I happened to be in Glen Burnie because of the Lowe's, but once that mission was complete, I realized I needed some groceries. Aldi is one of 4 grocery stores I frequent and when I Googled Aldi, I found one very close to the Lowe's. It was pretty slow at the time I arrived (fairly early morning) which was perfect. This particular Aldi was familiar as they all are. I was quickly able to navigate the [fairly] clean aisles to find the items I needed. The ciabatta buns I bought this day were the freshest ones I've had from Aldi. I did self checkout. I didn't interact with a soul my visit, but I'm ok with that. read more

I've visited this Aldi years ago and was not impressed with the quality or selection of groceries. I went back recently to check it out since I was in the area and decided never again. I forgot that you needed a quarter to get a cart, but no big deal, I can hold the couple of items I may grab. I also took in a reusable bag to carry my stuff out. I grabbed a few snacks that looked okay. The produce was awful and moldy. The meat was grey and questionable. I decided to leave and at the check out, the cashier loaded my items into a cart he had. I pulled the cart aside to the side table so I could load my items into my bag and the person behind me didn't have to wait. The cashier yelled at me to bring the cart back and that it wasn't my quarter. I told him I will bring it back to him. This place is laughable. Take your quarter. read more

The staff is the best. The store is small, and the people Who shop here lack couth.. that is however no reason to hate on this small treasure here in Glen Burnie. Most Customers are not courteous on this part of town. The occasional homeless person asking for your cart to get the quarter is not keen, but they hang out on the intersection at ordnance and ask for money as well.. so I'll just give them the quarter. Sheeeesh, put on your hater blockers cuz these reviews did NOT pass the vibe check. I LOVE Aldi's. I RAVE about Aldi's so much that my best friends who don't have one near them are jealous. You can get your basics and random Aldi finds here at such a steal. This is my go to grocery store and their prices can't be beat. I get bread, snacks, veggies, dairy, salmon, meat, chicken, frozen foods, paper plates, etc. here. The paper towels are a great dupe for bounty. Their toilet paper is a great dupe for Angels soft Dish detergent is a dupe for Dawn's. I always grab a box to hold my things. That way I don't over purchase lol. Sometimes I'll grab a cart if I'm shopping for the next two weeks or longer. I read one of the previous comments complaining about the system that they use where you have to insert a quarter to use a cart. WELL, I love this system because this is how they are able to keep their prices so low. They have less staff to go around the parking lot to bring the carts in. Plan ahead people. OR grab a box and stop complaining. It's not that difficult. The lines go by HELLLA fast. Literally the fastest check out I have ever experienced in my life. I use Apple Pay too, so no need to pull out my card or none of that. Just tap my Apple watch and BOOM, there's my receipt. So idk what the other posts are talking about. ALDI is definitely changing the game. The selections of organic foods and snacks has been growing. Produce is better than any other grocery store in the area....(freshness wise). The only weakness is that the fresh, raw meat selections are not very appetizing. read more

This store is not one you would want to visit unless you have lots of time to waste. As usual the line is long (only 1 register opened) I actually counted how many people were in line. One register open with 13 people complaining. I knocked on the office door only to see three employee talking, they immediately opened another register. No one should have go through this nonsense when shopping at Aldi. read more

To the uninitiated, it is confusing. I can see millennials getting confused because you have to use those old fashioned things called quarters to get a shopping cart. I think that is a great idea. It would cause major headaches at the larger store like Safeway, but here, it works. The place is not organized in a way you would expect. Aisles are not labeled, When you walk in the door, you are suddenly in the chip and chocolate aisle. They also sell things like pots, pan, utensils, saw horses, dog bed, bowls, plates and other household items. These are not organized either and you must look at everything on the shelf in the hopes of finding what you want because every store does not carry all items. I have never bought meat here. The dry foods I have gotten were pretty good. I normally shop at Walmart, so to me, this is a novelty that is fun to check out once and a while. read more

What? What is this place? What planet am I on? I'm all kinds of confused. I came to Aldi's because I heard that it's similar to Trader Joe's. IT'S NOT SIMILAR TO TRADER JOES. REPEAT: IT'S NOT SIMILAR TO TRADER JOE'S. Whatever history Aldi's and Trader Joe's may share, let me assure you that it's just that: HISTORY. The first red flag went up when I tried to get a shopping cart, and couldn't, because you have to deposit a physical quarter into some contraption thing to release it. I guess this prevents people from stealing shopping carts? And I guess everybody else that shops here thinks this is normal? WELL GUESS WHAT, THIS ISN'T THE 1990'S AND I DON'T CARRY CASH. That's right, I have absolutely 0 form of physical currency in my possession because it's 2018 and I can pay for most everything with my iPhone. In an era where we're moving past even carrying plastic credit cards around, here we are at Aldi's being forced to utilize ancient relics in order to perform the simplest of tasks. In the age of convenience, this is REVOLTING. Moving on, I decided to enter the store, and since I don't have a shopping cart, just HAND CARRY everything I want to buy. This place must have some redeeming qualities, right? Maybe they offer really low prices on some great quality food items. WRONG. Everything I heard about Aldi's being cheap was WRONG. I can't think of any good examples off the top of my head but I was certainly not blown away by the "low prices" of the items being sold. Trader Joe's has much lower prices, and so does Wal Mart. Maybe there's an item here and there like an 89 cent gallon of milk that Aldi's offers that could be an exception, but come on, you're really going to come to this store for 1 cheap item? And speaking of the products ((shutter)), this store does not go out of their way whatsoever for presentation, and THAT'S OK, but the stuff they're selling looks so generic you could probably expect to find it all at Big Lots. In fact, that's what Aldi's is, it's the Big Lots of grocery stores (and ironically enough, there is actually a real Big Lots located within this very same plaza) So I ended up shopping for a minute and HAND HOLDING a few things I wanted to buy, and just as I made it down the second aisle I saw some bottles of generic disgustingness on sale and suddenly, an epiphany came over me... A voice in my head that whispered "JUST GO." So I listened, I set all the stuff down and left. I'm all about finding low prices for quality products, but this place has neither. What it does offer from a consumerist perspective is the ILLUSION that since the store is so crappy you think you're getting a better deal at Aldi's as compared to its competitors. Aldi's is one of my go to stores for the majority of my grocery needs. This store has everything from produce to spices, to frozen food. Granted they aren't your typical grocery store so you won't find everything but the items that they have are decent value and the prices are excellent. I typically visit the Glen Burnie or the Morrell Park locations because they're the locations that are closest to me. Suggestions My suggestions for this store is to make sure you have a quarter and your own grocery bags; the quarter to use the carts (to keep the parking lot free of runaway carts) and your own cloth grocery bags (because they charge you $.10 for the plastic bags and $.05 for a brown bag.) Savings In my personal opinion, Aldi's is an efficient way to shop rather than spending 10% or more at your chain grocery stores. Aldi's is a great way to save money and stay on a budget due to the value of what you get opposed to other stores where you get the same product for more money and lesser value. Customer Service Staff members are generally kind and courteous and most importantly efficient while switching carts and checking you out. One ting that I love about this place is that even though its considered a discount store, staff members aren't loud and ghetto, they're professional and neatly dressed. I especially love some of the ladies at the Morrell Park Aldi's who remember who you are and don't mind "checking in". Great store, prices and quality of items; a definite 4 stars! read more

Aldi it's a good store. I like the products. What I dislike it's how the cashier had a bad customer service training. I wish Aldi train better their employees. Cashier's, managers too. I have a bad experience with this cashier name Shanna at Aldi's store in Glen Burnie MD location. Shanna was throwing my food in the car in a mean way I don't appreciate see the cashier trowing my kids and family food I to the car. So please stop do that Shanna. This store is dirty and small. You even have to have a quarter to use the grocery carts. I would not recommend ever shopping here.

Nothing beats Aldi. Even though, some of the items are seasonal or weekly, the prices are reasonable. Some of the common, necessary food are there at low, low prices than Walmart. I always check out Aldi first before I need to get something in Walmart. read more

Small enough to zip in and out and any line goes fast as a rule. Eggs and milk are usually cheaper than at Costco. Other go to items are flour, sugar, powdered and brown sugar, oil (baking theme here), k-cups, protein snack bars, and whatever looks good in the produce aisle. There are typically weekly markdowns on seasonal and other clearance products. Their German made products can be fun to try and usually have fewer preservatives. I guess we buy a lot here that isn't offered at Costco or because it's cheaper and/or we just want smaller quantities. Even found fondue cheese (identical to TJoe's ingredients) for a bit less this year. P.S. All major credit cards are now accepted. read more

i was in there 2/6/2018 .i saw this big stuffed elephant. the price said $6.99 i said wow i'm getting that. the manager was stocking he hurried and flipped the price over and said rudely no its $12.99 apparently they were on sale. since it said $6.99 i should of got it for that but he was so rude. i went to cash iut and asked a cashier,who happened to be manager and told her she said abruptly he's not on the clock, oh so he can be rude. she was rude to, defending him. they need customer service training. read more

Extremely limited and not particularly predictable selection and fairly reasonable prices. The prices are sometimes a fair bit lower than at other grocery stores but sometimes just competitive. Unfortunately their milk has a tendency to go bad on the very date stamped on the jug. This seems to be something particular to this store. read more

Uhm, first of all, you don't pay for shopping carts. You get your quarter back after you put your cart away. It is an attempt to prevent those people who are too lazy to return their carts from leaving them all over the lot. Its actually quite intelligent. Anyways, I am quite the Trader Joe's-aholic, so it is pretty unusual for me to go somewhere else. But I had heard about Aldi carrying more organic items so I decided to take a look. I bought a lot of things (produce and packaged goods from their Simply Nature line) and I only spent $40. They have wonderful prices like Trader Joe's, but they do not have as many options. Quality-wise, what I purchased was wonderful. Of course, I more than likely will NEVER prefer Aldi (or any other grocery store) over Trader Joe's (unless an even more affordable and amazingly wonderful health food store came about--but I highly doubt that) but for my in-between-TJs trips its a great option! The store is also nice and clean which is always a bonus! read more
