Super creamy and sticky with subtle flavors of maple syrup immersed throughout melts in your mouth and leaves you feeling like you want more! In February and March, their Sugar House is open and you can request a free tour of how they make and bottle their maple syrup. From the tapped trees to the raw syrup in vats, to boiling the syrup and taste-testing, the owner and the staff were very knowledgeable and great with kids! Soft guitar music playing while all the beautiful foliage surrounds all the various kiosks. Like something out of Pinterest. I feel like the photos don't do the actual experience justice. Overall, I thought the stalls were decently priced and we bought a lot of items ranging from fresh beets, garlic, mixed greens, to fresh cheese, and mushrooms. Apart from food and produce they sell yarn that comes from the wool of local sheep. I saw a distillery stall where they were handing out samples - it had quite the line. A stall that sold dry teas and infused syrups (I bought one actually) Maple syrup, soaps, I could go on. There's a booth for those who use Hip and apparently from $10 you get $30 to spend so it's a place where even those on a low budget can come and take advantage. Then there's the food which, you should definitely try. It was our first time trying food from Afghanistan and it was incredible. They were like these dumplings filled with either meat or squash, we chose the squash, and then it had lentils on top and a rich yogurt sauce that was absolutely phenomenal. I mean, honestly, it was a great experience, and the place itself is so beautiful, it's no wonder that there's lines of cars parked and others waiting to find parking. That's the only drawback, finding parking is gonna be rough, but when you do, ohhh the goodies that await you! I honestly wish I lived here, I'd be at this farmers market every Saturday.

There is no time stamp on one stuff has been put out. I gave it one last try last week and it was 10:30 a.m. and stuff looked like it should be hot and it still was I don't know when it was put out but it wasn't fresh. The bagged chicken tenders are better bet. I wish they would do the Nashville hot again that was the best flavor. These also have time and date stamps on them. For someone like myself who spent many years in the restaurant business and food service I don't understand how they can just leave stuff out and not explain when it was put out. I did reach out to the company a few months ago regarding this issue which they never replied to me about, which is poor customer service, as well as not backing up your procedures with actual food safety! I have never gotten sick from eating it but some of the time has been so bad that it's inedible and that's when I contacted the company. Why put stuff out if you don't give a crap? When I was going to continuing ed in Manchester, the Bedford store, And Goffstown stores we're always well maintained in this regard. As for the rest of the Keene store the seafood counter is always spot on and I've never had problems with their deli, or produce etc. The bakery items they have as most grocery stores do are the quick rise kinds of breads and cakes probably made with hydrogenated oils. That said I don't buy my bread products from the store unless it's just a bun to make a cold cut sandwich. It's honestly still probably one of the better grocery stores in Keene. Market basket though is giving it a run for its money these days though. It's slightly cheaper at least for produce and many other things. Aldi across the street is pretty fantastic in certain ways but doesn't have the selection of products that Hannaford's does Back when people were wearing masks some of the people attending to the checkouts at this were not the most pleasant as well they would make you remove your mask( which I didn't want to wear in the first place) to validate alcohol. I don't understand how society can be this confused about cross-contamination if they are worried about such things, as I have worked in medical environments that doesn't make sense. It's a bananas world and some people just follow orders.

**November 2025: Tuesday Early Afternoon Visit**…read more For my Vermont portion of the roadtrip I really wanted to visit a maple syrup farm. I called the day before to confirm hours and inquire on potential tours and they indeed were in operation despite the cold season. We arrived around 1pm and entered the small gift shop which had their maple syrup on display in various sizes. They also sold some Vermont made Jam, homemade magnets and some other souvenirs. The shopkeeper greeted us and agreed to give us a tour and educated us about the maple syrup process. She took us out back and told us and showed us the blue pipes that transport the syrup to their backhouse which then heats it up so all the liquid dissipates. At the end of the tour we got to sample both the Medium Amber and Dark Robust syrups. My friend and I definitely preferred the Medium Amber. I bought small maple leaf shaped jars as well as the maple candy to bring in my checked bag and my friend asked if they could ship his gallon to California. This maple syrup has a more molasses taste to it and I think I'm ruined on store bought generic maple syrup lol. Overall, a fun visit!
