Aside from the really friendly guy who works in the produce department, I don't love this location…read more The produce is decent here and I'd say better than the Lusby location quality wise. They seem to take their time making sure the produce they put out is fresh. They do have pretty decent sales and the self checkout is easy to use. The aisles are laid out really bizarrely- the milk is stored in a random aisle and not on the outer edge of the stories like in most locations. I tried placing an online deli order through their app with a 30 pickup time window and waited, and waited, and waited for a text that my meat and cheese was ready until the end of the window. By this time I was completely done with my shopping and still nothing so I went to the deli counter to ask and they hadn't started preparing my order or even noticed that it had been placed. They tried to start on it then but then they realized they didn't even have two of the meats that I had ordered in stock, so they directed me to the already packaged meats in the deli. No thanks, if I wanted pre-packaged meat I wouldn't have tried to order fresh from them. This is the second Giant location where this has happened to me so I don't really see the point of 1) offering the service of ordering online to save time when in reality it takes longer than just waiting in line at the counter to order and 2) letting people places orders for things that aren't even in stock.

Unfortunately, a lot. This was our first time coming to a…read moredemo class and we were very disappointed. We came for the paella. We were looking forward to seeing how it is authentically made. First thing was... No paella pan! Really? Apparently it went on vacation with the Chef. Shame on her. If you have a class coming for paella, you get another paella pan. These classes are not inexpensive. As far as authenticity went, the chef went off script on several different steps we were looking for authentic and we got impromptu. I felt very bad for the Chef who was doing the demo. He was really trying to do a great job considering the circumstances. I do not hold him accountable. Except for maybe the dessert, which was sickening sweet. Could not take more than two bites That being said, we had a lovely time lovely people. The staff was very friendly. We just simply did not get what we paid for.

Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Price…read more I was really looking forward to the Asian Dumplings Cooking Class, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The class started over 30 minutes late and ran long, which caused me to be late for my next commitment. More importantly, it wasn't truly a cooking class; it was a demonstration. Most of us simply watched, while a few lucky participants were invited to roll and seal one dumpling each. There was no hands-on learning, no guidance, and no opportunity to build skills. To make matters worse, I was seated near the back, where I couldn't see the main table well. The viewing monitor wasn't zoomed in enough to be helpful, and loud conversations around me made it hard to hear the instructor. Reserved seating was allowed, so although I arrived early, I was unable to sit in several empty front-row seats because they were being held for friends who arrived much later. The food itself was underwhelming and bland, lacking in authentic flavor, and not worth the wait. Two of the dumpling varieties used store-bought wrappers, and portions were small. The sauces were forgettable, and the pace of serving was slow, leaving us with lots of waiting and very little to enjoy. We weren't even given recipes to take home, which, after tasting the food, I wasn't too disappointed about. At $100 per ticket, I expected an interactive, educational experience with quality food and better organization. Unfortunately, I left without learning any new skills, still hungry, and feeling like I wasted both time and money. I would not recommend this class. On a good note the staff were very friendly and accommodating, but I won't be back.

Ever just have a horrible experience at a Walmart where it just reinforces your displeasure for the…read morecompany? Well let me tell you a tale. I came in here in hopes of picking up a few items I knew I wouldn't find elsewhere. With that, I also browsed. I found the items that I wanted and continued to shop for other things. I went from department to department, jumped into the clearance section, and just continued to browse to see if there was anything I might finally grab. After grabbing everything I needed and few things I wanted, it was off to the races. By that I mean entering the gauntlet that is the registers. This was the only Walmart that I had come to where the registers were sequestered from the rest of the store where everyone is funneled into. Then the associates that work this area yell to direct you where to go. Then they act as if you are an idiot using their machines. It's one thing to assume that people don't know how to use them, but it's another when there are mistakes made by the company. I had grabbed a Brita from the shelves in hardware because the price was too good to pass up. I doubled checked the shelves just to make sure that this just wasn't misplaced, there were several more in the area. I should have taken a picture of this as it came back to bite me later. I scanned the Brita last since it was the biggest item and wouldn't fit in the bag with the other items I grabbed. When I rang it up, the price was $20 more than listed on the shelf. I asked the associate nearest to me about it and at first she just brushed me off and indicated that I needed to pay that price. I told her that the price on the shelf was marked at $19.98. She questioned me as to where it was. I told her, hardware department, top shelf as you walk in the aisle with others of the same items right next to it. I told her the price was listed and this is where she basically called me an idiot. Her words, "The price tag is beneath the item, not on top of it." I looked her dead in the eye and said, "You don't say, this is especially true if the item is on the top shelf." Then she said I needed to pay full price. I then reiterated that there were more than one of the same exact item in the same spot. She kind of stood there and thought that if she stared me down I would shut up, buy the item, and leave the store. Then when I hit her with the fact that I used to work for Walmart some years ago she backed down. She then took off to the hardware department to check the item. I should have known something was up for as long as it took her to come back, and this is where I realized I should have taken a picture while I was there, but with full hands it was hard to do. She came back with a picture of the shelf, where she obviously moved the items around. The shelf was perfectly zoned with the items moved around to different locations. She felt so proud to have showed me that picture. Like a toddler thinking they won a fight. Then she told me that she could only give me 10% off, as if to placate me to get me out of the store. I told her to get it off my transaction so I could get out of there. She did, all while her coworker looked on as if to be her backup. What's even worse was after I had finished up and paid and was walking out she was at the customer service desk gloating what she just did. Horrible people equals a horrible experience. Then to do their survey is even worse. They make one attempt to contact you and never follow up.

We stopped at the bakery section and I decided to get ONE of their doughnuts. I reached in with the wax paper to get ONE. As I already had the ONE doughnut in my hand; I looked around for a bag to place it in. I noticed that they DID NOT have any. They only had the large boxes for a dozen and half a dozen. So instead of placing it in and wasting one of the boxes or putting it back on the shelve (GERMS) I just kept it in my hand and carried it. The security guard was standing right be side me when I said to my wife they DONT have any bags. The security guard even saw me looking for a bag as she was only two feet away. So as I walked away I took a bite of it! The security guard was such a ridiculously lame loser; she ran over to me as I walked away toward the ice cream and said you have to pay for that. I said yeah I am and I know but they DONT have any bags and that's why I'm walking towards the check out. Mind you I'm still in the back of the store by the seafood display. She said yeah I know another person just did the same thing. Get some bags out there so you don't have to run up to people telling them they have to pay for something that they can't even put in a bag. The doughnut was only .99 cents. I always shop at the commissary. I don't recommend shoppers. I was walking around the store with a doughnut in wax paper because they didn't have any bags. I took a bite of it and the dumb security guard ran up to me saying they have cameras you have to pay for that. PUT SOME BAGS OUT! The security guard even said yeah I know they don't have any bags the same thing just happened a few minutes ago. I could have put it back but my hands were already on it. I could have even thrown it in the garbage. But I took a bite of it as I was heading towards the ice cream and going to the checkout. Also I'm well over 50 and a disabled veteran...what did the security guard think I was going to do...take a bite of a doughnut and run out of the store. If you know there are no bags put some out there or a sign so people don't have to walk around the store with a doughnut in their hand. She literally acknowledged the fact that she knew there were no bags.

First off the cashier (Tniya) didn't even greet us. Lastly she didn't say thank you or anything for that matter. So my gf called her rude, cashier said what did I do?
