    Nice new store
    Joel H.

This is a new ALDI town for me. Perfect. I am glad that ALDI came here in Florida. This is a big-bright-spacious store with wide isles and plenty to choose from. Remember to bring a quarter to unlock the cart and bring your own bags. They clearly take many steps to bring you as much food as they can at the best prices they can. Great food selection, service from their very helpful team members. We've been here a couple of times now and managed to buy a fair amount of groceries. Remember... This is not a Publix. It is not the place to come for all your name brand items. This is how they're different. They move a lot of product here. Very simply displayed. They also have nice wide isles. Makes it easy to move arround This is not a flashy store. Works for me... Less glitz more value pricing. They cut the box and put it on a shelf. Again, just another way to save us some money on our grocery bills. They also have a very comprehensive supply of meats here too. There are no butchers, fish counters or bakeries here. All the food is packaged in refrigerators and freezers. Most brands are house brands, hence the ability to save some money on your shopping bills. Bakery items are all packaged. Remember to bring your own bags, they are not supplied by Aldi. PLenty of self checkout stations and a few live cashiers. I think they'll do well as people become accustomed to their methodology and I definitely recommend this store.

I love a brand new spanking Aldi's. This one just opened across from the Coral Square Mall on Atlantic Ave. It is so refreshing to see clean new carts. Remember to bring a quarter to unlock the cart and bring your own bags or you will have to buy theirs or load your groceries into one of the discarded cardboard boxes they leave around. Inside the store the wide aisles are brimming with items to help you save money. I never leave with out the bagged kale, Fit 50 orange juice, citrus green tea, and French roast coffee. My favorite part of shopping Aldi is all of the seasonal items, here today, gone tomorrow. I was hoping to score more of the Barq Root Beer Float frozen treats but they didn't have them along with some of the newer products people have been posting to the Aldi Nerd Facebook group. The best feature of the store is the self checkout. I have only ever seen this in the Hollywood store. No more long lines and having your groceries thrown at you in a frantic race to beat the clock. Aldi loves keeping staff bare bones so I don't know why more stores don't have this. It was a welcome sight and I was out in a flash.

They always encouraged me to come back, and I did. Quality is OK day-of. Most of it needs to be eaten quickly. For instance their watermelon or mangoes wont be good after a week. That's fine but $5.99/small melon or $1/mango are almost as bad as publix. Not quite but almost. Where's the deals? If its expensive, Where's the high quality? I respect their game and wish them luck but sadly its a closed chapter for me. Its not that im not going to return out of spite, but I wont be returning simply because there's no point to. Theres no deals or anything amazing anymore. Best of luck

At other times, there are horse shows and competitions in the same general area. Parking is free for everyone! They provide handicapped parking for those with valid placards. Just show it to the parking guides. We rarely see horses here during the market, but it sometimes seems that EVERYONE brings their dog. Any many of the vendors cater to the dogs as well, selling dog food, treats, doggie duds, toys and more. Parkland's dog parks, (one for little dogs and one for large dogs), called Barkland, are right down the road from the Farmer's Market. It is not a large market, but it has a nice selection of items. Many of the vendors give out tasting samples. There are food trucks as well, and a covered seating area, so feel free to buy food at the market and eat breakfast, brunch or lunch right there. The people who sell honey let you taste any and all. Be sure you taste brfore you buy. The honeys have a very broad range of flavors and colors, with avocado honey being almost avocado green...Really! The french bakery has yummy breads & pastries. The croissants are fresh, yet, when we sat down to eat them at the market, we decided we like them better lightly toasted with butter and/or honey on them. I'm bringing the rest home. Samples are always free at the apple cider donut booth, kettle korn, paela, dips, salsas, banana breads, (one if our favorite vendors). Believe it or not, the item least represented are fruits and vegetables. You'd think that at a Farmer's Market, there would be more. Many of the fruits and veggies even come complete with stickers, printed with codes for the supermarket. Not everything is homegrown.... They, however, usually have homegrown tomatoes, eggplants, zuchini, carrots, string beans, cheeses and more. . Other vendors sell veggie sprouts, many varieties of mushrooms (sometimes), various homemade clothes, granola, hot sauces, dips, The fish guy sells fresh fish salads, whatever he has caught in the last couple of days. The pickle guy is very popular, selling al different kinds of pickles. From time to time time there are special events: An antique car show Musical performers For Christmas there were 3-4 aisles of homemade gift items. and more... We've come to the market just to pick up their terrific banana bread. It comes in several varieties, but, having tried a few, opt for the original now every time. Hint: It freezes well too.

I also like how each one has a theme so there's health themes, craft themes, car shows, etc on top of the regular farmers market things. They always have bathrooms and food vendors and tents with picnic tables as well as a dj playing music. They also usually have a table in the front giving away free reusable bags in case you didn't bring your own. I try to come here every week it's open, and I always stock up on my favorites to hold me over till the next market. I will say I have noticed some vendors come and go, but the main ones stay pretty consistent. I went today and got a bunch of French bread/pastries, empanadas, cheese curds, Italian food, and an acai bowl.

He came back with everything on my list and more. So this week when in the area, I wanted to stop by and check it out myself. They have a lot of produce. All very nicely arranged and marked clearly with price signs. Some items are quite reasonable -- especially those items in sale. Most are at a good price or comparable to your local market. They also have a section of ready to eat cooked food and other deli items in a cooler. I did get another container of chopped chicken liver as I'd really like the one we tried before. I liked the fact that some of the cooked foods were in small portions for 1 or 2 people. What I didn't expect was the shelves of international food items -- from British to Mexican. These shelves line one wall. The place isn't large, but it certainly will have most of the fruits and veggies you're looking for. My husband thought their jumbo eggs were a real bargain, too. I'm sure we will be back when next in the area.

For anyone who actually cooks it's impressively well-stocked with the kind of ingredients that elevate your cooking from good to fabulous. Case in point: the cherry selection alone deserves its own spotlight. We're talking Luxardo, Amarena, and not one, but three varieties of Bada Bing cherries, the kind of ingredient you'd expect to see in a mystery basket on Chopped. It's a foodie treasure hunt. This is a destination grocery for those who get excited about specialty ingredients and finishing touches. The kind of place where inspiration strikes as you walk the aisles. Service had a bit of a stutter in the past, but on this visit, the team felt present and back on their game. Bottom line: not the biggest or best Fresh Market, but absolutely fits the bill if you know what you're looking for or are on the hunt for something unusual.

When a male employee finally approached, he didn't greet us and simply said, "You were next?" When I asked about the $5 pizza pie on Tuesdays, his response was "What about it?" He gave minimal answers, didn't take my name, and told me to come back in 10 minutes. His attitude made it clear he didn't want to be there. At the register, I realized I had left my money in the car and asked if the next customer could be charged so I wouldn't hold up the line. The cashier refused, saying a manager override was needed but the manager couldn't come out because they were busy in the office. When I mentioned the poor service at the bistro, I was told they were understaffed. Overall, the staff attitudes were unpleasant and unhelpful. This is disappointing, especially compared to the Pembroke Pines location, which is consistently friendly. I won't be returning to this location.

Doris, You're Beautiful... but My Wallet is in Witness Protection…read more If Whole Foods and an Italian grandma had a love child, it would be Doris Italian Market & Bakery in Coral Springs. The place is gorgeous -- like, "I suddenly care about the proper marbling of a ribeye" gorgeous. You walk in and instantly feel fancier, even if you showed up in gym shorts. Everything here screams quality. The produce looks like it just finished a spa retreat. The deli and meat counters? Absolute showstoppers. The bakery? Let's just say if carbs are a sin, I'm ready for eternal damnation. They bake everything in-house, and you can taste the pride (and probably a little buttered joy) in every bite. I came in hunting for a very specific treasure: Vidalia Onion Salad Dressing. I'd bought it here before, and it ruined me for all others. It's got this onion flavor that doesn't overpower -- it just whispers sweet nothings to your taste buds. Publix versions tried to compete, but they're like off-brand perfume: close, but not quite date-night material. Was it $7 a bottle? Yes. Did I still buy two? Also yes. Because once you've had this dressing, you start thinking $7 is a small price to pay for happiness in liquid form. Now, let's talk prices overall. Doris isn't cheap. If you tried to do all your grocery shopping here, your checking account might file for bankruptcy protection. But you get what you pay for -- and in this case, you're paying for quality, presentation, and a faint whiff of "old-world Italian pride." Five stars for the food and quality, four overall because you won't find every everyday item you need... but for meats, fish, deli, and bakery? Doris is absolutely worth it.
