I am a fan of this location. Cashiers are always friendly and helpful. The store itself to me is always clean and well stocked. Including the meat and bakery department which are my fave. Prices vary on items but for the most part comparable to other markets in general. Parking is usually decent. I love that their is a Starbucks inside. Close to home and I like that there are late store hours. This location i believe is open until 11 pm or midnight. I like the occasional store specials. read more

The only two redeeming qualities of this place are the ladies working at the check stands in the mornings and their seafood deals. Other than that, this Albertsons is a last resort on my grocery market list because the shopping experience here sucks. Their produce section looks amazing, it's nicely stocked and the produce looks super fresh. They never taste as good as they look though, strawberries are way sour, apples are bland, tomatoes are super mealy. Most of the people who work here look like they're angry all the time. If you ask them a simple question, they look super irritated and get huffy with you. Or, they have no idea if they have it even though they work in that specific department. How do you not know if you have something in stock? Don't you guys do inventory? It's really not that hard. Biggest offence? They took out self check out. I used to love this place because it was so easy to get your stuff and get out fast. Now it takes even longer to get out and sometimes the antisocial me really doesn't want to make awkward small talk. Plus, this place is so understaffed it's laughable. The lines get long because there's usually only one or two people working the check stands, constant holes in shelves because whoever was stocking it went to go work the check out stand, and no one at customer service. I usually do not have a problem buying groceries here but when customers are being DIRTY and not using common sense, that drives me batty. Saw an old man picking the fried chicken with HIS OWN HANDS at the self serve chicken station. Really ? Tongs were in each tray for our use and he could not use it? I wanted to tell him ," Sir , you can't do that and how do we know where your hands has been?" Unfortunately l did not report it to the mgr...wish l did ! I'll give this store 3 stars because they always have the things I need. They are however waaaay over priced and I'm always waiting in long lines, the express lane is always long. Literally every time I go there's extremely long lines. I've waited at the meat and seafood counter for extended periods of time as well. There's a man who works back there that is pretty upbeat and then the monotoned woman as well. Omg don't buy anything from the bakery. It's awful! Taste like cardboard or diabetic muffins, just bland. For the majority of stars here, it's convenient for me and they have an abundance of various foods. My favorite Albertsons the store is so well stocked. The deli is excellent and best service at the deli. Every time I come to this Albertsons the staff is so attentive and very helpful. Even the gentleman that was putting the shopping carts away in the parking lot. Best of all I do self check out and the woman that was helping when I had made a mistake on the scanning . Wow the check out lines here are slow and long! Frequently short staff in the check out, never fails. I live to blocks away but drive 2 miles away to Vons in laverne to avoid this place. Tons of products, this is like a hybrid version of a supermarket and drugstore, twice the options but half the staff........ want to shop here but the lines...... This A-sons, like them all, have a legit deli with really good quality cold cuts, salads, and delicious fried chicken. The family pack o chicken is a great deal. They also have a chicken wing bar, which is a little weird, but it works if you are in the mood for wings. You choose them yourself, so you can get the type you like best. Great produce too.... Huge selection. I don't like the bakery that much, though, its just Meh. Bread is soggy, the Italian and French loaves at Von's being far superior. There is a grumpy deli lady I sometimes have the displeasure of working with... But other than that, everyone's pretty nice in here. I don't normally shop here because on average I find Albertsons to be the most expensive grocery store of the big ones. But every once in awhile, when I'm in the area, I go. read more

A manager (I wish I got his name) was extremely nice & helps me walk thru the app to get my 'just for u' specials. Even refunded me $ & didn't make me feel stupid for doing it wrong. read more

What a mistake giving them another chance, i had no choice my elderly father likes their organic produce/organic salads. All good until guess when ?? Yep you got it the front checkouts at Disney land lines Albertson.. Some customers let my dad cut in line so he was waiting by the door. I was stuck behind 12 people just in the express line the other checkouts were about 5 deep with bigger orders. To make things worse i had cold items ice cream, waffels, salad bowls, plus an 80 year old man waiting who wears a medical device. The line was barely moving because of pricing issues i simply put everthing down and walked out for the last time done with this grocery chain. I know nobody cares its just a corporation crunching numbers, but look at how many Albertson, and Vons lovation have closed last several years!! read more

Albertsons is officially the worst large grocery chain I've been in. Besides their outrageous prices, the lines are long and the checkers make too many mistakes. I've been here every day the last three days getting an item or two since I live so close. If I didn't live two blocks away I would never come here. The incredibly smart top dogs at corporate thought it was a good idea to take away four self check outs and replace it with two express lanes (which often only one is open). Well guess what, that was a terrible idea. I've never seen such long lines as I've seen in the last few months. Tonight there were two express lanes and four regular lanes open. The express had nine people in line and all the others had six or more. They eventually called all available checkers to the front (pretty sure no one came). It took me 20 minutes from the minute I walked in the store to the minute I walked out. For ONE small tub of sour cream. Now here's the worst part...my sour cream was $1.99. I saw it come up on the computer so I handed her my $5 bill. I look up and see $3.98 but I just thought that was my change or something and wasn't really thinking about it. She handed me a $1 bill back and two pennies. It didn't seem like it was enough but I walked out before thinking. Well I got to my car and YES, she charged me for two. I wasn't going to go back in and hold everyone else up in line for her mistake and my $2 loss. When I was in there a few days ago another guy in line got charged and then complained after, saying he was overcharged. Their checkers either make LOTS of mistakes or they're adding on extra quantities hoping customers won't notice, to make an extra few bucks. Pretty shady how I handed her the $5 when it said $1.99 and next thing I know she's messing with the computer and I get double charged. Congrats Albertsons, you guys are terrible. read more

The store is clean and well stocked. But, I specifically went to this store, because I understood it had a bakery. Well, I went around the store and didn't see any bakery throughout the store. I asked an employee and she said in was in the left front corner of the store. So, I went there and only saw a deli. No cakes or pies - just a small display with some Angel Food cake. Whah-whahhh! I guess this store caters to the "healthy eaters"? Also, everything seems more expensive here and they didn't have any bags, when I went through self-checkout. So, I had to carry my stuff in a hand-basket and then return it to the store. I live in Kentucky and we don't have all these hassles. I was very disappointed when I went to the Albertsons in San Dimas and use the restroom. I couldn't help notice the graffiti on the wall. There was aIot of racist and homophobic comments. Not sure why the store manager has not made it a point to paint over it. There was no soap in the dispenser. The bathroom is really disgusting and is a really poor representation of what standards Albertson's has to run its store. read more

Ordered a cake for 9/11 went to pick it up no cake was ready for pick up. Set time for pick up was 12 and was told it would not be ready until 4. Spoke to a careless manager Liz who spoke pretty threatening to verify everything "I will check the cameras" gave her time stamps of EVERYTHING. Go check your cameras like you said to verify. For a manager to speak all big and bold and not go check it after being given time stamps. Could not apologize that maybe you store actually fucked up. As a manager show some type of care. I spent a half hour shopping then decided to pay self serve because they only had two cashier lines open and the lines were huge. So I scanned and bagged everything and went to insert my debit card and the system kicked it out. I waited several minutes for help to arrive and their response was that their system was down and I needed to pay cash. Sorry but with your high prices I don't carry that much cash. It seems they knew they were having this problem for a while but instead of posting a sign they verbally tell people in line. A lot of customers walked out without their groceries pretty upset including myself. If these markets want to reduce their staff shouldn't they have equipment and a system in place that works? Why doesn't Albertson's website have a number or email address posted to handle complaints? I gave two starts only because they are local. read more

In August of 2018 I bought fried chicken at the Albertsons deli and when my family was eating dinner my daughter found feathers sticking out of her chicken. I contacted Albertsons by email and informed them of my experience. I was contacted by several entities and got apologies and we will do everything in our power to prevent this from happening again. I waited four months and then decided to try the chicken again. I get home and my daughter cries that there is feathers in the chicken AGAIN! In disbelief I see that indeed there are feathers in the chicken. I contact Albertsons by email and inform them of this issue. I am contacted by Sedgwick Insurance who is investigating the case. Now the company line is that there will be feathers in the chicken from time to time. I've never had feathers in KFC or any other chicken. I asked the agent at Sedgwick how she would feel if her daughter was eating and found feathers sticking out of her food? The agent replied "she laughed", the agent went on to say her daughter has found feathers in her chicken before and laughed. Well, my daughter did not laugh. The store asked me to bring the chicken in which I did. No apologies or reimbursement this time, just blank faces like they are used to this scenario. I went over to the deli and sure enough I see a piece with feathers sticking out. Maybe some don't see chicken being cooked with feathers in them as a problem, certainly Albertsons sees no problem serving them, but this is something I did not encounter until buying fried chicken at Albertsons. The only thing worse than seeing these images is the pathetic response from Albertsons and their representatives. Albertsons let my family down and their customer service indicates that customer relations are not of a high importance. Shame on you Alberstsons! read more

Banana's!! That's why I'm writing this, but I just have to say this is the best grocery store in a 10 mile radius of San Dimas, and I've been to every single grocery store in the surrounding area. SMOOTHIES - I'm always making my work-out protein shakes, so I'm always buying banana's, frozen strawberries, blueberry's, and yogurt. BANANA'S - The banana's are more plentiful than most of the other locations, and they aren't under ripe... like the Von's on Footfhill. Who would've thought there would be a difference in Banana's!?? Oh, I also tried the red banana's and to me they tasted the same (or did it taste like chicken?... i'm jk), but I heard the best banana's are the red ones from Central America, I think?? (can't remember, but I heard a whole series on it, on NPR). YOGURT - I usually get a huge tub of low-fat yogurt, but this grocery store is the only one that offers a TUB of yogurt! The rest of the grocery stores just offer a smaller size that wouldn't last me more than three days.... WTH, yet I bet they offer butter and lard in super duper by the bucket o-plenty size, or potato chips in a feedbag. The only other market that can even compare is the new Vons up on Foothill for atmosphere, but that place is brand spanking new and it can't even compete on price vs. Albertsons. read more

I have to say since the new ownership the customer service at this location has improved. There are actually associates at eye sight to help (where were they before ) so the old owners own Albertsons again and looks like it is for the better. No more points cards because everyday offers are available to everyone. The store is always well stocked and nicely organized. The prices to me seem pretty competitive. Rarely is there a line at this location unless it is a holiday which happens at most stores. The store is a tad out dated and could use a good remodel or better lighting. Parking is easy to get in and out of and carts are always ready for use. You do not even have to hunt for a hand basket because even those are readily available for use. This store has almost everything - nice deli and warmed food section, Starbucks, coinstar, red box, pharmacy and even the new aged health check machine (must check out it tells you your body fat ). The one thing I do not like is when the newspaper rep is at the front door and the fact that they use the shopping carts when they empty the outside trash cans. They really should have another system for trash procedures and not the "clean" carts we use to put out groceries in "yuck". read more

I like this location, because my bank branch is here. It's also well lit, I've run into old friends in town, and they have a seafood section that sells clams (strangely, nobody else in the area has shellfish). I should add that the people in the meat/seafood section aren't all that knowledgeable, but they're friendly, which counts. It still perplexes me that I can't find anyone else in the immediate area with live claims except for this store, which keeps me going. read more

I particularly like this location because they offer a few items that my usual grocery store doesn't have. They have a great deli selection. I like how they have plenty of ready made items like the bean and cheese mini burritos. My personal favorites! Plus, already chopped bell peppers, onions, zucchini, etc. Plus, they have raw french fries ready to cook. With a little oil they tasted great with eggs. The store is typically clean. Employees are friendly. And there's a Starbucks located inside by the deli side. The one negative thing for me is their bakery. I prefer Von's bakery over Albertsons. Von's tends to have fresher and more available bread. Albertsons does seem to have a good cake department though. Overall, Albertsons is a pretty good grocery store. read more

I have shopped in many different places before making this my principal store. I have read reviews from those that did not like the fact that they cannot try 3 chicken wings (this is not a "souk."). I have read from those that say its expensive--the sales rotate and overall they are the same when you look at year end totals and factor in gas and time to get to a different venue--unless you go to Pavilions or another market that is designed for upper scale or specialty (Geldens). I know this since I am in marketing. Albertsons is great, friendly place to shop. Yes, there may be items more expensive, but then again there is air conditioning, stockers, bakers, meat-cutters and the like that are being paid. If you want a store that is not "Americanized" then go to a place like Basha Market or Tito's--you will get the second world store feel you want. I love there discount rack, and manager special stickers....with coupons, discounts, and proximity, I always save when I shop. I go to this Albertson's for my lunch most of the time. It's right by work so when I'm hungry I can walk over & grab a hot lunch. They have a special... 1/entree & 2/sides for ~$5. Where can you a FULL, HEALTHY lunch for $5? I usually get either the chicken strips or ckn wings (they have a wing 'bar'... zesty, honey, bbq, Asian, Salt/Vinegar) and get coleslaw & a specialty salad. They also have so much more... pre-made sandwiches, fake sushi, salads, etc. Most of the time I have leftovers which I end up eating about an hour later. :) read more
