This store is great. Always clean and organized!! The staff are helpful and friendly. I go here and Fry's for food. It all depends on the sales each week. They seem to be pretty competitive. I really like the BOGO on vitamins. That helps save you money. They started a new point / app system like other markets. Just went to pharmacy they were out of medication and would not have it in stock till Monday today is Friday. The pharmacist was helping me and said he would call another osco to see if they could fill it for me . Only gave 1 star because Zero wasn't available. Today marked my final day shopping at Albertsons. I estimate spending $5-8,000 annually. Since the installation of the self service check out robots, the shopping experience has declined to much less than acceptable and substandard. Today I needed help at the machine. Items I scanned and bagged had to be redone. The clerk told me the robot made a sound indicating a problem. This clerk didn't understand that I was deaf. When I requested her help weighing some beans, she was schooling me how to look up the product and weigh it. I told her I don't want to know all the intricacies of how to operate the robot. She is there for that. When I was halted to make a liquor purchase, she ignored me. She then told me her manager told her not to talk to me. Sara, the manager,cleared the purchase. Upon leaving the store the clerk and manager were huddling, and both totally ignored my complaints. Albertson's needs to learn the power of the checkbook If your delighted with doing self checkout, bagging your items, using filthy scanners and dealing with surly help, continue to shop there. Otherwise go else ware. Sprouts is opening soon, and I don't mind the ride for much higher quality at Whole Foods. read more

DO NOT ORDER SPECIALTY CAKES HERE! I placed an order for Albertsons to make my wedding cake. Simple 3 tier cake that they have on display. I love the taste of their white cake with white frosting so I figured buying my wedding cake there would be a breeze. Boy was I wrong. Originally stopped in about a month prior to the wedding/date of pick up to place my order. At that time I asked if I needed to pay for the cake then or least pay for half, I was told that I needed to pay at pick up. Stopped into the store 5 other times to confirm and verify everything was good to go- the wedding cake IS the centerpiece of a wedding so I wanted everything perfect. Talked to numerous employees in the bakery and every single one confirmed my order. Every time I tried to pay, they said it would need to be paid for at pick up. The day before my wedding I get a rude call from the bakery manager stating they've left me several messages and they needed to know if I wanted my cake still because it hasn't been paid for and they can't start the work until it has. 1- no one ever called me before this date. 2- I've been there in person several times confirming the order and wanted to pay every time. After explaining everything to the manager she said that they would start my cake and would let it "slide" this time but normally they need payment before. Day of wedding my mom and my husband moved the cake from inside our car (which had been running prior to pick up since it was hot and we didn't want the cake to melt). They didn't get 2 feet out of the car and the cake fell over! The entire cake was ruined....some dummy there used STRAWS to hold the tiers together. Really straws? They should have used wood or plastic dowels to hold the 3 tiers together! My aunt, who's mother is a wedding cake baker in Utah, looked at my cake and told me that the bottom layer where pieces of random cakes mushed together and covered up with frosting to make it look like a full cake. My wedding was RUINED thanks to their laziness. On the bright side they did refund the entire amount I paid but I would have rather had a beautiful wedding cake than my money. read more

Lousy store and unfriendly staff. In this time of crisis they should be helpful and informed. I was told by staff and on the phone that they would open at 7AM on 03/19/2020 for seniors ONLY and would have all paper products available from a truck that was already in. I arrived at 6:55 Am only to find all paper products gone already and was informed by a very unfriendly staff member that they had opened at 6AM instead, Also, most of the shoppers in the store were not senior citizens. The staff is not informed and gives out incorrect info. At least at Fry's and AJ's the staff is helpful and they know what is going on. read more

I usually only write reviews for great happenings. This is not one of those. I started going to this pharmacy in 2011 when I moved to Phoenix. My prescriptions in general have been the same for 7 years. Many, many times they don't have my medication available. I have tried to support this company and be loyal even though Walgreen's is closer and since last year Fry's has opened only a few blocks from me. One pharmacy tech, Desmond is the only reason I have stayed. He is wonderful! There is also a female pharmacist who is there only once in a blue moon that knows customer service is important. Today was the final straw with this pharmacy! For years when Desmond isn't there I have stood at the counter waiting for up to 10 minutes while the staff stands around talking and laughing, totally ignoring me! There can be a line of 4-6 people waiting, same thing. I have dropped off my prescriptions and asked how long. They will state 1-2 hours. I come back 6 hours later and they tell me it is going to be another 20-30 minutes. This is not a one time or a few times, this happens about 90-95% of the time! Pull up to the drive-thru thinking it will be quicker, think again. Ring the bell and they will wait on you maybe in 5 minutes and tell you they will be with you shortly. Must be a great joke they can't miss. Last night I went to get my prescriptions that I dropped off a little after noon. I was told when dropping them, come back this evening. I came back about 5 and was told my prescription was denied by my insurance and the doctor needs to call. I had gone to the doctor that day and this is not something you can just not take for a day or 2. It can kill you if you don't take it on time. No joke. This is also something I have been on for 20 years and have filled every month, same day for 7 years at this pharmacy. I called my insurance company and they clearly stated it was not them and it is a frequent thing the pharmacist blames them. I went back and the pharmacist lied right to my face again saying it was my insurance. This was back and forth and took about 1.5 hours, so I am being very brief on this. I then said I'd pay cash and get my insurance to reimburse me. My prescription wasn't ready and it would be an hour. Funny, when I had asked a while ago how much something would be before they filled it I was told that they needed to fill it and then run it through insurance before I could get a price. He never filled it! Of course after 5 there is no way to get the doctor either. Fast forward to this morning. I called my doctors office and explained all my issues the night before. The nurse said what I was told made no sense . She called the insurance company and guess what? It wasn't them. It was the pharmacist. She immediately called and the other pharmacist was on today and she said there should never have been an issue and my prescriptions were ready in 10 minutes. I had a very terrible night and couldn't even drive to get my medication this morning and had to be driven there. Thanks Albertson's. Next I called corporate and spoke with a manager who was very friendly and told me a much higher up person would call me back. No call. They have lost a lot of business to the new Fry's by me and I was trying to be loyal. For what? This treatment? No more! Oh and the final straw, they only could fill 90% of my quantity because they didn't have the full amount and they can't give me the missing because they can't split it up. I stopped in today and was able to find all that I was looking for. Now days most grocery stores do not carry an extensive variety of items. Sometimes you have to pick from the selection. Why say the eggs are $1.49 and then charge your customer $3.49? If something requires a coupon then don't post the reduced price like its on a regular sale. It only pisses off your customers when they get home and realize they were charged more than twice the posted price. read more

1. They have a geographic monopoly and abuse it with high pricing 2. Their meet counter and cold-cuts counters always give you substantially more than you ask for. 3. You have to ask their meet and deli counters to put on new plastic gloves before they start your order...otherwise, they keep using the gloves they've been cleaning sinks and garbage with for the last 10 minutes 4. I've had a personal item stolen out of my cart (not Albertson's fault....but it would help if the cashier clerk didn't laugh when you complain about it. When I told the manager, did he ask for my phone number in the event it showed up? No.... just a curt "we didn't have anything turned in." read more

This is one of the nicer Albertsons I've been to. The produce was very fresh and a good variety. The meat selection is pretty good, but not as good as Safeway or the Fry's a few miles north. The place looks nice after the remodel. I like the way they added the 3 new express check out lines. Everyone stands in one line and you go to the first one that opens up. That way you don't have to worry about picking the line that will be the slow one read more

This Albertsons is ok if you are close and need a few things, but their prices are higher and selection poorer than other stores such as Fry's. I live less than 5 minutes away, but I usually go to Wal-Mart (sigh) or Fry's in Anthem. read more

A not quite retraction: As their remodeling is nearing completion, things are getting better. There are some things they carry that Fry's doesn't. I'm going to keep using them as needed. This store has been our choice for grocery shopping for three years. The store has a very friendly atmosphere, that is felt immediately on entering. The store is always clean including the restrooms. The store manager of this store, #1004, is always out and about in his store. Bob S. is an example of an excellent manager, and strives to please his customers. One of many examples of this, is when I purchased some Honeycrisp-apples. Once I got home with them, I couldn't wait to sample one, and found a couple of them had brown spots inside. As the price was 3.99 per pound, I reluctantly returned to the store where I mentioned this to Bob. He promptly escorted me to his produce Department, and introduced his produce manager. He showed him the brown spots inside the apples, in spite of the beautiful appearance of the outside. Bob and his produce manager apologized profusely, (Which certainty was not necessary) Bob then gave me several apples to replace the bad ones. and offered for me to take more. That experience spoke volumes to me. The cashiers, (Tanya) and all others that have checked me out, are friendly and also are committed to customer satisfaction. Tanya, for example, left her check stand to escort me back to the smoked salmon. Once in the seafood section she showed me the smoked salmon products, as the package I had purchased was priced differently than at the check stand, and I had read the wrong sale price marking. Another person in Bob's store that deserves mentioning is Janet, the florist Manager. Janet always has a smile, and enjoys her job. Upon asking her expert opinion on several occasions, she went out of her way to show me the best options for the event. In closing, I applaud the entire staff for a job cheerfully, well done. This store is a joke.One time i brought a lean ground beef and has a huge chunks of fat on it so i never brought any meat there anymore.The other day i had to buy some food and snacks for the week and i stoped there cause was on the way ,and when i got home and i taste it,i almost trow up,so i look at the expiration date and was expired.So i look all the products and they was also expired,even the deli meat and the sushi,was taste horrible,i am so sick just for typing this.I will never spend my money there anymore and i want to warning people that do spend money out there to look the expiration date .I have a child and she could get very sick.I am so mad at this store right now.How can you run a bussines without care about the health of your custumers???nasty and horrible manegement. read more

I would give them zero stars if that were an option. Every prescription that I have ordered there was out of stock and had to be ordered. Four days ago I dropped of a prescription for my meal-time insulin and advised them that I would be out of town for three days. I went in today to pick it up and they had not even bothered to order it. Now I am leaving town tomorrow for a week with no meal-time insulin. Needless to say I will never fill another prescription at this pharmacy. read more

I moved into the area back in November and used to go to the Albertsons near Desert Ridge so I thought I'd try this store since closer to my new home. PASS!!! I have been there 10-12 times since November, 2016 and my experience has gone from bad to worse each and every time, so bad, I would make the extra long drive just to go back to Desert Ridge a 20 minute drive - vs - 10 minutes. Yesterday, Sunday 3/26/17 was the last time I will EVER step foot in this store! Between purchasing products over the past few months that I opened at home and found to be spoiled to over pricing of products, lack of product availability, poor quality produce, limited selections in the bakery, the worst layout of a store that I have ever seen, and a service deli department with flies behind the counter not to mention the slowest, rudest employees ever!!! Yesterday I watched the semi-bald headed guy behind the counter open the meat doors and cough right into the products. I stood in line behind 2 other ladies yesterday for 15 minutes waiting my turn while watching the people behind the counter walk slowly around, one of the ladies didn't have a clue what she was doing and the 2 other men who are always there act like they work for the IRS and that they will get to you when they get to you. No customer service at all. Then it was my turn ( we all operate on the honor system at the deli counter these days since the days of taking a ticket with your number has gone away) the lady behind the counter says who is next, so I raised my hand that it was me, she looked at me and walked over to a girl who came up to the counter well after I did and SHE knew it too. So there I stood yet another 5+ minutes watching the chaos and biting my tongue. All I can say over and over again is THANK GOODNESS THE NEW FRYS ON DOVE VALLEY OPENS NEXT WEEK AND I HOPE THEY TAKE ALL OF THIS STORES CUSTOMERS! read more

The store has inconsistent stock, HIGH turnover in management, rude woman in butcher shop, awful produce .. And lately even the pharmacy , Osco, is awful. Our of stock meds, late fills and incompetent new employees. After 10 years we are transferring alp drugs and never shipping here again. read more

this albertson's has a real problem with the manager and the assistant manager. the cashier is not well trained and does not know what to do with discounted items so that a persons check will not go through their system even if there is enough money in the checking account. the manager could only say that he was sorry for the trouble i had with the check. he needs to get things in order at this albertsons on carefree hwy. read more

Slowest staff and worst customer service I've ever received. I just stood behind a man for a half hour waiting while an employee who clearly didn't know what she was doing had to call for help every time she clicked on something on the computer. Does a slow worker annoy me? No. What annoys me is no one else bothered to ask what I was here for or offered to help so I continued to wait. Finally just as the man ahead of me starts to check out another employee asks what I'm here for so I tell him and it's not even there. I have a job too responsibilities and things to do but I patiently waited for a half an hour. I will never go to this place again and I hope whoever is in charge takes this review seriously because a lady ahead of me left she'd been waiting so long and there were 2 others behind me. There's 1 employee giving us attention and 3 just standing in the back. Now I'm a half hour late for work and I don't know when I'm gonna be able to get what I need. I never go out of my way to write a review like this (that's how bad the service was) and the fact that I missed a half hour of pay for a simple question to be answered for me is unacceptable. read more

Great produce if looking for normal stuff, the deli and meat counter are great. Good sales on ribs all the time... Other than that it's one of those stores that you go too if you have just a few things to buy. The prices are hiked up a bit but not too bad. read more
