But they have a lot of fun items, so sometimes I get food for more than one day. I really like their Cuban sandwich, so I get that a lot. But I've tried a number of their other options and they're also quite good. There's usually a weekly special that's fun. And, though I can't eat sugar myself, I have it on good authority that the whoopie pies are excellent. While full-time veganism can be a lot of work and some people think of it as a form of deprivation, part-time veganism still reduces the world's stress on animal products, is climate-friendly, and has a lot of health benefits. So don't feel like you have to subscribe to a religion to enjoy yourself. For example, I try to keep my cholesterol down, and vegan food automatically checks that list. No cholesterol in anything. So when they have something that is cheeseburger-like, it obviously isn't going to be made of actual beef and cheese. Still, I find it "good enough" taste-wise and I like not having to feel guilty that I'm off diet when I'm enjoying my food. An underappreciated aspect of such a restaurant is that its know their ingredients and don't think it's at all odd for you to ask about them. So if you've got food sensitivities of any kind and tire of feeling like a burden for asking, just that part alone may help you feel relaxed and among your own. This restaurant is tucked inside the Toadstool Bookstore, a local indie bookstore, so that's fun too. Browse some physical books while you're there. Yeah, that's still a thing.

The Ragin' Cajun declared "good, but could be more cajun". Will be back - much to try! I loved the melty cashew cheese and want to try the mac and cheese and poutine.

This review is for my wife, who doesn't go on Yelp. . . . But I do…read more This is her review. Service, Service, Service! I tried them twice, bad both times. Day One, I went in and ordered a bacon egg & cheese sandwich. I asked if I could substitute avocado for the cheese. They said no as the avocado is more expensive. I get it, no big deal. I ask for a bacon egg sandwich (no cheese). They take my order along with my coffee and such and I go about my business. I go back to my Air bnb and lo and behold it's an egg only sandwich. I chalk it up to talking about avocados more than I do their listening skills and I move on. Day Two, I go in to give them a second chance. I order a Harvest Bowl & 2 coffees. I pay in cash. I get my cups, fill up my coffees and wait. After a few minutes, I realize that several people have come in, ordered, served and left in front of me. I go up to the counter and ask about my order and find out it was never put in. Because I paid in cash there was no trail. It's now well over 20 minutes and the person who took my order would not even lift her head to acknowledge that she served me. I call someone else over and ask about what to do and they treat me like I'm looking for a free meal. (FYI, visually I am a successful older female). Once they retook my order I quickly went next door to the jewelry shop as I had some time sensitive business there. When I returned, bowl still not ready, but was on the stove. While I was waiting I asked to speak with the manager. Suddenly nobody wanted to be the manager. Once someone came forward, I asked if this type of service was normal. I also asked if they compensate customers who have been ignored. He THEN HAD THE NERVE TO SAY, 'WELL, YOU'RE GETTING THE BOWL FOR FREE'! There were places I wanted him to put said compensation. Never, Never, NEVER say words like that to any customer. The sad part, the food is good. The place is cute. The customer service takes all that away and more. Caitlin, you have a good thing. Don't let your employees ruin it. When I mentioned your business in the jewelry store, they avoid your place too for the same reason.

Waitstaff and hostess were kind. The pretzel they brought us as a starter was fantastic. Everyone was thrilled with the mustard and pub cheese. There were mixed reviews for our entrees, but the C monster iPa and peachy Keene kolsch were well enjoyed.

Upon arrival (be warned, gps will take you weird way through back lots, bit you will get there) was impressed by the beautiful historical structure it is housed in. Theres a lovely outdoor eating area, and plenty of indoor dining in various types of rooms, and a bar area. We opted for indoor dining, was seated in the main dining area. Its a beautiful space with restored wood work and craft beer decor. They brew their own beer. I had the Bird NEIPA, probably the smoothest IPA i have ever tasted. Loved it. Apps: OUTSTANDING! the spinach artichoke dip I guarantee is better than any you have ever had, anywhere. The bagel chips with everything seasoning compliments the dip perfectly. We also had the sweet potato corn jalapeño soup. Creamy, flavorful with the perfect spicy finish. Dinner: Took forever to get to us. Almost an hour from when we ordered. At 45 minutes our server said he dropped one of our meals, so he asked kitchen to make 2 new ones..so one wasn't just sitting under heat lamp. Very much appreciated, but even still..it should not have taken that long. My meal was ok. Peach BBQ pulled chicken sandwich, there wasn't much chicken. The bun was barely toasted, and not a broiche as advertised. Just a regular burger bun. So i couldnt hold the sandwich up without it drooping. I ate with fork, it was fine. Just a bit disappointed. The NY Strip however, was melt in your mouth good, the demi glaze sauce was amazing too. Would definitely come back here if ever in area again. It was that good, even with the bad timing. So many other menu items i would love to try
