So disappointed in the shredded beef burrito. I kept tasting only veggies and no meat and so I open up the burrito to find it full of mixed veggies and barely any shredded beef. Waste of $10. Ended up throwing it away. Gross. read more

Took my MIL here when she visited. We all had super burritos. The staff were so friendly. They let me try my Spanish (I'm getting better..). They weren't super busy so it was nice to chat a bit. Our food was very good. I am originally from NorCal (I know, sorry) but haven't been back in 15 years. This food reminded me of the Mexican I'd get there. I added rice, beans and creama. The meat was so tasty. I got carne asada (steak for you gringos) and my wife and MIL got Carnitas (pork) my MIL was so happy with her food, I didn't have to listen to her talk for at least 30 minutes. The inside was clean and access was simple. They have drive through that look super efficient. Oh, their homemade salsa was awesome! Flavorful and hot! Got the Colorado burrito smothered in green chili. Picture worthy in appearance, and the food quality was right on par with their usual awesomeness. Their green chili is really delicious and packs some heat too. Highly recommend this great little restaurant, again and again! read more

The very first time I came all my orders were good. The crane asada fries were really good, the chimichanga was crispy, but I've been two times since and each time has gotten worse. I ordered a chimichanga today that wasn't crispy at all, the tacos were thrown together and cold, and I ordered a supreme burrito and maybe I didn't read it right but it comes with no meat. The horchata was watered down. Overall was a big disappointment for spending $40 for 3 meals that were mid at best. I don't think I'll be back. read more

My gosh! This place is that little hole in the wall that everyone passes. Great service, food and drinks! We tried the carnita platter - nice serving!!!! Not a buncha fat pieces either. Rice and beans are good too! Chile Rellenos were good too, not greasy and cheesy was good quality didn't get hard after first cut. You gotta always eat them hot. They have multiple aguas there as well! Overall, service was great, everything taste homemade. Flour tortillas made on site. Ooohhh!!!! Overall cost, you cant go wrong! Great portions for $. I just couldn't help myself. My local Chick-fil-A is closed and I found myself here twice in the last week. On one visit I had the Carne Asada burrito and on the other I had three shredded beef tacos. Very tasty! My only issue with the food here is the grease. read more

I absolutely love Taco Express carne asada nachos (even better than the fries. I have ordered the carne asada fries or nachos from other restaurants but Taco Express is hands down the best. Don't use DoorDash. Pick up was less than $9, DoorDash comes to around $20, plus if you change your order you get charged for both orders. Not good read more

Such a convenient location! I've only ever gone through the drive thru but I can only say good things. The wait is never that long and the food is always piping hot and delicious. The prices are reasonable and this is one of our go-to spots for carne asada fries. Yum! The kids meal cheese quesadilla comes with so much food! It's almost like an adult portion. I've been going here for over a decade and man, so so good. The ladies at the drive thru and sweet, professional, and entertaining and I've never had an order messed up. The Carne asada fries and super nachos are incredible. The breakfast burritos are huge and delicious. Rolled tacos are great. Never had a bad meal from here. One of the most consistent places I've eaten in the Springs. Delicious! Love it! read more

I can't BELIEVE how good their food is. I love the carnita tacos and get them almost everytime, but honestly their entire menu is delicious. Their tortas and burritos are to kill for, honestly. Its my go-to mexican place since it hits so close to el paso TX taco trucks haha. Beyond one of my favorite restaurants and its cheap for how much you get in your order. if I could give them 500/10, I would!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My son and I go to Taco Express off of Tutt at least twice a week and order the exact same thing every time.... But today when Esparanza took my order she tried to say there was no butter for my tortilla, which I know they have because I always order the same thing. She told me to go to the window with an attitude, so when i rolled up to the window, I had her repeat my order. I asked her why she was charging me $1.99 for butter for my tortilla when i have been coming here for over 2 years and they have NEVER charged me for butter... She told me in her EXACT WORDS, "WELL........I AM CHARGING YOU FOR BUTTER!" It took everything in my soul to remain calm and asked her to speak to the Manager. She closed the window and when she came back she told me she called her Manager and he said to charge me for butter. I asked for the Managers name, Mariano. As a Manager, I would expect him to listen to both sides of the story, so shame on him......I have done customer service for years and would never allow my workers to treat any customer like this.... especially over melted butter! If CUSTOMER SERVICE is important to you when deciding where to eat with your family......... This is my go to for burritos! I usually get their breakfast burrito (bacon, egg, potato), or sometimes their Colorado burrito. They are among the best in town. Can't speak to the inside as I always use their drive thru, but service is usually very fast and always tastes great! I like both the red and green sauces. Prices are reasonable. read more

Wow. When I say the place went from 100% to 0 within a month, lie to you not I will never go here again. They got a new staff or a new cook whatever but it is terrible. I go for the same thing every time, carne asada tacos with cilantro and onion only. Well the last two times I've went they told me they don't make them. I found the Carne asada tacos I have been searching for! I have not been able to find good steak tacos and I am so happy to find this place. The meat was surprisingly SO tasty and flavorful paired with onions, cilantro and lime wrapped up in two delicious corn tortillas (that are actually huge!) They are the real Mexican tacos That I crave!!! The only thing that wasn't amazing was the guacamole pretty salty and basic but the salsa verde is spicy and so good!!! If you want great classic Mexican tacos please go here you will be so happy!!!! I am sure everything on the menu is tasty and authentic. TIP- carne asada tacos come with lettuce and something else (idk) but ask to substitute it for cilantro and onion and limes on the side! read more

I'm so glad I finally found the time to check out this place! I've only ever gotten the carne asada tacos and the chicken quesadilla which were both so good! They could possibly look into a new intercom because it's so hard to hear the worker on the other end to order but this is just a sidenote I'd like to point out. I've been looking for a good Colorado Style Breakfast Burrito (yeah, that's actually an official burrito style) in California and they are amazingly hard to come by. Usually when I get to Colorado I go straight to get a breakfast burrito, which is why I was delighted to find this new Taco Express open near my parent's house. This location is just as yummy as the Centennial location, but although they claim to be open 24 hours I don't think this location is. However, this location has a big inside dining area and it's very clean. Back when I was working construction in the Black Forest this place would've been a standard breakfast place, I'm sure. read more

I ordered house margarita paired well with complimentary chips & salsa. I had chicken mole which was delicious and my friend got steak tacos. We were happy with the choices and appreciated the quick, friendly, and attentive service. One of the places to go for good Mexican meals.

It should also be sliced at an angle against the grain, not straight down. The Carne Asada tacos I was served were like biting into a shoe sole. Go to YouTube and search for ArnieTex if you want to learn how proper Carne Asada is prepared and cut. I would have sent the food back to the kitchen, but after waiting 35 minutes for two tacos, and after the waitress already messed up my original order, I gave up.
