    Getting stuff for the barbecue

Well with this economy, living in Orange County and paying high rent, I am appreciating ALDI quite a bit more! Even though, unfortunately, the produce wasn't the greatest at the specific location tonight, for example, there were no bananas ! "Yes, we have no bananas. We have no bananas today. " lyric from a song It seems like there are a lot of merchandise now, specially during the Christmas/holiday season. But still everything's great prices. So all in all five stars !

Random treasure finds on this Aisle. Was tempted!

I used to shop at Aldi intermittently a lifetime ago in a different state. When i moved back I totally forgot all about it until another yelper reintroduced it to me. I went once about a year ago and then decided to revisit today. Located in the heart of laguna woods, next to dollar tree Aldi is a hidden gem. As I was going aisle by aisle checking out what they had, i realized the prices are really reasonable and the type of products are kinda cool. There is something for everyone. From food products, chocolates, produce, to a cool aisle filled with random stuff. On todays haul, i bought some healthy dried fruit mix, Belgian chocolate, 9.4 pH basic water, food container and a cute sun hat for my floof. They also have seasonings similar to trader joes "everything bagel" and even Paddles for pickle ball. Literally, something for everyone. Im definitely coming back again. Thank you to K.N for reintroducing me to this option , i have another option to shop for groceries, and treasure hunt at the same time.

Eh. Nothing special in stock and the place smelled like a dumpster. I don't think I'll be going back. Not sure what the hype is about.

The Aldi in Laguna Woods is a hellhole of poor customer service. Long lines, indifferent managers, cashiers that don't say thank you.

The cashier was surprisingly rude and unprofessional. When I ordered, he questioned why I was buying halo-halo on a cold night and even asked if I was "from Antarctica." I honestly thought he was joking at first, but he continued making comments--even saying I would "for sure get a cough in the morning"--and still questioned my order as if I wasn't allowed to buy halo-halo at all. His voice was loud enough that another customer started laughing. My mom, who is very kind and usually lets things go, even noticed how disrespectful he was. His comments were unnecessary, offensive, and completely uncalled for. If customers aren't supposed to order halo-halo in cold weather, then why sell it? I chose not to argue back because I didn't want to be disrespectful in front of my parents, and he was an older man. But "uncle," please change your attitude. There is no reason to shame customers for what they choose to order. This is the first time I've ever written a negative review.

We always select the latter. Price is reasonable for fresh made food. Then the Super Nitro Cold Brew Coffee...omg! I tried it last Sunday, and it was amazing! Light, slightly sweet, creamy, luscious coffee. I can't wait for my next dose! Vendors are super friendly, people are chill. We had a great time. There is so much to eat and buy.

It was a horrible experience and I will never, ever be back. The grating mariachi music was so loud that I could hardly hear myself think. Worse yet, every vendor there had their own boombox going, so it was a profoundly unpleasant cacophony of competing trumpets, accordions, and incomprehensible lyrics. The prices were out of control. $12-13 for a dozen eggs. $18/pound for stew beef. FOR STEW BEEF. there were tons of duplicate vendors offering the exact same produce; nothing stood out except for the high prices. The gentleman from MJ Family Farms was quite nice, introduced himself and shook my hand. I appreciate that old-school American way of doing business. Sadly, he is the only vendor there who appeared to care about making a sale. (Simply because of his kind demeanor did I spend $18 for 1 pound of stew beef. Everyone else seemed too busy chatting amongst themselves/other vendors/employees.)
