Asian Taste, just saying it makes my mouth water. This place has the best, and I mean the best…read morePho. The pork and egg rolls are up there with the best as well. It's small, quite, cheap, and smells like heaven. Living in San Fran for years, Ive missed small markets like this so much. And to finally find one in Green Bay, and I must add, a better one, is a miracle. This is the real deal! They have everything from rice to durian, milk tea to chopsticks. Every corner of the space is used and hides a little gem of a secret to make your belly happy. Wanna step back into the real world. Come here and get something delicious.

I like to visit local Asian markets on my work travels and found Asian Taste through Yelp…read more I visited about an hour before closing and they were no longer taking orders for their kitchen. Most of the items in the hot foods was cleared out and there were some options in the refrigerated area near the hot foods. As I didn't have a way to heat up the food, I skipped this option. I was pleasantly surprised to find pineapple cookies that I believe are the same ones as what I've had in Thailand before and loved. I don't know if they are available at major markets near my home but being able to spend more time in the aisles of a smaller market, I spotted them and purchased a jar to try out. If Im in the area again, I would come back and see if I can try their hot foods.

University Avenue Market - This is the dip that she claimed I had eaten too much of to return. Next to it are the chips with the dip on.

I was assured they would take it back. I said that I would return it when I got on that side of town, and two days later, I brought it back. The woman manager told me I needed a receipt. I told her that I was told I would get a refund without one. She gave me attitude. Then she went to get her boss "from the laundromat " next door. He came and rubber stamped what she said. She kept interjecting, and I told her she should be quiet and let me talk to him. She still interrupted and he said "She is a manager too. She can." She was condescending and snarky, but thought that calling me ma'am made it okay. I told him that I made a trip out there based on the promise that a receipt didn't matter and I would get a refund. They told me the man who told me that didn't have a right to because he wasn't a manager. Well when I called that is who they had me talk to. Shouldn't they have put me through to a manager? I had told that lady "You can see it is one of your products . The plastic box it is in has the store name on. And you can see that most of the dip is still there." She said there is too much of it gone. I had told her that what was gone was what I dished onto the chips (which I also bought there) in my fridge. She ignored that I explained that, and repeated the same thing to her manager. So I had to re-explain that it was on the chips, and in order to get it back I would have to scrape it off the chips. And trust me, most of the dip was still in the plastic box thingie. I had already told the male manager that I was a regular customer who was always satisfied with the guacamole dip until now. It tasted rotten This time. I already explained this. It then he said "Why did you buy it if you don't like it?" Like I knew ahead of time it was going bad. And the female manager still was interjecting, and when I interjected he kept saying "She can if she wants." She still kept tacking on ma'am to make it appear she was polite. People were watching. But the managers didn't seem to care, as they kept the argument going. Even if I was a difficult customer-and I was in the right-the onus is on the store employees to calm the issue down and be the ones to give in. I told them that I know how customer service is supposed to be. I worked in it my entire life, and I am almost 60 years old. He said something contrary. No matter what I said, they had to have the last word, even as I walked away. I said something, he said something back, and I think I let him have the last word. I had an eerily similar experience there years ago. Otherwise most of the employees are nice. There is one woman employee there when this took place. I always liked her. There was a male employee who witnessed it, and I hope he doesn't go along with their peer pressure to please them, if they tell the owner their version. And when I bought the dip, I also bought two bags of tostadas which I now have no use for, and two plastic trays of deviled eggs. I spent a fair amount of money. The eggs were good. I sure hope they have a network of friends who will put good reviews here, to offset mine. Usually people don't waste their time putting reviews if they are satisfied, so the little praises are suspect to me.

Green Bay Farmer's Market - Nice flower vendor lady who was kind enough to allow me to take her picture. As you can see, the flowers are also beautiful.

The other one is across the river on Broadway St. It is held on Wednesday's, late Afternoon/early evening. Both are great! Not sure which one I like better. They both have many of the same vendors, but the time of day and location, bring a little different vibe to the events. The great thing about the Saturday one is it's in the morning. A little bit more laid back. It's a great way to start your morning with coffee and a pastry while you shop the many stands from local farmers, restaurants and businesses. The Wednesday one is on Broadway which has a few more bars and restaurants, so it has a little bit more of a "happy hour" feel to it (if you want to enjoy some music, food and booze this would be your pick). I look forward to getting to as many as possible. Even when I don't need anything... yet I always find something to buy! Farmers Markets in Green Bay, to me, means it's finally nice out!
