I have had hypothyroidism for nearly 20 years and I have medicated with Levothyorixine, prescribed…read moreby my general practitioner. Despite being at the correct dose (per *some* bloodwork), I was regularly cold, sometimes anxious, quick to go from not hungry to starving, and sometimes lethargic (despite living a very active lifestyle). After just two appointments with Dr. Simms and additional biometric (blood and saliva) testing, we both came to the conclusion that not only was I working against my thyroid by way of the foods that I was eating, but I was also suffering from iron and vitamin D deficiency. Additionally, I had moderate hormonal imbalances. These weren't far-fetched, non-Western conclusion, but founded in more accurate interpretations and more complete biometrics. The "prescription" was a variety of supplements to address deficiencies and excesses. I appreciate that Dr. Simms did not push me to buy the supplements offered at her clinic, as this would have been a turn-off for me. Through some research, I was able to meet my nutritional and supplements needs in an affordable way. I have not yet had my biometrics re-run, but I know that I am better off. I sleep better, feel better (mood and energy), am no longer cold, and more relaxed. I highly recommend arranging for a consultation with her and bring any existing blood work results to support your discussion. Though she was not covered by my insurance, she was well-worth the cost. And, I was able to pay for my bills with my medical savings account.

Our first appointment was virtual and I found her to be very attentive and engaging. She allowed ample time to discuss my concerns and objectives where my health was concerned. She was able to set up a protocol which included supplements, diet & exercise. Along the way, I have found her to be available to me for any questions and concerns that I may have had and has always replied in a very timely fashion. Today marks one month exactly since I've been on the regimen and I am so pleased to say that my symptoms have improved tremendously! She truly cares about helping her patients resolve their issues and attain optimal health. If you are in search of a highly qualified and knowledgeable doctor to address your WHOLE health, I strongly recommend Dr. Simms.

Where do I even begin?! My reviews tend to be long, and I could go on for days about Dr. Dan, so…read morelet me get to the important points. After 1 year of ER bills, MRI bills, medication, massages, chiropractic visits, pain, tears and weeks in bed, due to severe neck pain - with still NO answers, I was finally recommended to Dr. Dan. Dr. Dan believes in your body healing itself, but not in a herbal, essential oils kind of way. He manipulates, massages, stretches and exercises your body to encourage self healing. The hour appointments are wonderful and I looked forward to every visit as it made me feel 100 times better, almost immediately. Yes, Dr. Dan massages and cracks (as needed after a couple of visits to loosen up your muscles), but this is a great mix of all different kinds of healing strategies, which is what was most appealing to me. Yes, a massage feels good, but that is a temporary feeling. You will be taught things to do at home, at different times during the day to help with your pain. You will chat about your lifestyle and things you can do when sitting for long periods of time, or lots of walking, etc... I cannot express my appreciation for Dr. Dan. I was in 99 out of 10 pain when I walked in to Dr. Dan's office, and just after the first visit was I healed, NO, but I felt 200 times better, just after the first visit. I continued to see him for another 4 or so visits and I am now fully healed and back to myself, along with some great education, stretches and exercises to do when the pain begins to creep up again... (hopefully never again!) Oh and where was it left with the ER, to get a second MRI for another $2000 out of pocket, because the first one must not have been of the wrong area, ugh - glad I met Dr. Dan before wasting more money and tears! The office is beautiful, modern and clean and the entire staff is kind. Dr. Dan is extremely professional, one of the easiest people to talk to and will not talk if you do not feel like talking. Like my first visit as I was in extreme pain, I think I said a max of 5 words, by the last visit we were in full convo. You will feel quite comfortable and will likely fall asleep a time or 2 :) If you are here, I assume you are in some sort of pain and I hope you feel better very soon! (side streets on non permit parking until 6p and easy pay to park out front).

I first went in at a time where I was in chronic back pain and just at an overall low point in my mental and physical health. I truly felt at rock bottom. I scheduled an appointment with Ashley and was so amazed at the entire experience from day 1. From the initial check in at the front desk to meeting Ashley, it just felt like such a safe, welcoming space. With leas than 6 months of weekly treatment, my life was changed for the better. From needles, to cups, to Ashley's wonderful approach and listening, it been a complete 180 from my first visit. The treatments have been so healing. I am forever grateful and thankful for Ashley and Five Points. Truly a wonderful place to go. Since they've been in their new space, I have only seen the expansion of all the wonderful, healing potential of this amazing practice, their care, and their offerings. I do not hesitate to refer friends and family to Ashley and Five Points.
