My first time at an Aldi! A friend told me about this discount grocery/goods store and I had to come check it out myself. While I'm usually not one to browse grocery stores in my free time, Aldi's has a lot more than food. They're like Trader Joe's in that they have a lot of their own grocery brands and the inventory is always changing. Unlike TJ's however, they also have two aisles devoted specifically to random goods that are only available for a specific amount of time. When I visited, I saw pet toys, Halloween decor, children's books, and legos, among other things. Many are popular brands (like Harry Potter or Disney) and heavily discounted. If you're looking for something specific though, Aldi's is probably not the place for you. I like hunting for bargains and had a lot of fun checking out the things in this store. It was clean, organized, and the staff were all really friendly (much like TJ's). The parking lot was spacious and it wasn't crowded. I'm looking forward to when this chain finally makes its way to NorCal!

    Ask the Community - ALDI

    Is there self check out?

The Cashier will ring everything up and put your purchased items into an adjacent cart, then you have to bag everything up yourself. I have not seen any self check-out stations at the ALDI in Chino.

This looked like a big ol' farm store and from the second I saw it, I was pretty darn excited. This large store features ample parking, tables outside, and a petting zoo that didn't actually have any animals, but maybe they were just inside. The shop itself is full of baked goods, clothing, drinks, and literally everything else you can usually find at a farm style store. I was super tempted to pick up a bunch of chocolate when walking around, but since it was pretty hot outside I had to settle for the farms own Orange Juice and a big fat rice crispy treat with chocolate and pretzel on top. The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I really liked the two things I picked up and I can definitely see stopping back here the next time i'm in Pomona!

I stumbled upon this excellent veggie stand while shopping for chicken and eggs at Maust's Egg Farm…read moresince they are located on site. The veggies at Ian's stand are grown locally and are excellent quality. I was impressed with the variety and have loved everything I've been cooking! I bought some radishes bc I love to snack on them whole and plain - and they have been just delicious. I also bought a giant carrot and some green summer squash to throw in a soup - but I ended up making the squash as a side dish to go with my roasted chicken. That squash was incredible! Such flavor and so soft - infinitely more flavorful (and huge) than any of the same type I've gotten at the grocery stores.  I've been using the giant carrot and cucumber I got in salads and they're also so flavorful and delicious. I used the onion and garlic in my roast chicken and made mashed potatoes with some yellow potatoes from Ians - all fantastic. I'm blown away by just how much more intense the flavors are as opposed to veggies from Ralphs I usually get. The staff were so friendly and their prices were exceptionally reasonable - I paid $10 for my whole haul so I'll definitely be stocking up on veggies from here anytime I'm making a chicken run at Maust's farm lol! Ian's farm stand is located right next to the petting zoo on Maust's property and is easy to find. There's plenty of parking on site as well - it's unpaved but in excellent condition so no issues there. Highly recommend veggies from Ian's stand!

Always Fresh fruit, never disappointed. The strawberries are always so good. A must try.read more
