Nice, clean, well-stocked store. Actually, the nicest Aldi I've been to in awhile based on variety and selection. I was especially impressed by the produce and fresh meat/poultry/fish area. Organic and grass fed protein selections are good here. Atlantic salmon on cedar plank is restaurant grade. This will be my new preferred location.

This store is making progress as over a month ago there were few options due to some kind of company restructuring and distribution changes. Today it was well stocked with their "usual" produce, cheese, breads, wines, freezer and seasonal items. There are half a dozen self-service kiosk checkout options which is nice. My only complaints are: -some items listed in the weekly fliers were not available -they are lacking adequate bags(to purchase)to place your purchased goods in to the home -there are not enough baskets or shopping carts available.

This is one of the best grocery stores in the area I have visited. They had everything we needed, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable. The meat and dairy were clean and well-stacked

It should be noted that is both a review of this Aldi location and Aldi in general. I have been to a few Aldi locations around Chicago, including this particular location. I was last here doing some weekend grocery shopping. First, let's discuss the positives. The store is well lit and has wide isles. You can Move around the store fairly easy. The main positives are the prices. They are some great deals to had here. Certain items have even better prices than Costco (without having to buy in bulk). For example, at the time I visited, avocados cost $.65 each verses $1.00 each at Costco (you have a bag of six at Costco). Also, almond milk was about $.30 less here verses Costco (you have to buy a pack of three at Costco). There are many other great deals to be found. Now, I will discuss the negatives. The parking garage is very narrow, hard to get into and difficult to maneuver around. Next, the selection of food and brands are limited, especially in the area of fresh meat and chicken. Also, some of the deals here are not that great. The limited food selection makes it hard to do a full shopping here. While the off the brand items are typically just as good as the brand name, some are not. For example the frozen breaded chicken patties are cheap, but each party is much smaller than the brand name you could buy elsewhere. Next, efficiencies where poor at the check out. At the time I went, they only have two check out lanes open and the check out was slow and each line was long. Overall, this is a great place to get a few good deals on some specific items. It's not a great a place for a full and complete food shopping.

Aldi is great. They have good price points and options for everything you could need with a different brand name.

Is this store open? I went yesterday at 5:30 and it was closed.

Hello...they are open until 9pm each night. Sometimes from outside it looks dark inside...but they are still open. I hope that this helps?

Even though, I have been having weird reactions/food sensitivities to some ingredients lately that make my belly not so happy and brain (I'll get headaches and feel pretty weak all over and shaky), but they're food is very tasty and affordable. It's also really well stocked and organized though they do get extremely busy and trying to manuver my way around the aisles can be a bit challenging. Nonetheless, I went yesterday more towards closing time, and similar to Fresh Market, they are very understanding and they don't like push you out or anything. They will let you shop literally until closing time. I also appreciated how they had security go up and down the aisles as well. I wanted to give a shout out to a cashier named Andy who was very patient, kind, and friendly. A smile goes a long way and sometimes a smile can cheer someone up and his friendly, congenial nature made my day. He was also very helpful though I wish they would give the the TJ's cashiers chairs to sit on because they have to stand stationary in one spot the whole day for who knows how many hours. I feel for people that have to be on their feet all day, but what I appreciated was the fact that even though it was cloaing time he still treated me as I was a guest that he just greeted early in the morning at the atart of the day. I like to recognize those who put extra effort forth and he deserved it so I hope his manager can recognize that. Overall, I think Trader Joe's has an excellent product(s) on their hands and is a well run machine which speaks to administration at the top and how they wish to have their stores nationwide managed. I do wish there was one closer though, but it's not thag bad of a walk and there is always a bus one can take as well. Plus walking is good for you, or good exercise...I just believe in giving credit where credit is due and it's pretty amazing because everytime I go there is always someone restocking the shelves and they work so fast and so diligently too. Like yesterday there was a woman stocking packaged salads (though I do enjoy salads, it's not my go to when I am super hungry) but man was so fast and efficient. Same for this other guy in the Asian inspired foods aisles, like he was making sure that the freshest items were at the top of each stock pile. I was truly impressed. I am sad that I missed out on the Trader Joe's tote bag sale, but hopefully there'll be another one:) I do wish they were a bit bigger in size though because then you could use them as bags to shop with while there at the store and it's good marketing for them, like how Aldi has this giant recycable tote bag...I wish Trader Joe's did the same....maybe one day‍ Also they have really lovely peonies available now. Flowers make me happy

With this size, there is an excellent variety of goodies to buy. I don't just mean across categories, but also within them. For example, there are several vendors selling meats, cheeses, fruits/veggies, hot sauces, and so on. Speaking of variety, it seems that vendors change on occasion - a good reason to get something that I like rather than putting it off, and to come back again and again. This may partially explain why there is no map available. I don't know what happens on the back-end, as the only map I could find was from 2021. As nice as walking around and exploring is, having a guide of some kind would be very helpful. This becomes doubly valuable considering some vendors are selling prepared foods. On that note, some more eating areas would be welcome. The prices are on the high side, as can be expected from a Farmer's Market. That said, $4/pound for albeit organic potatoes seems very high. Thankfully for my wallet, I did not arrive hungry, or I would have thrown dollars to the wind. Final verdict: As far as Farmer's Markets go, Green City Market is great! You can find a wonderful variety, and every week can be a new adventure. Prices are very high, but that is to be expected. While the idea is that you buy something, there is no obligation to. Would return?: Absolutely, leaving room for breakfast or lunch, depending on when I go Would reccomend?: Yes, for the adventure if nothing else. Who knows, you might walk out with a jar of honey you loved after sampling.

While walking around, I kept smelling something really good and basically followed the scent until I found the Baked Cheese Haus booth. Soon as I saw them scraping all that melted cheese over the sandwiches, I already knew I was getting one. I went with the Jambon Cru. Melted raclette scraped over cured ham on toasted baguette with spring onions, baby gherkins, and Dijon. And wow... this thing was a cheesy overload. So much melted cheese, rich, creamy, and warm. The baguette was toasted with that nice crunch, sturdy enough to hold all of it together. Then the gherkins and Dijon came in and cut through all that richness with a little tang and sharpness, which made every bite better. Messy, cheesy, a little ridiculous honestly. The whole market has such a fun vibe too. Busy, lots of people walking around, fresh produce everywhere, live energy all around. The people at the booth were super friendly too. Now I'm seriously about to go to Wisconsin just to find them again.
