Yay, more than one check out line on a Friday,!
Lily B.

This is going to be my Friday mid afternoon store. Clean, quiet and well stocked! Sane parking lot. Very friendly staff. I was actually stopped by a staffer and asked if I needed any help! Well alright! They have all the regular stuff you find at an Aldi's. Wine section might be a tad smaller, but they usually produce, many organic options everywhere. The odd Aldi Finds. But it was quiet, clean, stock and sane on Friday at 3 pm. Now the checkout person said the storm hits at 5 on Fridays but other Aldi's are often already a bit crazy by now. Happy shopper. Great prices and tons of sanity!

Cheap prices on meats

If you enjoy cooking meats (chicken, pork, beef steak, hot dog, bacon) and you do not like dropping $ on it, then you need to go to Aldi's. I bought seven pounds of chicken, pound of steak, pound of pork, 20 slices of bacon, two packages of Nathan's hot dogs for under $34. While it doesn't have the best produce aisle, you can find all other food essentials for a ridiculously low price. If you are a chocolate addict, make Aldi your supplier.

Ever since we heard Aldi was moving into the Del Ray hood where the old crappy Giant was, we were thrilled! The store is actually quite nice for an Aldi (we lived near one in Chicago), and has everything you expect a basic grocery store to have. Keep in mind that most of the stuff here is private label, like Trader Joe's so they stock only a few national brands. That said, the prices are extremely cheap if you buy their private label brands. You can get a bottle of their generic Srircha sauce for like $2.35, when I bought a bottle recently for $4.50 at Whole Foods.

Every register displays a "do not sell" sticker for alcohol that expired on December 31, 2018. So they've missed three cycles of replacements. Great way to send a message to customers that you're not paying attention - and make them wonder what else is being overlooked.

Well let me tell you, the quality is superb. They have amazing service and a great selection of other speciality item such as Greek olive oils, snacks and local honey. This is a wonderful addition to Del Ray - please support them!!

They claim to source from local suppliers when possible and their beef is humanely and pasture-raised. They also prepare fresh sausage, weekly. Also available here is food for animals, smoked meats, animal fat for cooking, and grill products. The prices are a bit steep considering the meat is some of the highest quality you can get without having access to a local farm or raising and butchering your own livestock. The customer service is friendly. I do recommend researching and having knowledge of the specific cut of meat you desire before going to this butcher or any butcher for that matter. Butchers have a tendency to recommend alternatives when they are out of a specific cut. Many times they are spot on, but for the seemingly uneducated it can be an opportunity for bad businesses to offload a lesser or expiring cut for as much if not more expensive. On one visit I wanted boneless short rib and the butcher here appropriately recommended Denver cut which is the alternate name for this cut. A novice might not know this. Overall a good experience. I'll visit again when in the area.
