Be careful and double check what you get when you shop here. I needed insulation for a home project (a shed I was building). I asked for insulation for 16 on centre studs and they gave me insulation for 24 on centre (Fair enough, I should have checked the insulation when they loaded up my trailer). AVOID ARRON AND THE STORE MANAGER. I don't write reviews often, but I've never had such a poor store experience. I was treated so disrespectfully in the Alberta Drywall store that I actually put a call in to the manager (something I've never done). When I was transferred to him, he picked up the phone, and in a crass tone, he asked me, "What's your problem?". I replied, "Pardon me?". He repeated the question in a ruder voice. I replied, "Actually, never mind.". I could tell this was not going to go well. Then, without another word, he actually hung up the phone. Avoid this store unless you need something very specific that you can't find at the big stores, because you're paying a pretty substantial markup, and you are going to be faced with some notably rude people. Drywall & Stucco supply does not properly describe everything that this business has their hands into. When I finished my basement I purchased all my drywall, T-Bar, ceiling tiles and any tools that I didn't already have from this business. I also bought scaffolding from them for my outdoor project that summer. I was impressed with the huge amount of stock that they carry. For an example, any type of ladder you can imagine they probably have it. They also carry any and every tool related to Drywall, Stucco and just general construction. Their showroom is packed to the roof with a full selection of Dewalt power tools and laser levels too. It is impressive. Prices? When I did my basement their prices were better than Home Depot, Totem and Home Hardware. Not way cheaper but they were less expensive than the others. read more

They have A LOT of drywall related product here and pricing seems to be pretty good although I do not buy this stuff everyday. I did not read the return policy and was unable to exchange a drywall access panel. It was unopened, two days later and didn't even really seem to fit the "drywall" description of items that could not be returned. Seems like a great place to get all your drywall related tools and supplies but beware of the strict return/exchange policy. read more

Do NOT purchase any product from this company!!!!! They do not do returns even when they make a mistake and give you the wrong product. The staff and owner are EXTREEMLY unprofessional and rude. My husband went into their store after speaking with them on the phone and asked for Aluminum T-Bar for our bathroom. He was advised several times that he was getting Aluminum T-Bar and they loaded it in our truck. Once he got the product home we realized that it is not in fact Aluminum at all. We contacted to company to advise them of the mix up and they told us that the wall mold was aluminum capped (not at all what we requested) and that T-Bar was simply steal and that they only carry aluminum capped product and would not be willing to return the product even though it was only an hour later and we hadn't even unloaded it from out truck. To clarify we were specifically told that we were getting Aluminum everything by the staff several time as my husband was specifically looking for this product which is not available at the bigger chains like Home Depo or Rona. Hoping that I could get a better response then my husband I personally called the store to ask to speak with a manager or supervisor and I explained the situation and tried to clarify his name he got agitated and hung up the phone one me (I was not even speaking with him for 1min when he hung up the phone). I am an expert in conflict resolution and was very professional and in no way rude or belligerent to him. I called back again and spoke with another gentleman who at least listened to me and advised that we could exchange the T-Bar for aluminum capped (still not what we request) and that they under no circumstance (even if it is there fault) do not do returns. I told them that this was not a reasonable solution and asked them to provide another option and he simply said it is their policy to NEVER DO RETURNS. This company bates and switches. The owner is a complete ass, extremely rude and only out for a quick buck. I got a quote for scaffolding rental over the phone. I gave the dimensions and explained the project and was told what I needed and given a $ amount. When my husband arrives to pick up after we borrow a truck he's charged double. They claim I asked for the "wrong stuff". When I call about the price and ask the owner to honour the quote I'm told they're not at fault and get hung up on. But prior to the hang up, I'm asked if I was there yesterday. Which I was not so obviously this happens frequently. read more

Beware of this company!!! I purchased tiles from this company and I was told there were 7 square ft per box when in reality the box only included 6 square ft!! I do not recommend this company. I called to complain and the owner just hang up on me without listening, very rude! Worst customer service! This place is a joke , and they have no idea how to do business, and take care of their customers. I bought a screw gun here a couple of weeks ago. When i went to use it, i noticed it wasnt put together properly, and there were pieces actually missing!when i tried to use it , it didnt even work properly. they sold me a refurbished piece of crap, and didnt even tell me. When i tried to return it, they told me i had to take it to the dewalt refurbishing center, instead of returning it, and giving me another one that actually worked. which is what they SHOULD have done. Unbelievable... I will NOT be returning to that place, because they feel perfectly ok about selling you things that dont work, and then washing their hands of it. I now have to wait 2 weeks for it to be repaired so i can use the gun i paid for. what a JOKE! read more

Make sure you are getting what they say they are giving you. Their return policy is just like their customer service, Terrible! We were told that each box of rock was 20 square feet by one of the girls working there. So we ordered accordingly and went on our way. It just so happens that each box is only 8.5 square feet. So back into the city we go to buy more product. Once back, we are told we didn't get enough corners for the project. So back into the city we go again to buy more product. Once the house was finished we had 6 unopened boxes. When I went to return it, I was told to sell it on kijiji because they wont take any rock back. WOW! Not the response I was expecting. The so called manager was pompus and very rude. You'd think with all the run arounds we were given, the least they could do is take back what they screwed up in the first place. Never again will I recommend this poorly run place. Go to a box store and pay the little bit extra. You will get the service and knowledge expected from a place that says they specialize in this type of product. read more

I went into this place on recommendation from a neighbour for home renovation materials. I own a drywall business and had never been here before. They have an impressive amount of stuff but it seems very few people who work there know where anything is. I used them last week to buy some materials but witnessed the owner, apparently a man named Blair, come out of his office and yell at a young lady working ringing through my purchases. I could tell the girl was a new employee but had provided me with excellent customer service from the time I walked in to the time I left. This owner, who looked like he hadn't slept in days and smelled of alcohol came right into her face and hollered at her about some sort of PO or something unrelated to my purchase. I didn't mind waiting as she could not continue the transaction until he was finished his rant, and then he gave ME, who had just spent nearly $1000 on materials, a dirty look like I was an inconvenience. Then some other guy who I assume to be a manager came and told her she was doing my invoice wrong. She asked why and all he did was roll his eyes and walk away. Another girl rushed to help this young lady and told her she was doing fine and that both men were in bad moods so she shouldn't take it personally. I thought she had done a great job; as she was helping me locate what I needed, I saw these two "managers" sitting at an order desk drinking coffee and talking. All in all, I felt very uncomfortable and this poor girl was, understandably, fighting back tears. Home Depot and other stores don't offer as much inventory or prices quite as low, but after seeing how this employee and I imagine others were treated, I will never go back. I hope this young lady does not put up with what I saw was verbal abuse from 2 people who are supposed to be professional, not raging mean men. A small discount is not worth it. I did take a business card, so if R. Blair Cunningham or Bart Mc reads this, I think you should re-think your management style. You do not scream at employees or anyone in a business, it makes everyone involved uncomfortable, and again, this young lady found me everything I needed in 10 minutes and had it loaded by some labour guys into my truck but I left feeling just awful, wondering how her and other employees are able to work for such a loose cannon. As a business owner/ contractor myself I have spread the word that this company does not deserve business, and like myself, I know a lot of guys who will not go there now because of this. Going to a few different places and paying a few extra bucks is preferable to realizing you are putting money into the pocket of a "businessman " who has no regard for professional or good management practice, and I hope this young lady as well as the other girl who comforted her stand up for their right of being treated with respect in the workplace.
