If you've ever wondered to yourself, "What the fuck is Aldi?" Let me tell you. If I had to sum it up, it's a cross of Fresh & Easy, Big Lot's and the 99 cents Store. I walked in and walked out. You can't shop all of your groceries there, so what's the point? It's an awkward set up to say the least. Good prices for beer and drinks, but I wouldn't interrupt my regular routine with Walmart and Samsclub across the street. Aldi can kick rocks all the way back to Germany. read more

I don't do all my grocery shopping at Aldi's, but they are definitely on my shopping list. Lower prices is the major draw here. The cashiers do double job as stockers, so the cashier's line is often closed, but once you step up to the register, the stocker stops what he/she is doing and become the cashier, quick as a wink. Anytime you ask them for help, they get right to it. Their cashiers are lightning fast, I mean they can scan 15-20 items in seconds before you even get a chance to open your grocery bag and start bagging. If you like name brand corn beef hash, try their Brookdale brand at $1.49 instead of $2.29 or so at Winco. They taste identical. Their dozen taco shells are 99cts, and their refried beans are cheaper, both taste no different than national brands. They often times have medium-size avocados for 29cts to 39cts. Sales on packaged luncheon meat are often close to expiration sale date...a great deal if you eat it all within a few days, so always check the expiration date, but great if you are a starving college student on a Top Ramen diet. Bought a couple of large packs of beef flap steaks on sale for $2.99/lb, very tender and tasty after grilling. Sometimes, when the veggies and fruits go on sale, they clear out the wilted and overripe stuff first and then refill it with the fresh stuff. The store and the lines are never crowded, but there is constant traffic going in and out. The aisle are roomy. If you don't get a weekly ad, just go on line. They sell all kinds of other stuff you don't expect to see in a regular grocery store. The store is very clean. If you love German noodles, they carry dried spaetzle from Germany. Their frozen section is constantly changing and full of surprises. read more

I love Aldi! This company does a great job of keeping costs low for customers with their cart return & over all simplicity of their stores. Their selections are great & they have many healthy options for a lot less than many other whole food & organic stores. read more

Really disappointed at the frozen meal selection. I ran in there really quick on my lunch hour to check it out. I figured it's organic, should beat any fast food joint. Their frozen meal selection had only two choices for microwaveable dinners & like 10 different frozen pizza selections. No pre made meals like sandwiches or wraps. Really!!! The place reminded me of Fresh & Easy, for those of you that can remember that place. They went up everywhere really quick & went out of buisness within a few years. I can see this happening to this establishment as well. So got what I could for a quick lunch, than the check out was ridiculous, cashier sitting in a chair to check out your selection. I could understand if he was hurt or had a disability but he didn't. Talk about weird policy to have all cashiers sit when they ring you up. Must be nice to make minimum wage sitting on your butt. What happened to the term hard work equals a pay check! Overall just no customer service or employees really offering to help you navigate thru the store. No wonder why I chose to shop at Von's! Decent discount grocery store. It's nice/clean/organized, but it's also new so of course it's nice, hopefully stays that's way. Most items are reasonably priced and I think on the cheaper side compared to most stores, however most products are their generic brand and the name brand items they have tend to be priced higher. Only reason to lose a star is that you have to put a quarter in to get your cart and return it to the front of the store to get your quarter back ( it's kind of a pain, so bring a quarter!). Also they don't provide grocery bags so bring your own or I assume you have to pay for them (we had our own). It's worth checking out! read more

Today is the grand opening of this store. I got a coupon in the mail of spending $40 and get $10 off. It's really a good deal. The store is not too big, about a size of Trader Joes, and I got a free recycle shopping bag from the staff and interestingly, they save staff by asking you to deposit a quarter in the shopping cart and when return the cart in place, you get your quarter back. Prices of the grocery are really good, some items are even cheaper than Costco or about the same price, such as Organic eggs. They have a splash on September coupons, the buy $40 get $10 off will last the whole month as I checked out and got the coupons again. I like this store being smaller, and everything is easy to find, I have planned out what to buy in September, so I will definitely shop my grocery here. read more

I tried Aldi for the first time. I reach for a cart in the area where the carts are stored--and pull with all my might. I give up after three seconds and walk into the store. I ask a fellow customer how she got a cart. That's when I learned of one of the dumbest ideas to hit the supermarket scene--25cents to rent a cart. I didn't even have a quarter on me and never would have even thought I would need one to use a cart to shop in store. My first time at an Aldi and what an annoying first impression this cart issue is. I ended up finding a loose cart and proceeded through the store. I found the store to have very few selections and was out of the store quickly. I've seen enough. I'll never return to Aldi. read more

This market was an ok experience for me. Not much selection, but their organic products were a good price. Not everything in the store is organic tho. I dislike going to the market and not find everything I need. I didn't understand it. The cashier was a bit lazy and seemed to be on autopilot. Cashiers sit on a chair while ringing you up, although they might be more comfortable it just seems a little unprofessional in my opinion. Lastly, you cannot take the carts outside. I had my baby and a stroller also. I had to cram all my groceries in the stroller to get the groceries to mu car. No one there to offer assistance. When I came home, I checked out my recipe. I found the cashier Lorraine charged me large eggs twice. I only purchased one box of large eggs. One box of large egg only $0.68 and I don't want to go back and talk to the cashier about the problem. I just feel bad and I won't go there to shop again. Maybe that was one mistake. This is the worst place to shop. Bad service, unavailable merchandise ALL the time. I was looking for some asparagus and ask the cashier if they have more since none was on the floor, she told me that they re bringing them out from the back now, so I told her, I ll wait at the back, and I waited, and waited until somebody came out from the back but has chicken instead, I ask her about the asparagus and told me that they re out. I told her that somebody could have told me instead of making me wait, she answered that she s the only person in the back and couldn t do everything. I went back to the cashier and told me "Oh yeah" I am sorry, were out. Come back tomorrow morning." with this kind of merchandise availability and the uncaring service, this store will close soon. OH, by the way, you can not call the store too to check for availability, she said the store has "No Phone". can you believe that? read more

first off im responding to all the 1star reviews. Aldis is Trader joes you know. aldis owns trader. i guess the cart thing is a deal breaker for some. if you didnt bring a cart in you cant take one out and get the quarter. why do people make a big deal about the cart thing? the "OFF BRANDS" all mostly organic or little artificial additives. the brands are foreign and thats why you never hears of them. the store isnt going to have everything you need, its a small shopping and its a quick in and out place. all the brands taste better than known american brands. the checkers are given a seat to use so its easier on their back and when there not ringing people up there stocking shelves. i always see the checkers sweating. when your done paying just push your cart out to your car and bag there. makes it real easy. AND YOU GET YOUR QUARTER BACK OKAY when you return it. my wife and I love this place. we save 40-50% on groceries. people just dont get the german way of doing business. if theyre oit of something theyll raincheck it and CALL YOU when they get it in. read more
