The service is comically bad with youngish kids at the counter who have not been trained, are slow and not at all welcoming. There are new faces in there every day. My last trip was earlier this week when my order was rung up at $10.51. I rarely use cash but had $11 and asked the young and confused employee if I could take a penny out of the tip jar so I could have 2 quarters change for parking meters. The minute I laid hands on that thing, a blonde haired middle aged woman literally flew out of the back and told me to get my hand out of the tip jar. Kinda chuckled and said Do you think I'm a thief?" Mind you, I am an elderly, completely respectable woman. I told her the girl had given me permission to get a penny ( waited for her to volunteer but she was too clueless). She said she hadn't heard that and to NEVER touch the tip jar. Maybe there has been theft before? But by an older daily customer? I was humiliated and terribly upset, especially as a long line of customers looked on. I am asking for an apology.

Everyone was kind and friendly the person waiting on me at the front desk Tessa she was awesome. Very helpful and kind. I had lots of questions. She had no problem giving the answers. Then we did buy a few things at the front. They also offer each week a month a cabinet like you packed type thing today's had like some cheese sticks in it. It had a dip that had a quart of yogurt has some slicing cheese on burgers. It had the kind of crackers it had a cream cheese. It had about seven different items in the bag for $25. I really felt that was a very good value Because it's directly from the farmer. They had a lot of good deals today. They are fresh local meats and cheeses pies from humble pie company and waffle. They also had ice cream from like five different companies. This was a lot of fun so glad I bought the ticket. It was only $10 and well worth the price. My intentions had to take my grandkids up here so they can see the cows and stuff and they can get ice cream a different day.

At first I was a little frazzled when I realized you need to order on the website and then come down and pick it up. This was no problem. I called back from the parking lot, placed my order, and they brought it out and put it in my car. I'm sure if it was a busy time this may have taken longer. Bottom line: they are doing this the right way. I had no physical contact with anyone so all i needed to do was wash the groceries when I got home, which I do anyway! Great service. Decent selection for a country store. Friendly and helpful staff. Much safer than going to the grocery store for us and for them. I highly recommend this business.

Cannot say enough about an orchard with a view!…read more Did a fall foliage drive and decided to drive past the orchard. I always drive through in the winter for the beautiful sunrise over the mountains in the distance. Never seen it in the fall before and it was busy! Too be expected as my buddy owns Fern Valley Farm in Wilbraham so I already have my apples for the year. But, my girlfriend and I stopped for some cider and a cider donut at one of the stands off to the side in the parking lot. I had a cider lemonade which I enjoyed. Babe had a regular cider which was not to her liking as, in my opinion, coming from Michigan there is a lot of culture she's getting used to around here. I wouldn't put it past this being a fun trip for any family! Looks as if you get a tractor ride to some of the apples if you so choose to do that.

This is such a fun place to visit with so many activities that are family-(and friend)-friendly!…read more My friends and I went apple picking here! You can start off by taking brown bags or berry cartons at the entrance storefront. There are TONS of fields to explore: we explored fields of raspberries, elderberries, blueberries, and then you get to the apple orchards. There are SO many varieties of apples. I would make sure you have some good shoes because in some areas of the apple orchard, there are some steep inclines. If there is rain, it can also get slippery. There is also a HUGE pumpkin patch, flower fields that are available for picking, and a CORN MAZE - the latter is $6 entrance fee! Again, so much to do. Unfortunately I did not have time to experience the corn maze because it started raining by then. If I could make a suggestion, It would be nice for some of the trees to have a suspended net around the bottom of the tree (maybe this isn't optimal for weight purposes). But so many apples fall off the tree- or people drop them while picking. It seems a shame to go to waste, so would be cool if there were a way to catch them before hitting the ground and bruising/ resting in dirt. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. It was a ton of fun to visit the farm with so much to do, and delicious apples. PLUS Mac's Maple is also down the road so that was our next stop!

There is now a really successful and well run business in that spot. This is it!!! I visited today and was absolutely delighted to discover incredibly low prices with absolutely flawless produce. Mangos were 99¢ to $1.39 depending on size, a full pint of blueberries were $2.99, plantains were 3/$1, 4 mini cucumbers ended up being $1, tomatoes were $2.99 where folks at other stores charge double for the same thing!! I can't quote you on all the prices accurately, but if you know your fruits and veggies the way I do, you'll notice that the prices are generally 20-50% lower than other stores. Also - FRESH dates. Yeah. My American ignorance was challenged today, folks. I'm glad. The owner gave me one to try and it was great! I'm specifically writing this review because I really really want this business to thrive. Please go visit!! You'll be happy! :) The owner genuinely cares about the customers being happy, the quality of the produce leaving his store, and the prices are fantastic. What more could you possibly ask for?

New year, new review…read more Popped in after a morning of skiing New Year's Day and place was packed for lunch! I didn't mind as I was in no rush. As I waited in line I enjoyed conversations with both the people in front and behind me whom all have never been before. The joy and excitement on their faces as they made their way to order was priceless. As for myself, a small mac to help start the new year strong for total lbs sold (81k in 2024) and a small pulled pork. Wanted to order some other things but my refrigerator is full at home, so another time. If this will be your first time, just be aware of parking could be very busy as there's not much. Both ways before pull out of parking spaces as well. Main road can be a cluster at times. I also recommend getting lots of little things rather than a little of a lot. You can always come back for more!

I ordered: - Macaroni and cheese ($4.29 per 1/2 lb) made with Vermont's Cabot cheddar cheese - very creamy, cheesy, and had a perfect texture. - Maple BBQ Pulled Pork ($5.99 per 1/2 lb) - very juicy and moist - Turkey Sandwich - had this the next day and it was still tasty. Not dry at all. All were very flavorful and delicious! Highly recommend visiting ~ I can't wait to be back :)
