Of course, we went for the mac & cheese. We were surprised at how much other stuff they had, like fresh, baked goods, a deli, prepared foods and an amazing dessert case! They have tables next-door at the store that you can sit out and eat your food out. It has cute little gifts and local food items that you can buy. We had the mac & cheese on the way up and on the way back, bought more mac & cheese, some kale slaw, and some fresh made deli sandwiches. My sandwich was great, my wife got tuna and I will say they could've added a little more for the price. The rancid was rancid so I actually threw it away and didn't get to try it. Everyone was great from the guy who checked us out to the Deli person who made our sandwiches. If this is on your way, definitely stop in, you won't be disappointed.

New year, new review…read more Popped in after a morning of skiing New Year's Day and place was packed for lunch! I didn't mind as I was in no rush. As I waited in line I enjoyed conversations with both the people in front and behind me whom all have never been before. The joy and excitement on their faces as they made their way to order was priceless. As for myself, a small mac to help start the new year strong for total lbs sold (81k in 2024) and a small pulled pork. Wanted to order some other things but my refrigerator is full at home, so another time. If this will be your first time, just be aware of parking could be very busy as there's not much. Both ways before pull out of parking spaces as well. Main road can be a cluster at times. I also recommend getting lots of little things rather than a little of a lot. One item was Side Hill Farm's Maple Apple Drizzle. It was fantastic, so I ended up buying a jar to take home with us. We just finished the jar and I decided to look up Side Hill Farm. Luckily for us, they sell and ship their items! I did not realize that they had a lot of other jams/drizzles as well. I ended up buying 4 more jars of the apple drizzle, as well as 4 other jams. They were very quick to ship out and I had my purchases within a couple of days! I have already opened up one of the drizzles as, well as the peach jam (very very good!), can't wait to try others. The only negatives: I was going to buy 10 jars, but the shipping charges changed when you went up higher than 8 jars. So it may have been worth it had I purchased 16 jars, but the price per jar was more expensive at 10 jars vs. 8. I do get it now that I see their packaging, it perfectly fits 8 jars. The other negative, the drizzle we bought in Vermont, was probably 95% apples, with 5% liquid, so it was a very thick filling drizzle, which I loved! Seeing these newly shipped jars, they are probably 75% apples, with 25% liquid. It was a very noticeable difference since I see so much liquid. It is still very good and I would buy again, I would just prefer the thickness with the apples taking up the space rather than so much thin liquid. Give them a try if you have a chance, I have liked everything that I have had so far!

**November 2025: Tuesday Early Afternoon Visit**…read more For my Vermont portion of the roadtrip I really wanted to visit a maple syrup farm. I called the day before to confirm hours and inquire on potential tours and they indeed were in operation despite the cold season. We arrived around 1pm and entered the small gift shop which had their maple syrup on display in various sizes. They also sold some Vermont made Jam, homemade magnets and some other souvenirs. The shopkeeper greeted us and agreed to give us a tour and educated us about the maple syrup process. She took us out back and told us and showed us the blue pipes that transport the syrup to their backhouse which then heats it up so all the liquid dissipates. At the end of the tour we got to sample both the Medium Amber and Dark Robust syrups. My friend and I definitely preferred the Medium Amber. I bought small maple leaf shaped jars as well as the maple candy to bring in my checked bag and my friend asked if they could ship his gallon to California. This maple syrup has a more molasses taste to it and I think I'm ruined on store bought generic maple syrup lol. Overall, a fun visit!

Overall, I thought the stalls were decently priced and we bought a lot of items ranging from fresh beets, garlic, mixed greens, to fresh cheese, and mushrooms. Apart from food and produce they sell yarn that comes from the wool of local sheep. I saw a distillery stall where they were handing out samples - it had quite the line. A stall that sold dry teas and infused syrups (I bought one actually) Maple syrup, soaps, I could go on. There's a booth for those who use Hip and apparently from $10 you get $30 to spend so it's a place where even those on a low budget can come and take advantage. Then there's the food which, you should definitely try. It was our first time trying food from Afghanistan and it was incredible. They were like these dumplings filled with either meat or squash, we chose the squash, and then it had lentils on top and a rich yogurt sauce that was absolutely phenomenal. I mean, honestly, it was a great experience, and the place itself is so beautiful, it's no wonder that there's lines of cars parked and others waiting to find parking. That's the only drawback, finding parking is gonna be rough, but when you do, ohhh the goodies that await you! I honestly wish I lived here, I'd be at this farmers market every Saturday.
