I had the privilege of working with both Dr. Devon Bhaduri and Angela Kiefer, and the combination of their care created such a meaningful and restorative experience for me. I worked with Dr. Bhaduri for a couple of years, and she helped me tremendously with plantar fasciitis, circulation issues (both physical and energetic), and bringing my nervous system into greater balance. She is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and attentive. Devon always took the time to explain what she was doing and why, which made every treatment feel comfortable, intentional, and supportive. I also had the pleasure of working with Angela Kiefer for both shiatsu and reiki sessions, and both were phenomenal. Angela has a deeply grounding presence and a beautiful way of creating space for relaxation, release, and reconnection. The combination of Devon's acupuncture followed by Angela's bodywork felt like a perfect complement -- each treatment building on the other in a way that supported my overall sense of well-being. Together, their work helped me restore mobility, agility, flexibility, and what feels like a renewed sense of vitality. Went to Michelle for viral issues. Like another reviewer said, there is definitely something off about her personality. She seems oddly cold, unreceptive, which is a real detriment in working with anyone. The real issue though was she lacked basic knowledge of Chinese medicine. After 'diagnosing' me she had to walk out of the room and consult her book to see what she should do for me. That's a bit of a joke. If you're applying cookie-cutter treatments based on what must be equally superficial pulse and tongue evaluation, you're a student, not a practitioner. At the end of the session I asked for Gan Mao Ling, which is an incredibly basic formula, perhaps one of the most well-known and popular in all of Chinese medicine. It helps clear heat, etc. She didn't know what it was, she didn't have it in stock, and she tried to sell me something else. Here's the best part. Before she tried to sell me something else, she again had to consult 'her book' to find out the information. Lady, I can just go to Google and order things myself if that's the best you can offer. Now because Im genuinely interested and was trying to establish some camaraderie, I walked up to where she was reviewing her book and leaned in to view the book as well. She gave me such a look, like what the f do you think you're doing? Jeez. She is very cold, odd, and unknowledgeable. Ive been to maybe 10+ acupuncturists in my life. Michelle, on the other hand, I honestly wouldnt even consider an acupuncturist and certainly not an herbalist. Ive never been to someone less skilled, less friendly, and more abrasive than her. Edit: In response to the owner's reply, how absolutely ridiculous to suggest such a detailed review isn't real. This is how you defend yourself? There's nothing to 'investigate', Michelle. This isn't some convoluted mystery: I went to your practice once, it was horrible, I reviewed the experience. Have you not consulted a book for herbal treatments in the past? What possible patient records would you be referencing? "Dear Diary, today we didnt have gan Mao ling and I used my herbal book to give this guy some other stuff." Yup, makes sense. I had a 10 min consult with Carrie, and then Michellie. During this I felt Michelle was extremely passive aggressive, psychologically manipulative (gaslighting), condescending, and very unwelcoming. I got off the phone feeling hurt, violated, and mistreated. It is very**** important to me, and the work in my opinion that we are a good fit. When Michelle got on the phone for a free 15 min consult, she had an overall vibe of like not wanting to answer my questions, seeming annoyed, and of passive aggressive put downs. Her response to a simple question with "I do not know what that means etc." but with a lot of attitude etc. I think it was after I asked my question and named the annoyance, she said "I know you had a consult with Carrie, we usually do not do another consult" -- First of all, I literally asked the front desk to book it, and no one said anything. -- Second, if that was the case, why would you get on the phone annoyed rather than canceling it? Like it just wrong to take out your frustration on someone looking for help, for a policy no one told them. When I told her, ok that is completely fine, we can totally get off the phone. She changed the subject but did tell my question was "unorthodox." I asked if she was sensitive. Overall, she felt actually very mean and made me feel like I was doing something wrong for having a service they offer. When I voiced, I felt uncomfortable, and that she clearly hurt my feelings etc, she said this is not talk therapy. *** Feeling hurt, uncomfortable etc is a completely****** normal response to the way she was treating me. The lack emotional awareness and any sort of acknowledgement of how she was treating me was crazy as a person in a healing profession. I feel like to not realize the harm is incredibly concerning. To me, it a clear violation of her oath to do no harm. There were clearly a lot of red flags to me, which is why I do a 15-minute consult, because that could have done much more harm. Someone who is in a healing position, should make you feel comfortable, and embody emotional awareness and accountability. Michelle truly did the opposite. Angel (front desk) was very nice. In response to Michelles response -- I would call her response lying, and continued manipulation. She is trying to make it seem like I asked her other questions - LITERALY JUST ASKED IF SHE SENSITIVE. I asked if she was sensitive. That is completely related to care as I am sensitive and need someone sensitive. If this made her uncomfortable, she could have said so kindly. (she did not) I also feel like she wants to ask you all these questions in a consult, but you cannot ask if she is sensitive (which is completely related to care) I really hope the person mentoring Michelle points out how inappropriate she has been. I've been getting acupuncture from Michelle and staff here for probably 10 years. They do an absolutely wonderful job. I had a major car accident years ago, and I also played football, and have injuries to my neck and back that flare up from time to time, and the solution is always a few sessions of acupuncture and cupping at Alchemy Acupuncture. As for the space itself, it's super clean and very comfortable. The rooms are tasteful and they have heated tables as well as heat lamps in case you get cold easily. The staff is very friendly and getting an appointment isn't too difficult. They don't have parking, but you can usually snag a metered spot in Division or Ashland within a block of the business. I can't recommend this business enough. Pro Tip: buy a package. They sell them is packs of 3, 5 or 10. You get a discount by doing so and you will definitely use them over time. read more

Michelle is an incredible accupuncturist. I have also been treated by Kinga as well, although not as regularly as Michelle. I have been seeing Michelle for 3 years now. Not only is Michelle knowledgeable and effective, but she is happy to teach and explain as well. She is so kind and compassionate. I started out skeptical of accupuncture but I have had the best experience. Michelle has helped me with my anxiety, fertiliy, nausea, pregnancy, and other issues. Accupuncture was the ONLY thing to finally help my pesky tennis elbow that just did not want to get better. The office is immaculately clean, bright, and calming.
