Well stocked store, lots of options. Found some great seasonal items. Shaneece checked me out and was friendly and helpful.

I like finding new Aldi locations. This one has adequate parking. Some items were more expensive than Hyattsville & Takoma Park. The produce section was decent. Aldi has several brands that produce cereal, "healthy living items, snacks and breads. The store was clean and organized. I still prefer Takoma Park and some VA locations, but this is worth a visit. read more

I came here at around 12:30pm and there were quite a few customers shopping here. Usually mid-day you wouldn't see so many customers shopping inside of a grocery store. I didn't particularly like this store that much for several reasons. There's literally trash everywhere. And what annoys me ev3n more is that there is a whole aisle with both sides stocked with stupid items. An entire section is devoted to only planter pots for flowers and small tress. Seriously? How about installing an actual bakery to replace this wasted space? I'm no grocery store expert, but one would think that they could sell more bakery items or deli meats, instead of ridiculous weed puller tools and glass vases. I was hoping to pick-up a prepared delivery sandwich, or even a si gle muffin to eat for lunch. They have nothing like that at this store. And they o ly sell 6 packs of pre-made muffi s. Nothing fresh from the deli here. I settled on a inexpensive pack of provolone cheese. read more

Grocery chain that has all the needed stuff plus some unique items. Less expensive than many other chains

I tried this aldi near me, and got disappointed multiple times. Not gonna go back. In January the freezers for the hams were hot, pork is something you don't play with. Now a week ago I bought fruits from them and there's load of fruit flies in my kitchen. I had to throw away everything. Plus there salads weren't good. It lasts about 2 days in the fridge then it starts to get soggy when it's sealed. They expect us to pay high prices for low quality items. read more

This is actually the closest Aldi to my workplace. I use to think the one in Hyattsville was, until I passed this Aldi on the way to an off-site meeting. It is pretty much like all the others; it has all your staples, but at cheaper prices. Milk, cheese and butter are the things I buy most here. The produce is good. Sometimes you will find avocados for $0.89! You may have to wait several days for them to ripen though. I bought a pomegranate for $0.89. As far as the neighborhood, you may, like I did, have people approach you in the parking lot for money. I probably wouldn't come at night, but at 2pm it is A-OK. Bring a quarter for the cart (refunded when you put it back), and bags. They do sometimes have boxes for your purchases which you will see a lot of people carrying around this no thrills grocery store. read more

Tiny I really like this Aldi and shop here every two weeks. However most of the time they are completely out of fresh chicken wings. When they did return the packs are a little longer and maybe three more wings per pack. The price of the chicken wings has dramatically gone up and I cannot find a pack less than $11.00 or more. Since you are only getting about seven or eight wings for this price you have to go to your regular supermarket and buy the family pack of fourteen or sixteen wings. The other items like bananas are always over ripe or they go bad within two days. I have gotten to the point since bread and fruits goes bad fast I only buy certain items. Also please bring back the paper plates I cannot find them and it does not matter what time of day early morning or afternoon you cannot finds items you need making you go to other retailers. In any case I will still shop there for certain items and cut my visits. Price makes the difference on my budget for a family of four. Maybe I might change the location when shopping at Aldi. I have heard good things about other locations like Bowie. read more

I love this Aldi third on my list. It is VERY busy because of its location all times if the day. Its never a lot of people but a constant stream with the people buying loads of groceries at one time especially on payday. One thing that annoys me about this location is the way they make everyone stand outside all hours of the day. Someone from corporate needs to evaluate this site again and determine if standing outside is that important. It ends up enabling large crowds to gather which is prohibited. It would be better to allow people in and give them a 20-30 minute time limit which is self monitored. Other than the long lines..... this store is well stocked with a good variety of nicely priced foods. It also seems to stay stocked considering the large amount of people who pass through it. read more

Shopped here yesterday since we were in the area after church. Based off other reviews, must've come on a well stocked day! They had everything I needed even feminine products in stock! I also appreciated their variety of cheeses that I have not personally seen at the Aldi in oxon hill or temple hills Md. Another nice detail I noticed were they left their boxes out in a large cart for easy access while at others they take it in the back and for those who prefer to go bagless we have to save the boxes in our cars. Its probably obvious i do not like to carry boxes back and forth out of a store if i can help it! As an Aldi fan, i keep a quarter in my armrest stand. My children call it the Aldi coin as i ask them to grab it at each visit. :) This grocery chain is still the most economically friendly while still offering a with a wider selection of gluten free, organic and produce on this side of town. They many times beat walmart and always outdo Price Rite and Save A lot. The only thing I would love to see is more sustainably caught seafood and produce naming where they come from. Acknowledging the local farms and resources is a good touch. read more

The good thing about Aldi are the prices - they are pretty hard to beat. Now, if you talk about this particular Aldi, there are some cons to coming here. First off, there are times when I can't buy vegetables or fruits here because they are either on the verge of spoiling or just aren't fresh enough. Second, I always buy water packs here and out of 5 times (for example), it is likely that 4 times they won't have water packs of any kind in stock. The parking is spacious, but it is a slanted parking lot. All in all, low prices, but they need to keep their produce fresh and items in stock. read more

Giant has a problem with their weekly ad. I depend on weekly ad so I can go ahead and figure out my budget. They have a problem with this. Every time you look at it they are working on it. I have only ordered from giant four times in the past year. Because you are quote on quote still working on your issue. That leaves people suspicious. And they really do not want to order from you. What is behind not having the ad out? Makes them think you just want them to go ahead and start shopping and spend money they don't have. All of these suspicious people. I am one of them. I went to the store in Landover. I was very uoset with the service there. The cashier rung up items on my receipt that I Didn't purchase. I feel that she was dishonest. I wanted to buy minced turkey but the size I wanted was not on the aisle. An employee was stocking the meat aisle and I asked her whether she has the one i needed.She told me it will take 15 minutes to get to it. Came back to the same aisle and the meat was still in the cart. I asked her again she murmured something and started rearranging the meat aisle. Just got frustrated and decided not to buy. That's not how I want to spend my hard earned money. I would rather go to the one in bowie which has better customer service. T read more

Check your receipt! Went to this location after the Annapolis Rd. location was out of Purified Water bottles that were on sale for $1.69. Noticed none of the items in the sales flyer had the sales prices on them but figured they would come up at the register. They came up as $2.29 and the cashier claimed that she didn't even know they had sales! She even asked me if I had a flyer because she never knew they had flyers. I called to report the issue to their customer service line and they said they would talk to the district manger. In the meantime I spoke to a store manager who gave me the sales price when I complained. read more

Now from my experience I don't know if this is how all Aldis look or just this one in particular seeing how it's my first visit but the store looks quite cheap along with the product inside. But my biggest complaint is the staff. ALWAYS short staffed cashiers. Love Aldi. Prices are great. Produce is a hit or miss. Fruits will be too ripe or not ripe enough. Always crowded never enough lines. The only thing I'm kind of iffy about is their ground beef. It has that "is this stuff real?" look to it. Other than that, the staff is friendly. Its one cashier who yells at people in her line, especially if they are not moving quick enough or if they don't speak good english. I am always in another line looking, waiting for my chance to get yelled at. There will be a shouting match. Other than that come to Aldi, and get your money's worth. I've saved so much money since this Aldi opened! I love shopping there. The staff is so friendly and there are so careful to open up a register if there are 3 or more people in line. Aldi is the only store I need for 90% of my groceries. I do wish they had a few more regular items, then I could totally ditch the longer drive to the full service grocery store. What you can expect here: great prices on stuff like produce, milk, cheese, berries, pasta, frozen foods, and even some organic items. What you can't find, but I wish you could: fresh herbs, Dr. Pepper, coconut milk. I guess they can't stock everything and keep the prices down, but with just a few more things I'd be in grocery heaven! read more

Ok so I decided to try this location because I hate the parking lot at the other location on Annapolis Rd. First thing I noticed was some guy outside begging for people's cart return quarters. I go inside and notice the produce section. The prices were unbelievable but the fruits and veggies looked terrible. I specifically went to buy the 1 pound beef hotdogs I had at a friend's cookout. They were out just like the other location was - I hope this doesn't mean they are no longer stocking them - they are great! Got into line and then maybe 3 or 4 people got in line behind me. An employee named Sha-something or other went to open another line and told a young man she was flirting with that another line was opening. Hold it. I was the next person in line! The people behind me and I had been waiting longer and she picks this guy out to go first in the next line? What? I stated loudly that there was a line full of people who had waited longer. She said "oh he was closest". Another cashier took over and "Sha" came back to her line. I stood in her line just so I could tell her what she did was wrong. The ladies behind me agreed. She sat there saying she was new so she didn't know. I told her that didn't fly and asked for the manager she said she didn't know where he was. Right. The lady behind me proceeded to straighten her out. She got an earful! I left the store only to find the begging guy still there. I went to unload my groceries then took the cart back. He greeted me and asked for my quarter. This grown, able bodied, young man watched me struggle with unloading my groceries and dealing with my son - didn't offer assistance and thought he was going to get money from me? It was a sad experience for me at their Landover MD store. I was there on the 9th of April to get flavored water and a small paper bag totaling $8 but unfortunately for me I did not bother to check my receipt. I was going through my account some days later and discovered they charged me $20 more. I was back at the store yesterday to see the manager but she was not even willing to proffer any solution or show any form of empathy.
