I don't know why this place has such bad reviews! Their carne asada burritos are crazy. The meat is very juicy and flavorful and the guac, pico, and salsa are good too. My boyfriend loves ordering it as is but I like asking for beans and/or lettuce too. Their beans and rice are also tasty. I WILL say that their cheese enchiladas were terrible though I'd pass on that hahaha it was shredded like Mexican blend cheese or something and wasn't melted all the way. I have been to this restaurant several times and the food was great. I always order the same thing Carne Asada Fries in the drive thru todays was just awful!! It had way too much salt (or spice), cheese and beef hardly any fries. It's always great when you get more beef, but this was disgusting!! I ordered the enchilada Combo for pickup with 1 beef and 1 cheese enchilada, but received 2 beef enchiladas with green bell peppers which I didn't like. The beef taco, side of guacamole, and hot salsa were all good. My complaint is that my order was incorrect and the enchiladas had bell peppers in them. Soggy old fries, not very flavorful carne asada. Some bites tastes like "old meat". Unusually weird, oily and crumbly corn tortilla in the taco plate. And the beans and rice had a strange flavor that's hard to describe. Rice was horribly bloated and gross. I prefer the other Albertacos in other locations. Because the girl up front forgot to submit our ticket to the cook line...‍ if it wasn't for my wife to ask how much longer it was gonna take (after 45 minutes of waiting), we would probably STiLL be there... like idiots!!! I'm done with this place! Today Dec-21-20 around 2:30pm I went to this place, ordered through the drive thru. When I got my order (longer than usual) I said "thank you" and the cashier just closed her window without saying a word (how rude). Just came back home, it's 3:10pm Yeap, quite a drive and my order is NOT complete!!! This sucks. I finally decided to write something about it because it is NOT the first time this happens. Never again will I eat here. I ordered our food to go got home and my tacos were hard as a rock . My sons as well. They forgot the cheese on my husbands beans . The horchata barley had any cinnamon. I've always liked them . I don't know if they changed management or something but the last two meals I have been extremely dissatisfied with. When you try and call to talk to a manager it goes to a voicemail that's full. So buyer beware this food is not as good as it used to be. This place actually took us for a surprise, took the wife and she was a bit skeptical about this place cause the way it looks from the outside, but once we went inside, it was actually pretty nice. Wife had the machaca which was actually really, really good. I had the breakfast burrito and it was really delicious. I've been going here for years. First time I had it delivered. The food is always tasty. Weird tortillas, different is good but they are thin. I always order a Carne Asada plate. I always enjoy it. Now on occasion there is some tough gristle, but I'm a fan. Crunchy would be better but it works for me. I used to order a breakfast burrito on my way to work. The things are huge! I haven't had one since I retired. The staff speaks little English, I found I can still get across what I want. In all, everything may not be perfect yet I find it very enjoyable. I will continue to be a patron. My mouth waters thinking about it. Life is short, enjoy things even if not exact. The world is a big place and we should enjoy different things. We found this place by accident over a year ago while having hunger-munch! Didn't remember the name and couldn't find it again until NOW!! My husband is from Guerrero Mexico and he compares this place to his home foods. The food here is amazing!! Truly authentic Mexican food with very reasonable prices and large portions. My fiancé and I have had to travel to many different places, he was based in Colorado at the time when we had first tried the food here and every time i go visit him it's become a staple. This is THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER. I'm hispanic, my family is from Guadalajara and the food here is some of the most authentic food I have had. To be honest, I do not know why the reviews are so low. For their price their fare is fair :) offering two different types of salsa in our bag when we received our burritos was very nice, and our horchata had a yummy strong flavor (which personally, I preferred it slightly more watered down after I finished my burrito. The stronger taste accompanies strong flavor best). The cali burritos have become our go to when we visit. They also wrap their burrito up a bit skinnier than say qdoba or chipotle, but I prefer that as you don't seem to be losing quantity or filling (the burrito simply is longer) but it makes it so it is easier to bite without worrying about stuff falling out. read more
