The meat is tasty and definitely good quality meat. The veggies were super fresh. However the burger to veggie equation was way too far on the veggie side. Also at $16 it is way too small. I think if the doubled the size of the patty or just did a double patty they would have a good thing going. At it current size and price though I couldn't recommend. zi got fries with it and they were very good. The service was very good. Alan seemed to enjoy his job and it showed in his service. overall sadly it is only a 3 star review. The atmosphere and small size of meat vs price. Plus the place was just really loud. My burger was huge and juicy and nicely cooked. The tots were interesting - they are housemade and reminded me of arancini. Very good, but not what I was expecting. I had a bite of Nate's sandwich which was kind of a loaded reuben, with bacon, haystack onions, smoked gouda, etc. Yum! Our server was really kind and service was great even though it was busy. Our host explained that the tables were full at the moment, predicting a table would be ready within 15 minutes. We agreed and headed to the bar. As we were getting settled there a table opened up and we brought our drinks from the bar to the table (Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay, $15; White Claw ($5) and a Bombay Sapphire ($10), all subject to a 3.5% surcharge, which is never actually explained, so we can't tell if the server gets to share in the benefit of the surcharge or whether he or she gets nothing from the charge. I assumed the restaurant was not sharing this money with the service staff, so I tipped as though she was not a beneficiary of the charge. Service both at the bar and at our table was great. I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip ($22.00, thinly sliced prime rib topped with melted white cheddar and au jus. Served on a toasted hoagie bun with fries). The meal was presented with less than a 20-minute wait, totally in line with the venue. Our server was observant (she kept our water glasses full) and helpful. Since the sandwich was pretty substantial, I was able to box up half plus the leftover fries, making a great lunch the next day. Our lunches arrived a few minutes later and well done would have been an under characterization of how much these burgers were cooked. They certainly didn't taste any better. My "plain" burger was loaded with onions and lettuce that I had to pick off. No attention to detail. Also To be fair, if I was at a friends BBQ and was served a burger of this calibre, I would say nothing and simply enjoy the time with friends. At a restaurant however, this is unacceptable. Halfway through our lunch, our server asked how everything was and offered to remake everything. We declined just wanting to finish and leave. Two positives, our drinks were quickly refilled and the view was nice. I think I learned something here-don't chase deals. I would have gladly paid much more for a perfectly cooked burger.
