It's a very friendly store and all the staff are very willing to help you. There is a large selection of helpful foods both frozen and fresh and the pasta is for example are only one dollar each. You can get a lot of frozen food that you can eat at home directly with your microwave or your air fryer so you don't have to do much work and it's very multicultural And the ingredients are usually a little better than your local grocery items. There's free parking here for two hours with validation. It's also nestled next to HomeGoods and Buffalo wild wings. read more

This is probably my favorite Trader Joe's in the City. The store is always clean and usually in stock. The parking entrance is found behind the store, where you will drive up a ramp. The store is typically busy on the weekends, but I am still able to find parking and get in and out of the store in a reasonable amount of time. Staff is friendly. read more

Love Trader's Joe but this parking lot is bonkers. If you can park on the street it maybe worth it. I do like that parking is free and you can access both Aldi's and Trader Joe's in this plaza. This TJ has all the items that most TJ's have. I would say that smaller than the one in Lakeview. Overall, I got to grab all my favorites. TJ is best for spices, and dried fruit. This is the closest Trader Joe's to our son's place in University Village and we've shopped here many times in the past year. Trader Joe's knows what they are doing and they do it very well. The employees are fast, efficient, and courteous. This TJ's is like all the others, and that's a plus! Dependable and we never have any issues. They do have a parking garage, but I'd almost rather park on the street. The garage has a traffic coordinator - that's necessary! A steep narrow grade up and out, so you need a 'cop' to make sure the coast is clear. But it's free parking! read more

This Trader Joe's is a local place to shop for me. I frequent this establishment often times once a week or two. Extra points for the Aldi's downstairs. The staff are always friendly and I love how we make small talk every time I check out. I know that's part of the job but still. Not every Trader Joe's is as friendly! They always have what I need and I appreciate the indoor parking as well. Sometimes it does get crowded based on the time and day you go but I've never had a huge issue with finding parking. read more

This is the Trader Joe's I was shopping in when I found out bananas now cost $0.23 each instead of $0.19. Momentarily I thought it was because I was in a different state, but then I realized nope, the price of food is going up everywhere. Trader Joe's is usually one of my first stops when I get into town. On the list: sparkling water, 1.5-liter bottled spring water, nuts of some kind, & the aforementioned pricier bananas. I'm not the healthiest eater, but I try to sprinkle in hydration, protein, & some kind of fruit when I travel. Great location, shelves were fully stocked, cashiers were welcoming & had a good sense of humor about my banana sticker shock. Be careful going up the ramp leading into their parking lot; there was an attendant directing traffic as it's a tight one-way situation but if he isn't there, be mindful that a car may be exiting while you're trying to enter. read more

Normally everyone here is super kind and helpful. I came on a busy Monday night and I asked a woman stocking the produce where I could find spinach. Her reply? It's right in front of your face. Gave me a dirty look and walked away.. now, was it right infront of me? Yes. But she was stocking the items so I couldn't get close enough to see. This is my favorite grocery store. Things are priced just right. I prefer getting fresh cut flowers from here because of the price and the quality. The produce is of great quality as well. Do try their salad kits which are delicious. They also have ready to eat meal kits. Some of the favorite things to pick up from this grocery store are juices, coconut water, fresh produce, ready to eat salad kits, frozen Indian food, canned fizzy juices, potted plants. Also they have an amazing customer service, the staff is great, super nice and helpful. Have had the same experience in every Trader Joe's store I have been to. This Trader Joe's location is a hidden gem as it is hidden on the second floor with the parking entrance in the rear on a narrow sloop where one-way traffic is controlled with a stop sign on the top. Once in the parking lot you will need to be careful and navigate thru numerous pillars to find your spot to park. If you made it thru this far, the fun will begin in the store where you shop your favorite TJ delights. There is not a person sanitizing the carts, but you are able to self-clean with supplied sanitized wipes. I enjoy the layout at this location where to me it is compressed with less travel to get all my goodies for the day. I recommend this TJ as it is adventurous from the cavernous-like parking lot. read more

I came by to pick up the elusive Trader Joe's felt wool garland not available at my local TJ's (no fault of theirs!) or another in the area that I called. This store assured me they had a ton left and that I didn't need to put any on reserve until my arrival. They were right! I appreciated the transparency! I hadn't been to this location before, so wasn't quite sure how parking works. As of January 2021, if you park on the main level that you're directed to when following signs for Trader Joe's (upper), parking is always free. No tickets to take, no validation needed. However, if that's full and you park on the lower level I believe, which is shared with other businesses, you'll need to take a ticket AND get it validated in the store. Good to know before you go! Parking was super easy and the spots weren't overly cramped or anything...granted I went midday on a weekday. Staff was all masked up, everyone was friendly, and there is an area for waiting when the store is busier to keep everyone safe. Nice thing is that it isn't fully outside - it's in an open air garage (great if it's raining). Layout is similar to all previous TJ's I've visited, but this location also had a new Cuban spice I was searching for at another location, woo hoo! I accidently left something in my cart after I checked out so I had to run back over. The woman who helped me early was so nice. Did I mention last week the woman at my register checked my eggs to make sure they weren't broken? They have a lot of great Gluten free items. Whatever their secret is they need to be bottling it. At the beginning of the pandemic TJ's was the only grocery store that did socially distanced grocery shopping right from the get-go. From the way they hand you a sanitized cart to their checking out process. It makes waiting in line more bearable knowing they're trying to keep you safe. If you don't want to wait in line weekdays before noon are definitely the best time to go. I like taking a break between work meetings to head to TJ's and discover what new stuff they have. Their seasonal stuff is always fun to try. Some of my faves recently (old and new): Hold the cone, kung-pao chicken (I actually like this better than the fan fave mandarin chicken because it's easier to make), frozen hash browns (perfection in the air fryer), Cotton candy grapes and Gummy bear grapes (cheaper than you'll find at Whole Foods), everything but the bagel seasoning, spicy chakri mix, cauliflower gnocchi (air fryer!), apple fruit snacks, jalapeño cheddar corn puffs, cassava coconut tortilla chips, and on and on. read more

I'm a regular customer of this branch. Three weeks ago I purchased and hoarded squid ink pasta because it was new and I was excited. Sadly I tried it twice and it didn't taste anywhere near squid and it was soggy way before its cooking time. I already threw the receipt and I thought I would just return the remaining pasta whether they refunded me or not. Long story short, there were no questions asked and they even refunded me for all the noodles without the receipt. That is excellent customer service and I am a grateful and appreciate the courtesy of being a loyal customer Just like any other Trader Joe's, this one is as lively and filled with everything you need. From the essential groceries to seasonal unique flavors, TJ's got it all. Sometimes I crave going into TJ's just for kicks because it's down the street and I always find more than I need so I guess it's somewhat a dangerous but fun place to do groceries. Love their snacks, love their dairy, love their meats, love their frozen foods, love their cheap wines to have "personal bottle nights". I even drop by sometimes to get their Cold Pressed Greens when I feel like I'm still death from the previous night! Even though this Trader Joe's DO run out of things (like once, they were missing onions???), it's not their fault it gets so crowded and popular being in a busy part of downtown! It is somewhat of a hidden gem because as obvious as it is that there is a Trader Joe's in this corner with the windows saying it's TJ's, the entrance is around the corner inside the parking lot. Just GRATEFUL there's a Trader Joe's around this area because I don't know what I would do without all their TJ classics (actually, I do, I'd make my friends from the west coast ship me the goods). read more

Trader Joe's has the best snacks, refrigerated foods and wine selection. Although I still prefer the traditional grocery store for essentials, I've discovered many TJ exclusive items or TJ branded versions of popular foods, and my favorite part is that they're reasonably priced. The large frozen foods selection covers every ethnic cuisine. In my opinion, they've nailed the Indian food, Soup Dumplings, French Onion Soup, and Scallion Pancakes. I find them comparable or better tasting than other imported options in the market. Recently, I've found that they even have stroopwafels that look and taste exactly like Daelman's! You'll also find everything you need for snacking in the chocolate, cookies and chips department - I've actually made a conscious effort to avoid those items, because I just can't help myself eating everything. It also seems like they're constantly innovating and adapting to current trends. This is a great location, and although I dislike the steep ramp to parking, it beats having no parking! read more

Frustrating shopping experience! Just 2 hours after opening the whole store is littered in boxes & dollies and Trader Joe workers trying to stock shelves. Now, maybe, there was a run on the whole store in the 1st 2 hours of business on a Monday...but I highly doubt it. YOU STOCK YOUR SHELVES AT NIGHT OR IN THE MORNING BEFORE THE STORE OPENS!!! This isn't that difficult! Instead of effortlessly getting a gallon of milk or some juice I'm having to work around Trader Joe's workers screaming "I need 4 more Kombuchas in Lemon Ginger - stat" & rearranging the yogurts, and counting how many kale smoothies are left and yelling back for more. Given the "not so bargain prices" I'm paying, I'd expect a better shopping experience. Maybe revert to an Aldi's model and just leave everything in boxes and let people ransack through the crap.... I'll be going to a different Trader Joe's next time....hopefully less BO as well! read more

This location is fantastic. I've made it my local shop! I think the options are excellent and they pretty much have everything you need. Although one thing I would like to see more of is lamb and turkey- they don't have as many options as other grocery stores. The wine and beer selection is amazing lots of options for you! Coming here is always nice, easy to find products that are Earth friendly. The staff is always friendly and approachable. The parking can be a bit tight to get into and out of since it is a sharp turn. The store is is on the second floor just so you know, if you get here without a car , you can walk up the stairs in front of the building or take the elevator that is by Aldi, next door. They will give you paper bags or take your own to save the planet. I often come to buy my organic products here and they've always been of good quality. They also have a good selection of wine as well as other liquor and beer. I also like their pastries and snacks so give them a try. Oh and this last time I tried a kettle popcorn and we enjoyed it as well. will keep coming back read more

Awkwardly located. Cool that it sits in a building just 1 floor above Aldi which you enter on the street level. The elevator takes you too the second floor to access TJ but it's totally off-putting that once the door opens you in the middle of a garage. What the.... Oh TJ's. How you take me back, waaaay back to my childhood. I used to clean the floors overnight at the Pacific Beach San Diego store. Part of the job was a bonus lunch of any microwavable TJ item. I was absolutely hooked early! Trader Joes is just great. Consistently true to their core values and culture (even though they could have jockeyed to take on Whole Foods before Amazon had to save them from themselves!) I don't currently live with a Trader Joes within about 400 miles, willing to go a long way for my TJ fix, even if I need to check an extra bag! read more

I go out of my way to grocery shop here when I can. They have a parking lot and the friendliest employees. But beware if you go midday on the weekends. It can get so insanely busy and they run out of items. But the staff does it's best to keep everything stocked. This location is slightly smaller than most of the other TJs I've been to but they manage to fit in all the products. I came to buy the ingredients of Chop suey because I want to cook it for our family dinner. My mom and dad love veggies so I need to cook them. So I came here this morning and there were few people inside. I grabbed a cart and went to the veggies section. I started to grab veggies including broccoli, cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, cauliflower and celery. All of it looks fresh. After that I purchased condiments. I bought garlic, oyster sauce and onion. I didn't buy any other ingredients since I had them in my kitchen. Then I went to the meat and seafood section. I purchased a kilo of whole meat and a shrimp. I've been coming to this location for years and everyone is super friendly and for the most part it's usually fully stocked. A few of our favorites to buy at TJ's is the ground turkey for $2.99 where other places charge $6.99 as well as lettuce for $2.99. Their snacks and wine selection is also on point as well. Avoid this location on Sunday mid-morning and afternoon because it's a madhouse! Parking is also terrible, like many TJ locations, which is why I removed a star. read more

This TJ was Excellent! The staff was friendly, it wasn't as busy as the other location I've been too, and the selection had a lot of the same, but also some different items. There is a lift for the second floor and the parking garage is huge with all the flowers set up for purchase right outside the front door. The snack set up was good- they had spicy hummus on crackers so the counter worker gave my son some graham crackers instead :) At the checkout counter there is a treasure chest with lollipops for the kids and my son loves it :) We will be back read more

This used to be my nearest Trader Joe's until I moved closer to the Lincoln Ave. location. I was in the area and thought I would check up on things. I showed up Friday afternoon when the place was pretty empty. There were no lines. As I'm checking out, the tall blonde mohawked cashier ringing me up makes a reference to tell me that I can start bagging, ya know. WTF? Really! I was taken back. I still am. The way he said it and his tone of voice did not sit well with me. Do I work there? Am I going to get half your pay check? I may as well just ring my self up while I'm at it. Just open self-checkouts if this is the new policy and I'll gladly oblige. Not to sound entitled but straight up, I'm not a good bag-boy. I lack the skill and speed that most TJ employees have mastered with their Tetris-esque stacking abilities. I did my best to throw all my canned goods in one single brown bag. I love TJ's, especially this location. I'm not the only one apparently because it's always crowded. My one complaint is the fool who designed the parking garage - for a newer structure couldn't you fashion an entrance where 2 cars could enter/exit without the possibility of a head on collision? As someone who drives stick I dread the man on the stool telling me to stop just as I near the top of the incline! Back to the store. What's not to love about TJ's? The food is awesome!! Some of my favorites include the fresh salsa (comes in hot & mid, but can be mixed together to make medium), which is has a pico de gallo consistency. I love it alone, with my kick ass taco dip or when I make chili (saves me the hassle of dicing tomatoes, peppers and onions). The baked mac & cheese (frozen food aisle) is to die for, it puts Stouffer's to shame. Let's not forget the $2 chuck, you can't beat the price for good wine. As a chocoholic I love the chocolate selection at the check out aisle. My favorite is the Dark Chocolate with Hazelnuts by Ritter Sport; I'm not sure what's sporty about chocolate, but I'm not complaining. I could go on and on, but I won't otherwise my favorites would be out of stock every time I went :) Love this place and it's satisfaction guarantee! The staff's really friendly here too. read more

Everyone knows that Trader Joe's is COOL!!! There products rock and taste good...the orange chicken is out of this world and also happens to be there number one seller. There is no High Fructose Corn Syrup in any Trader Joe Branded products! While all of the other stores are NOW carrying brands with no HFCS....Trader Joe has been caring about its customers for years!!! Parking can get real crazy on the weekend. I highly recommend you park in the basement by Crate and Barrel and Aldi...Trader Joe will validate your ticket. Fun shopping for kids too...there is a small cart for the kids and they can also search for the hidden mascot and if they find him they get a treat. It has been a while since we found it here but we recently found the cow hiding at the downtown location. Another great product that we recently discovered is the shrimp cocktail sauce. Wow is it good!!! And that is it...I am not giving away any more of my favorite products here because I want to make sure they are stocked on the shelf when I get back. I am obsessed with Trader Joes. My favorite grocery store. This is a great location. A vast selection of produce, cereals (granola, oatmeal, fancy cereals included), nut butters & jams, pasta, dressing, coffee, TEA, sides, prepared food, beverages, everything. I think this is one of the most reasonably priced grocery stores out there, especially for the quality of the products. 19 cent bananas, 2-3 dollar healthy cereals, 3-4 dollar peanut butter. Best almond milk I've ever tried (the blue carton of unsweetened vanilla and the red carton of sweetened regular are always in my refrigerator). Barbara's shredded oat cereal, TJ raspberry/strawberry jam, almond butter, frozen berries, vegan chicken strips, granola, chips, eggplant hummus... some of my favorite products.
