This course is a bit out of the way but I like the layout and the condition is generally good. Some narrow fairways and the greens are challenging for me! Pricing seems in line with other places. The woman working the bar yesterday (5/9/26) was very helpful and pleasant. The food selection is VERY limited to hot dog or brat and the brat was boiled.....a quick grill would be a huge improvement. The clubhouse is very modest for a pretty nice course. The cart paths are desperately in need of repair and in a few locations I would say they are hazardous. read more

The course has a nice layout and the grass short. That is about the only good things I can say about this place. Management is a disaster. Repetitive double booking of tee times. Golf carts often not charged to start the round. Their staff, Michael specifically, is rude and lazy. They have raised the price of golf due to "global tension", which seems like another reason to squeeze every cent out of loyal paying customers. All in all I would stay away from this course until they can figure things out. read more

Yikes this is the worst - we called a week ahead to ask if they could accommodate our group; got told YES THEY COULD. Come day of we drove 30 minutes to enjoy 9 with our dad and got told they no longer could make the accommodation. Instead of taking responsibility they messed up they told my husband his pregnant wife could walk. Also would like to note the man that offered to bring my husband's clubs to the cart was a sweetheart. I hope he finds a better golf course to work for because this place isn't it. Went there a few times this year and last. Course is nice, but the management is terrible. Bar staff is the only friendly staff there. Workers and the manager seem to be put out by doing their job. Manager clearly displays he doesn't like his job and either sulks around or gets an attitude with the patrons. Played multiple times where they let groups 6 or 8 go golfing together and other times where they allowed toddlers play on the course. Never seen a sole out there trying to move the game play. Final straw was last week with a 6 hour golf experience. Understand that they had a frost delay but they piled up on the back 9 and when we made the turn, they allowed a new group of 6 to tee off in front of us. Consistently poorly management, might give them another chance if I hear the management changes but I will avoid at all cost until then. read more

The GPS on the carts suck. Your cart randomly shuts off and you have to push your cart!

Great Course, fair price. Michael needs to be fired. After two calls to replaces a touchy and sensitive golf cart; Michael told us to wait again up to 20 minutes and to be patient as he was too busy to bring out another cart. He ruined a great day. read more

Not impressed. This is the only corse I've ever been to where they have charged us for our 8 year old coming with us. The pathways are garbage. The potholes and broken pavement are dangerous. The bartender was very nice when we ordered some pop. However we felt harassed out on the corse by the man who worked at the front desk. Very uptight grounds staff. read more

I thought this was a really great course. One of the Top five courses I have played this year. While the pace was slow I really enjoyed the course. The greens and the fairways were well-maintained and the course was challenging yet not extremely difficult. I will definitely play this course again. read more

This Golf club is beautiful and well maintained. The grounds include pristine bunkers in a gorgeous environment. In addition to golfing the course, we recently attended an event at the golf club and were incredibly impressed with the staff and hospitality. We had the chance to speak with the Manager and found him to be very down-to-earth and easy to work with. He was professional and assured that things were taken care of. The food and drinks were great with fair pricing. The carts, grounds, clubhouse, and bathrooms are all clean and well maintained. We will be back! ~McHenry's. read more

Never playing here ever again. Avoid this place at all costs. Take your money elsewhere. The staff and management that run this course are a complete joke. And now reading other reviews saying the exact same thing, I know we just didn't catch them on an off day. I've been golfing all my life and have never had worst customer service. Our group arrived to the course at 7:30am for our 8:00am tee time. We were the first cars in the parking lot (first red flag). The clubhouse wasn't open or unlocked yet. 15 minutes later a car pulls in and it's the front desk staff who's a guy in his 20's - assuming it's the GM's son. We go inside to pay at the front desk only to be welcomed by him accusing us of having outside beers in our bags and threatening us that he'll dump them out if he sees them. I've never even heard of this happening before. A few of us go buy 6-packs from him at the bar while others wait at the front desk to pay. So he's working the front desk and the bar. Yikes. From there on, things seemed okay until the turn... where he crossed the line. "Hey guys! Got some bad news!" he said. He then started grabbing and shaking all the cans in the cart and followed that up with patting down our golf bags checking for beers. I can't even make this up. This dude shook us down for beers WHILE GUYS FROM OUR GROUP WERE WAITING FOR HIM AT THE BAR TO BUY BEER FROM THE COURSE. Insane and embarrassed that we took our group to this place. We will never play here again simply because of his actions. Read other reviews on here and multiple people have had the same thing happen to them. What a disgrace. read more

Beautiful course, well maintained and the greens and fairways were pure. Gotta learn how to control your ball in the wind which makes for a really good test. Outstanding course for its price, would definitely recommend playing this course. read more

Really nice course. Interesting green complexes, which were big and mildly sloping. Staff were very friendly. Driving range was turf mat on the tee but it could open to grass in the summer, don't know. Back nine has more narrow holes and a bit more elevation change. And the rates are worth it for the course. read more

I bought two Hot deal rounds from Golf Now and the golf course would not honor them, because they don't get credit. The course charged us $90 on top of the $78 already spent online. Poor customer service and the course is not worth the full price they charged us. read more

Great course but slow golfers. Had only played 11 holes after 3 1/2 hours and decided to bag it. The course was so backed up that we were afraid we would not be able to make it off the course before dark. read more

As a golfer looking to improve in many locations of my game I find this course a fun tight challenging course that is great, it forces you to hit better and more precise shots to lower your scores, but also has a cetain level of forgivness. Beautiful looking, gray layout, and fun to play. It's a must play for any golfer. read more

BEWARE; my personal experience is that This company doesn't protect the public from debris flying off their course. Nor make right damage when it is done. They just pocket the greens fees. Management doesn't respond to messages, phone calls, visits or letters. They believe they have no legal, moral or ethical need to pay for damages caused by their paying customers and inflicted upon the uncompensated public. Drive near them at your own risk. Not sure about their "pricing. ". My golf partner and I went in today and presented to a ......two-for-one entertainment book coupon ....(cart not included/and even then they said it would be $28 .."apiece but................... the so-called " senior special rate " would "only" ...be $27 each. I guess neither one of us really expected that kind of a "pricing...shock". Well we were there so we went ahead and paid in my estimation/opinion" an exorbitant price " and we both agreed that we would not go back because even with or without a Two for one coupon/ cart not included coupon there preowned pricing seem rather high even compared to some of the other elite golf clubs/courses around the area. Last but not least they lost in the future business with us and I would not recommend it as a course to go and play to any of my golfing friends. As I recall in times past we also ran into a similar situation at a golf course that used to be in existence in the Sparta area that also offered a two for one coupon but when you got there actually the coupon did didn't seem to help any so I'm wondering if word got out that one way to get you into the course is to have a coupon out there but when you actually get into the golf course it actually does you no good as ours was the case today when we tried to use one but I opted for the senior rate which was a dollar cheaper. read more

Father's Day, 6 people, a few from out of town. End of the day and the course was very slow. Two people did not have a collared shirt and it is not on the web site as necessary. They turned us away?!? Ok, guess there was no need for them to make a few hundred dollars of additional revenue for the day. read more

Horrible customer service. "Michael (the manager" was horrible. First time at this course and bear in mind I am not a pro golfer but I am here for a bachelor party. We are slow to play but those behind us who apparently play faster entered false claims on our timing to management. Management directly implied that while we all paid the same money to play ours was not as important as those playing behind us. Then the "manager" proceeded to tell us to either "play faster or he'd call the sherif to escort us off the course. Completely unacceptable treatment by a "manager" of any business establishment. This will be my first and last time at this course. This manager should be fired immediately before I (or anyone I know) will return to this course. Unacceptable people...unacceptable!! At the end of the session Michael's inability as a manager, as a human being to address our questions but simply threaten our party are unacceptable. He needs to be removed from this establishment. read more

Wonderful fun course! We were in the Grand Rapids area for a golf weekend and decided to try this place. It was a pleasant surprise. The pace of play was great. The course had some challenging holes, and was in nice shape. Scenic with lots of woods. Being out on a fairway, not rushed and not waiting, listening to the birds chirping.... this is what golf should be. I will definitely return when I'm in the area! read more

The course is nice, now if they would just train their staff. I tried to book several different tee times on line, but was unsuccessful. I called the course, and they offered to book it over the phone. I explained that I was hoping to take advantage of the on line special rates. Anyway, when we arrived the young man remembered the phone conversation, and gladly set me up on the agreed tee time at full price for 18 holes. I explained that I wanted the 9 hole rate that I tried to book on line, and he then charged me full going rate for 9 holes. I can't believe they expect to keep customers treating them this way.
