My friend played 9 holes and I drove the cart. Stay in the cart path or your cart will deactivate like mine did. Fortunately the nice man from the clubhouse clued me in to the sensors on the cart. The golf carts are nice too because they have ball washers in the cart! I'm not a huge golfer but that seemed like a nice touch. Basic clubhouse. Honestly I really enjoyed the course. We saw deer in the middle of the day and the course is very well maintained.

Tee boxes are destroyed as markers are never moved and damaged areas are left unrepaired. The fairways and greens are burned up and diseased. Filthy carts and ball washers that are all dry with the rare expedition of a random few that have some kind of liquid in them you don't want to touch that smells like a combination of roadkill and feet. Improvements made to the business (the Loft) seem to be at the expense of maintaining the golf course. Unfortunately, feedback to management seems to be falling on deaf ears as conditions have continuously got worse the last several years. I want to like this place but they have unfortunately lost my business until things improve or pricing is inline with the experience.

Lawn mowers while we try to tee off. In the fairways, on the tees etc. I guess that's what you get for trying to get out early! The course itself was beautifully manicured and the tees were level. Like others noted, the front nine was much "friendlier" and the back was more of a challenge. Had the olive burger and it was fantastic. Here's the ugly....not a rake to be found and the most unkept bunkers ever. When I inquired about it I was told that the younger generation doesn't use them (takes) and so they won't be provided. Maybe I'm old school, but bunkers are a part of golf, and just because some don't take care of them doesn't mean others won't. It also certainly doesn't release the club from starting each day with them well manicured. That's part of what I feel I pay for. All that said would I go back? I would, but I think I'd smuggle a rake on the course, and clean it up along the way!

You don't feel like you're rubbing elbows with other golfers at adjacent holes. A plus side to this course is the wildlife. It was only $30 for the round + cart, which seems really reasonable to me (although I don't play often so I could be wrong). I bought some golf balls in the shop for $20. You can rent golf clubs as well. Since it was so early we didn't partake in any beverages, but they have lots of options for you to take out on the course with you. The guy who rang up our purchases also said the food at the restaurant is really good. The menu sounded tasty so I'd be interested in trying the food next time. The course seemed pretty decently kept for the most part, but some areas of grass were a little sad. I personally don't care about that but I know some golfers can be particular. It took us about 2 hours to play the back 9 and I had a great time. I will definitely come back to this golf course in the future. It seems like a pretty relaxed place for a very non-serious golfer like me.

Fun holes, good variety. Fair pricing for a round of golf and a cart. The only downside is that the holes are a lot of down and back so you can see multiple holes at a time. But they did what they could with the space they had. Good driving range. I did not eat any of the food, but will update when we try it out.

The course is super wet; well, it's rained 3 of the last six days... nothing is getting in The way of having a fun, relaxing day golfing with friends. Nothing but lawnmowers. One in particular. He saw us and kept on mowing until he found a satisfactory place to stop. This happened on 4 different holes! The same guy! It was really annoying, especially when he ran over one of our balls. But, the thing that made me vow to never return was when I was coming up to chip onto the green and he stopped his mower between me and the flag. I waited, staring holes into him and nothing. I raised my hands and shrugged my shoulders, he did the same back to me. I did it again and waved my hand in a "move" signal. This guy gives me the come-on signal!!!! I wanted to just pick my ball up and drive back to Okemos right then and there. I was furious. Never again Morrison Lake.
