Highly recommend Dr. Albert Katz! The office staff is wonderful--everyone was so helpful and kind. I was especially impressed that my wait time was only 5-10 minutes. Dr. Katz is fantastic; he didn't rush through the appointment at all and spent a significant amount of time talking with me. He is incredibly warm, smiling, communicative, and understanding. Since it was my initial visit, he ordered labs and imaging to make sure we cover all the bases. He strikes me as very experienced and knowledgeable. I feel extremely comfortable in his care and am happy to have him as my doctor. read more

These guys are great, great service, they're all very caring, and they go out of their way for their patients. They keep the office very clean. I cannot say enough good things read more

Dr Katz is extremely unprofessional. Doesn't even look u at the eyes as he doesnt want u to pick up he is LYING. He told me Gapabpentin is not what makes me sleepy but Ambien and suggested xrays when i had MRI's. He anted me to go thru a sleeping lab for neurpathy when neurologist ruled it out saying i habe neuropathy based on the type of symptom. A bunch of BS a 4 year old won't dare to say . He talks nonsense. And clearly wants to just push meds on u as that is where the dough is. Stay away from him! read more

Dr. Katz is an amazing doctor! He is the most thorough, does never rush, looks at every single detail before he talks to you. When he is ready, he listens and answers every question you have. I have never felt rushed, no matter how many I had. He is also the only doctor that will always keep the other doctors informed, updated to make sure that they work with me as a team. I could not ask for a better doctor, and being respectful of his process is the least I can do in return. read more

Dr. Katz will seem cold the first time you meet him. Give him a minute. He's a scientist. An analyst. He will ask you questions to narrow down the list of possible diagnoses. He has been a godsend to me. Let him ask, and answer him blatantly honestly. He will help you, he's a good guy. read more

The absolutely worst doctor I have ever experienced in my life. Absolutely the most ARROGANT doctor and extremely unprofessional. This man is only in it for the money and will prescribe you medication that you don't need and will give you the wrong diagnosis. You are much better off going somewhere else. This man is a risk to every single one of his patients. I have no idea how he is still in practice. read more

This doctor needs to give up his practice, he was so rude to my granddaughter and her mother and myself. We waited for an hour and half to be seen, when he finally barged in the room he never introduced himself and ordered my granddaughter off the table and told her to sit in a chair. He asked rapid fire questions and told us there is nothing wrong with her. Told us a bruise she has had for over a year now was a rash and to put cream on it, really it is black, blue and green but it is a rash. We asked why two sets of results were positive, he said they were not positive and ordered additional blood tests which came out positive. When we called to ask about them he said they are not positive and come back in 6 months. So now we have 3 positive tests but nothing is wrong with her.....really. He may of been a top notch rheumatologist back in the day but at some point doctors even need to retire. read more

Dr. Katz bedside manners may have rough on the edges but he is a great doctor and actually care about his patients. He was my primary doctor until my new insurance forced me to change doctors. I will go back to Dr Katz as soon as I can. read more

Horrible doctor. Never even listened to my chief concerns. Sarcastic and rude. Didn't even send in the prescription I really needed! I really wish I would've read all the bad reviews on him below before ever scheduling an appt with him. Forewarned. Big wasted visit read more

I see Dr. Katz has a reputation for having poor bedside manner and being on his computer for most of the appointment, but I value a doctor's skills far more than bedside manner, and Dr. Katz is great. I went to 14 doctors and 2 hospitals, all of which dismissed my symptoms as psychological, before Dr. Katz, who took the time to listen, took me seriously, and has been amazing at treating me and actually finding out what's going on. He may be on his computer a lot, and he may have long wait times, but it's because he's thinking, reviewing every test, and because he spends as long as I need answering questions and explaining things to me. I was struggling horribly with a new chronic, undiagnosed illness at 20 years old before I remembered Dr. Katz, who had diagnosed my previous mystery chronic pain at 13 years old and told me markers in my blood meant I might develop an autoimmune disorder in the future. So I went back to him and did not regret it. He may be blunt, but I value that in a doctor and he's done good things for me. read more

Very rude and probably racist doctor. My wife called me in tears upon leaving his office.

By far the WORSE DR. I have ever had a consultation with. I have never felt so degraded to the point I was so close to cry. This Dr has zero empathy or compassion towards anyone. He is extremely Rude I spend waiting for him for about one hr in the consultation room just for him to come in and sit in his computer and didn't talk to me until he was done writing who knows what In the computer. Then he ask me how I was feeling and told him all my symptoms. And he seem very disregarding towards me. I asked him what can be causing all this symptoms and he said I don't have an answer. Even tho he has my most recent x-rays and lab work results that he sent me to get done . And my ANA test came back positive and he seemed to no care at all. He just kept saying I don't have an answer for anything. After his blank meaningless answer I gave up. He didn't even trying to do more lab work to figure out why I came back positive on my test. He's best answer it's I don't have answer. I was very disappointed when I got to my car I just started crying. read more

My entire life I've struggled with chronic pain. After I was in a car accident 10 years ago my symptoms progressed and my joints began dislocating daily. With each passing year my body falls apart more and I develop new problems. Because of this, I've been misdiagnosed over 20 times. Recently my Dr's have concluded I have some type of musculoskeletal disorder (potentially Ehlers- Danlos or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder.) Unfortunately most Dr's have very little knowledge about these disorders which is why I was referred to a rheumatologist. Needless to say, when I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Katz I was hopeful I'd finally receive the answers I'd been searching for. The day of my appointment I asked my mother to accompany me for moral support & also because she suffers from the same symptoms I do which has lead us to believe our issues might be genetic. Upon meeting Dr. Katz my mom and I decided to let him take the lead. We assumed he would examine my blood work, ask questions and perform a thorough physical examination. The unfortunate reality was none of that transpired. Instead, we awkwardly sat in silence for 30 minutes while we listened to Dr. Katz type on his computer. The only time he spoke was to relay my lab results and inquire if I had been tested for insomnia or had my heart & eyes examined. He never bothered to explain the irrelevant line of questioning. He then asked me to stand up and extend my arms so he could measure them. He didn't even do the Beighton Score test required to help determine Ehlers-Danlos. That concluded the physical exam. I became frustrated by his lack of initiative so I took matters into my own hands and requested he review the long list of symptoms I'm experiencing. He scoffed and immediately handed it back to me. I then read everything aloud thinking that would get the conversation going in a more positive direction. To my dismay, he ignored everything I said. After all was said and done Dr. Katz submitted referrals for a cardiologist, ophthalmologist and somnologist. At the end he asked if we had any questions. Obviously we had many. My first was, how is Ehlers-Danlos is diagnosed, will I need genetic testing? To which he rudely replied, it's pointless to get genetic testing done simply for my own sake since there's no cure.. the only reason I'd need a diagnosis is if my partner and I want children since there's a risk of passing it on. I was in utter shock. I exclaimed, why wouldn't I want to find out what I'm up against even if there's no cure? He bluntly remarked, focus on treating your symptoms not searching for a diagnosis. I explained I've done everything imaginable to treat my symptoms yet every Dr. I've seen contradicts one another, no one has a clear understanding as to what's going on or how to properly treat me. My mom politely backed up my statements and asked her own questions to get clarification. With each question we asked Dr. Katz's tone became more condescending. We felt really uncomfortable which discouraged us from continuing to engage with him. The impression we were left with is that he's burnt out, arrogant and doesn't genuinely care about helping his patients. The fact I was put in this position is deeply upsetting and although I despise speaking negatively about others I feel it's my obligation to share what I went through in hopes it will prevent others from experiencing the same misfortune. If you're okay with wasting 2 months of your life waiting for an appointment with Dr. Katz only to be talked down to, disregarded and have your time wasted, then this is your guy. Please consider yourself warned. read more

I wish I could give him zero stars. The office staff was nice, but he was so rude, and condescending when asking me questions. I broke down crying right in front of him, felt so embarrassed. When I made the appointment the person told me to bring the slides of my MRI, so naturally, I assumed it was an in office appointment, when I got there, they said it was supposed to be virtual, but he would see me anyway. He came in with such attitude, sighing and shaking his head on anything I say. He told me no one would have told me to bring my slides because all his initial appointments are virtual. I asked him why would I go pick them up. It makes no sense for me to just take it on my own to go pick up images that I wouldn't need. Now, I'm not saying that they didn't tell me it was virtual, maybe they did, maybe they didn't, but they definitely told me to bring my MRI. It truly could have been an honest mistake on either my part, or his office part. I've been in pain for over 7 weeks, and was praying that this doctor could help me. Now, I don't trust him. Why would I after his attitude. I won't take anything he prescribed, or ordered. After seeing how he would treat a patient for a simple misunderstanding, He'll probably just give me a wrong diagnosis anyway. Some doctors really don't care, they're just there for the money. read more

Dr Katz is patient, empathetic and highly skilled. He is a brilliant diagnostician. I was introduced to Dr Katz when I had a painful rash on my arms. After seeking medical attention elsewhere first, I was referred to Dr Katz who successfully diagnosed my condition on my first visit. I received appropriate treatment for my rash providing much needed relief and eventually healing completely. He is my hero and I am forever grateful to him. I highly recommend him to anyone. read more

Both my parents are patients of Dr Katz and he has done amazing for both of them. My dad passed away, but right up until the end, Dr Katzs' care was nothing less than stellar. My dad had so much wrong with him and was in and out of the hospital very often and Dr Katz would coordinate with all his other doctors and follow up with us. My mom has been in declining health as well and all of Dr Katz recommendations for specialists have been excellent. He has a great reputation and rapport with all of my parents doctors. His office staff is very efficient as well. We love and trust Flor. read more

I Can Never thank Dr. Katz enough for everything he has done for me. Since the age of 13 thru now 54. He has seen me thru long stays at Children's, dealing with parents who (1) do not speak English (2) thought I was crazy or making up symptoms to get attention (3) would make house calls to Anaheim when I couldn't go see him, got me thru a high risk pregnancy ( long distance I was living in Las Vegas) and is always available for phone consult when I need him. read more

My family is so very fortunate to have Dr. Albert Katz as our physician. He never rushes his patients through their appointments. The doctors that referred us to Dr. Katz told us that he is the physician that their families use. The staff at Dr. Katz's office also deserves a five star rating. Everyone is kind, compassionate and wanting what is best for the patient. Dr. Katz is always on the cutting edge of what is currently going on with medicine. read more

Dr.Katz is a brat that pouts and ignores paitient care. We live about an hour away from his office. It was begining to become a strain to drive my 90 year old grandmother there, spend 30 minutes in the waiting room and then 30 minutes in the patient room. All this end with him looking through a chart for 15 minutes then 3 minutes of interaction and he sends you off to get a blood test. We explained the problem to him and asked for a referral for a local doctor. He never gave a referral, denied my grandmother's hanidcap placard, wouldn't approve refills on prescriptions and worst of dropped her as a patient without telling us. My grandmother had a stroke recently and he never responded as a doctor, he only responded to say he is no longer her doctor. He has no bedside manner, no interpersonal skills and he's rude to his office staff. Never have I met a doctor so unconcerned with paitents. If I could give no stars I would. read more

His main office person will hang up on you when she is done talking regardless if you have any further questions. Dr. Katz has reached burn out and it is time to retire based on how he treated me and the way he spoke to me. He also documented in my chart several offensive remarks. He told me that the world did not revolve around me when I asked why he admitted me for tests only to immediately discharge me. He wanted to do an MRI and I am not a candidate. He said I was making this up and discharged me without further work up. read more

My family and I will always be grateful to Dr. Katz for helping us get through a very difficult and stressfull time in our lives. He treated my four year old son who had developed arthritis a few months ago. Fortunately, he recovered from his illness and is doing fine right now. We sincerely hope that you would never have to deal with anything like juvenile arthritis in your lives, but if you do then take your child to Dr. Katz for best diagnosis and treatment. As for the Dr., he is a bit odd, but is very thorough with his exam. He was determined to find out what was wrong with my daughter. The MAJOR problem with this office is that they NEVER got me the lab results. After visiting the dr. Katz the 2nd time, he requested a second set of labs, which we did and again NEVER received the records, after repeated requests. My daughter seemed better and just went on without labs. Fast forward to today, my daughter is starting with symptoms again, so the pediatrician was looking through his files for lab results from Dr. Katz (he has referred her there) and he did not have any. He asked me to call, when I did, they said they don't have any, as they had a leak and ALL FILES WERE destroyed!!! WTH? In today's day and age we are supposed to believe nothing is on the computer? She said she would leave a message for doctor and see what he can do? I am beyond upset about this and would never go to this office again. Major problem with front office and now I have no records to compare to with what my daughter is going through. read more

Was not happy with the front desk folks. I called 3 weeks before my appt to make sure they receive my medical records from my primary Dr. I gave them the info and they said they would have it faxed over. I arrived at 230pm for a 315 apt. First thing I asked was did you receive my medical records. The front desk said we dont know yet, ill let you know. 3pm comes around and I ask again. Same reply from the front desk. I could have called my primary care Dr and had them faxed over the medical records in that 45 min timeline. Then they tell me they have nothing. I guess they didnt teach that at ITT Tech? How hard is it too look at my file and see there are NO records. I should have just called my primary. The Dr was ok. He had same medical diagnosis and opinion as my previous rheumatologist (who had to cancel seeing me because of the contracts between my insurance, nothing personal). Im gonna stick with 3 stars for now mainly because of the front office issues. I will do what the Dr says and get my blood work. If I feel the Dr moves up or down a star, I will update. read more

I would give Office staff and Dr Katz less if I could. I had appointment with him. Showed to the room by a really nasty and rude nurse(?) Waited another 20 minutes for the doctor. Dr. Katz sat down. Didn't say anything to me or my husband he started looking at his computer typing. After about 5 minutes he leaned over and started poking at my trigger points. I have Fibromyalia. I screamed and he looked at me like I was insane. He said I am going to give a prescription for Fibromyalia. He got up and left the room. My husband followed and came back and said he is with another patient. I went and told the nurse I was there for him to look at my hand and that my primary doctor thought the pain in my hand was arthritis. Nasty nurse person said I had to make another appointment. I thanked her and made another with a different doctor. read more

Dr. Katz' office does not respond to pharmacy requests in a timely manner and even lies about receiving refill requests. Dr Katz and his staff has a very poor service, in my opinion he is a careless about his patient if he had a feelings that his patients is going to lose their insurance , which is what exactly he did to me in the last 30 days of my treatement when i did notify him that i am going to lose my insurance,by the end of ctober 2013 he refused to write me a medical supplies prescription for my back which is highly recommended by my physical therapist in the last 30 days of my treatement, but after my husband did threaten Dr Katz that he was going to report him to medical board of california than Dr Katz did wrote my prescription in the last day of my insurance which it was too late due to his office manager and his staff office fax the prescription directley to a wrong medical supplies office in porpuse until we did lost our insurance which we did ended up paying the full expenses of $900.00 for the medical supplies from my pocket instead the insurance pay for it ,by the way my wife was under Dr katz for 3 years with lupus and fibromyalgia diseases, Three of our family medicine doctor's who knows doctor Katz told me to change Dr Katz due to he is not a such good doctor but the reason i was under his care for 3 years because he was the only doctor in my area accepted my insurance.i do urge every one do not be a victim of Dr Katz just like i was and do not waste your time, i do not recommend Dr Katz at all. read more
