A buddy "found" this course recently so we decided to try it on a Thursday at 7:50am. Staff was…read morevery friendly. The course was surprisingly busy for a weekday. A little too busy. Lawn mowers while we try to tee off. In the fairways, on the tees etc. I guess that's what you get for trying to get out early! The course itself was beautifully manicured and the tees were level. Like others noted, the front nine was much "friendlier" and the back was more of a challenge. Had the olive burger and it was fantastic. Here's the ugly....not a rake to be found and the most unkept bunkers ever. When I inquired about it I was told that the younger generation doesn't use them (takes) and so they won't be provided. Maybe I'm old school, but bunkers are a part of golf, and just because some don't take care of them doesn't mean others won't. It also certainly doesn't release the club from starting each day with them well manicured. That's part of what I feel I pay for. All that said would I go back? I would, but I think I'd smuggle a rake on the course, and clean it up along the way!

Many private golf clubs now offer public dining in their restaurants. My club is no exception. The…read moreconcept seems to work well. I received an email from Railside Golf Club for a "Burger Wednesday" special. We figured, "why not" and drove across town to try a new restaurant for us. We were quickly seated at a table with a nice view of the golf course. Our drink orders were quickly taken and we ordered our burgers-medium rare as always. Our lunches arrived a few minutes later and well done would have been an under characterization of how much these burgers were cooked. They certainly didn't taste any better. My "plain" burger was loaded with onions and lettuce that I had to pick off. No attention to detail. Also To be fair, if I was at a friends BBQ and was served a burger of this calibre, I would say nothing and simply enjoy the time with friends. At a restaurant however, this is unacceptable. Halfway through our lunch, our server asked how everything was and offered to remake everything. We declined just wanting to finish and leave. Two positives, our drinks were quickly refilled and the view was nice. I think I learned something here-don't chase deals. I would have gladly paid much more for a perfectly cooked burger.

My review is about the pool, definitely not a pool to go to if you want a relaxing time. Has turned…read moremore into a pool for kids. They told me that nothing that inflates is allowed in the pool and then two day later I was told no adult swimming devices (only pool noodles) because there was a problem last year where kids couldn't swim in the deep end because it was filled with adults. Which makes me question... is this only for kids now?? I think it's not fair for the adults who want to come to the pool and float around in the deep end (which kids don't typically swim in anyways!). Outrages honestly, especially since employees are telling people different things. Everyone needs to get on the same page, and I know I'm not the only one upset at no floating devices for adults.
