'. There are natural health and beauty products, supplements. They offer a huge selection of fruits and veggies, and other organic canned goods, boxed goods and protein bars/ powders. Our main reason for stopping in was to price out some vegan protein powders. This is suppose to be organic and yes, there are organic items. However, read your labels because there are gmo products mixed in. The produce is just average. By no means is this place even similar to Whole Foods. Twice I've bought blueberries that look fine but taste like mold. I don't believe that's is what is meant by organic. Best produce market in the Fox Cities. They can be a little hippie-dippie for some, and I get that, but overall I think they're the best for what they're promoting - a farmers market type grocery. I love their juicery and their antipasti section. Woodmans doesn't have either of those and they're everywhere around Wisconsin. I was pretty excited to check this place out as Green Bay hasn't had a whole foods grocery store before. It's not a huge store, but was impressed with all the different selections. You walk in and there's an area where you can get sushi and pizza made to order. Then there's a deli followed by a juicery where the press their own juices without adding sugars or additives. Got to try a sample...not bad! There's a big area of vitamins, minerals, and other natural medicines. Fresh Thyme is a great option for natural and organic foods. Yes you can get some of this at other grocery stores, but Fresh Thyme has a bigger selection to choose from. I ended up buying some fruit and vegetables. The cantaloupe and honeydew was some of the best I ever had...so juicy! For me personally, I wouldn't go here on a regular basis only because I'm comfortable at the grocery story I go to now, and I'm not super interested in buying organic foods. I do think I would come here for specific food items. I'm glad that Green Bay has a healthy option like Fresh Thyme and I think people are going to catch on. read more

Really disappointed, I was expecting this great organic market with lots of local products because that is what they advertised. Read the labels very carefully to find what is organic. Their meat is not pasture raised, organic or grass fed in the meat case, while they do carry prepackaged grass fed beef, it is shipped from Kansas as is the rest of their fresh meat. I also didn't appreciate the cocky attitude of the guy at the meat counter that didn't know anything about grass fed organic beef and was telling me Things that were total bull crap, sorry bro, animals Do not have to be given antibiotics to be healthy or produce safe meat . They also do not have any free range organic eggs, all are a vegetarian diet, meaning corn and soy, same thing for their organic chicken. They do have a great produce department with organic options but overall their prices are high and you can find organic sections that are just as good at Woodman's or Festival at much better prices. Also, there was nothing local in that store, I think If you are vegan or vegetarian you might love it as there are a lot of options but I won't go back. read more

I used to live out toward the west and Trader Joe's and Whole Foods were popular, so it's nice to have something like that in Green Bay. The have a large meat counter and deli area. We opted to try some of their deli meat and were pleasantly surprised by the quality. While my husband was chasing after the toddler, they spotted a healthy food station for hungry kiddos in the produce area. Toddler was happy to eat a banana while we shopped! Appreciate that! Prices seem comparable to other natural whole food organic type food stores. Must see's: Freshly ground peanut butter, honey and oil fill up, bulk spices, bulk items, large health area. Suggestion: Buying bulk is really great for reducing waste but I don't see any reusable package options. There are just plastic bags. I would love to see muslin bags or reusable jars that people can purchase to use. I did ask staff if I could bring my own and after asking a few people, someone did say I could. It may be helpful to post that info so people don't have to opt for plastic bags. read more

Fresh Thyme has great prices on the sale items and many of the regularly priced items are reasonable. The produce is fresh and I've been satisfied with the fruits and vegetables I've bought. They have a variety of artisanal type breads which are crusty and delicious. They have serve yourself containers of nuts, grains, dried fruits, chocolate covered things, etc. I like being able to get the exact quantity that I want. read more

Large natural supplement and beauty section, a bit overpriced produce, organic 'green' kids toys/clothes, freshly made pizza, juice bar and a pretty extensive bulk section. The meat and seafood are somewhat disappointing in freshness and variety. They have many items under their house brand (like Whole Foods 365 brand) that are reasonably priced. I fell in love with a cute floppy, red hat the store was carrying! So when I stopped back in to pick one up, the hats were gone! I asked a woman working there where they went and she told me she had just boxed them up. She was in charge of switching out the seasonal inventory that day and I could tell she had hit many snags trying to get her work done lol! She said hold on and took off into the back. She came back with all three of the remaining hats and let me choose the best one. She was hilarious and joked around with me. I modeled the hat for her too! As most people in our area, I was super thrilled when I heard Fresh Thyme was coming to our area - not to mention right next to my gym! The first time I visited was the first week they opened and I had a great experience. Their produce was immaculate and the employees were actually singing and whistling throughout the store even though it was 7 am. It struck me as "wow, they must really enjoy being here". I visited again a few months later, for an AMAZING advertised sale on boneless skinless chicken breast. As most 9-5'ers, I work Monday thru Friday. So we stopped in with our ad on Saturday to find out their teeny tiny chicken section was empty. And employee said they were all out. Hmm. That's odd. Such a great deal and they didn't get enough of it in? Weird. Disappointed. Did not go back again. THEN a few weeks ago I saw an advertised 2/$5 strawberry pints. YUM, I thought as I remembered their produce. Ok I'll give it another try. Search the entire store - no strawberries. That's odd, I must have missed them somewhere. Nope. Cashier says they're out and I get a rain check. Should be more in tomorrow. Check back two days later and AGAIN no strawberries. I actually went out to my car and screamed in frustration. How on EARTH do they get by having advertised sale items that they never even have in stock by the time you can get there?! To me, it makes no sense. Expand your boneless chicken section and if you have ad items, make sure you order enough. Ridiculous. Nothing could make me go back, even if they were giving things away for free. Their ads are a trap to get people there and then leave with stuff they didn't need and NOT the stuff they did need. Very sad business model. Too bad, I was super pumped for this place. I've moved back to Green Bay from a larger city-with 2 Trader Joe's, 2 Fresh Thyme's, and 1 Whole Foods, and I must say I'm very happy to see Fresh Thyme in the area. I realize that for some in the community Fresh Thyme's place could still be a mystery. Let me say, Fresh Thyme is a great place to start an organic and natural foods lifestyle, if you haven't had the opportunity to before. Like Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme has many organic and natural beauty products and supplements and serves fresh food. They also have some of their own store brand products, like Trader Joe's, that will save you some money. Another nice element is that Fresh Thyme also offer local fruits and vegetables. While, you can go visit your local farmer's market for local produce, you won't have all the other conveniences of the products offered by Fresh Thyme in one place all year long. The products are quality and the food and produce are good too. While some may feel the price hike is too much to bear in comparison to Aldi's or Woodman's, these stores are not really the peers of Fresh Thyme. Be Alive Nutrition store or other organic and specialty stores are a fairer comparison. While you won't necessarily find employees with the expertise of a local specialty or organic store, as a composite whole- you will find a bit of many things you find in specialty non-chain stores and larger chains like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. To sum it up, Fresh Thyme is like Whole Foods, with a touch of a local farmer's market, and a splash of Trader Joe's. The good of many organic, natural food store experiences in one place. The "Walmart" of natural food if you will. It's definitely worth going to and the new products you haven't heard of yet are surely worth trying- some are sure to become your new favs as well! read more

This is exactly what Green Bay needed and I'm so happy we finally have a Fresh Market. I would describe Fresh Thyme as a mix of Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. The store is quite small but it carries everything you need. I love their deli and the variety of Boars Head meats and cheeses, the antipasto bar is great, I usually get the pickled mushrooms and stuffed olives. Produce is fresh and fairly priced, if it's on sale it's the best deal in town. The Cosmetic and Vitamin section is huge, can't beat the variety.
