Dr. Jacobson deserves a full 5 stars. Out of no less than 5 internists I have seen in the past 5 years, he is the most caring and knowledgeable doctor around. I thought bedside manner was dead. He is living proof that it is not. I've had other doctors trying to sell tests and overprescribe medication, but Dr. Jacobson knows when to intervene, and more importantly, when not to do so. I wish I'd found him years ago and will be a loyal patient as long as I can! Update: I forgot to mention that his office staff is terrific as well. The front desk staff was very friendly and answered all my questions while I completed the new patient paperwork. Dr. Jacobson was exceptional; he took the time to discuss the reason for my visit in detail. He carefully noted everything concerning my health and promptly referred me to a specialist. Additionally, he acted quickly to submit my current prescription, as I mentioned that I was on my last week of medication following my discharge from the hospital due to a stroke. I've been with Dr Jacobson nearly 10 years. I'm 74 years of age and hope to be seeing Dr Jacobson for the next 10-plus years. His quality of care has been second to none. I can always rely on his experience from his years of practice and current trends in the medical field. Always listens carefully to any/all issues that arise and ensures I have the necessary and best medicinal support to ensure my continued health status is operating at top level. His staff are the greatest, always there to help and to ensure all administrative requirements are attended to accurately and promptly. I have the highest regards for the entire team with a positive recommendation when seeking an excellent PCP. One more thing, I don't recall ever having to wait. I show up on time, complete or update any necessary and in I go. My average time is about 15 minutes and I'm gone until my next appointment. read more

My complaint is regarding Dr Bruce Jacobson's office manager, Toni. My experience with her starts when her and her team cold-called me for an unsolicited scheduling of an appointment, that I did not request. It has become clear to me now that they must have been slow at their office, and she needed to over-book any possible timeslots they could for financial reasons. Apparently, they were cold-calling other patients as well to fill these empty spots in their schedule. I reluctantly agreed to their appointment for a Friday afternoon. I let her know, during the unsolicited scheduling cold-call, that I had work meeting approximately an hour after she pushed the scheduling appointment on me to complete my checkup. She assured me it would be quick (under 10 minutes), and the appointment would certainly not run late. I show up 30 minutes early and found myself sitting in a waiting room Friday afternoon with multiple people still in their lobby, waiting to see the doctor. I was immediately concerned. When I check in, I let the receptionist know I only have an hour and a half, and she says no problem, it will be fine. Then, after waiting a full hour at the office, and seeing their office was running very late. I was forced to leave, as I notified them prior to my arrival, and when I scheduled my appointment from their unsolicited phone call. Then she, the manager, Toni, decides she wants to charge me for a no-show on my appointment of which is not only untrue, but Toni and her staff forced a situation on me that I told them might not work and now they are threatening to send me to collections for a missed appointment that I was actually there for and could not stays waiting for hours more due to the excessive amount of time the doctor office was running late. It's unfortunate that she (Toni) represents this doctor as her office manager. I am only lodging this complaint so that the public knows of the degrade in patient care that is being perpetuated by this office manager, Toni, to the detriment of this doctor's practice. read more

He is one of the worst doctors I've had in years. He put zero effort in my checkups never give me a proper physical, he would simply ask does your chest hurt does your leg hurt etc. without touching or doing anything. when I complained he discharge me by 2 certificate letters.My recommendation found other doctor. read more

Dr. Jacobson is always kind, considerate and thoughtful. When my mother had major anxiety and high blood pressure issues in the last year, he always responded with questions and solutions. My mum went through major medication changes and her team of Doctors headed up by Dr Jacobson has allowed her to enjoy a wonderful healthy life. Dr. Jacobson is great and attentive. I had my first appointment with him last week and it was an overall great experience. Over the past few years, I have seen many doctors who could careless how I was feeling. I felt comfortable to tell him my health concerns and he came up with solutions and I am happy to see that there are still doctors out there that genuinely care for their patient's wellbeing. It seems like a busy office, phone calls coming thru nonstop but it's worth the 1 month wait to see him, in my opinion. Also his staff are kind, busy, but still professional and kind. It may be a hassle to send all paperwork beforehand when you once hear that is a requirement before scheduling an appointment but in the end I preferred it to sitting and filling paperwork in the office. read more

WORST FRONT OFFICE WOMEN EVER!!! I had an initial appointment, which took me a month to make because of all the insurance hurdles they made me jump over. I got the appointment date mixed up. They called my wife instead of me and I never got the message. So now because I made a simple mistake they want to charge me a cancellation fee. This is no way to do business. There are a couple of women who were extremely rude and uncompassionate on the phone with me. Let's see if the doctor actually calls like they say he will. Oh and she refused to make me another appointment because I had the gall to stick up for myself and refuse her ridiculous cancellation fee. I need to see a doctor. These women could care less. If they make it right I'll make it right as well. read more

This review is long overdue. I've have been receiving care from Dr. Jacobson and his team for approximately seven years which I'm extremely grateful. I always have the intention to send them my gratitude for their immediate attention and care to my health care needs, but life happens and don't get around to it. Recently considering current circumstances I feel even more so bless to relay on this office for my health. From the first time I was referred years ago speaking to the font office and given the opportunity to complete necessary documentation in advance and assisting me with verifying that my insurance coverages meet my needs and etc. To my every so often call to what some my consider minor allergy reaction, the level of attention I receive from the nurse and accommodation to my busy schedule. Thank you Gaby, Rosie, Dr. Jacobson and everyone else behind the scenes that keep this practice going. Dr. Jacobson has been a family doctor of mine for years, whenever I have run into any issues in the past, I have gone to him and he has been able to identify them immediately, but furthermore, now of days doctors don't give their patients the time of day in general. Dr J will spend time with you to really get to understand what is going on, he isn't dismissive, and will take more than a few minutes to find out what is going on in your life. I've been a long time patient over 5 years of Dr. Jacobson. Apparently, the office manager has the power to get rid of long time patients such as myself simply because I missed paying a bill. Mind you, I don't have a history of missing payments just this once due to changes in my living arrangement. For missing a $80 bill, I was discharged and the $80 sent to collection; at the same time the staff collected the $80. After the staff collected the $80, they informed me that I'm no longer a patient because the bill was sent to collection. I understand about the billing process and my accountability, but to a point of discharging me? I didn't even get a one-time courtesy. This place makes you realize that they only care about the money and nothing to do w/ caring patients. It hard to believe that Dr. Jacobson is allowing his staff to treat loyal patients this way. But I have to say he needs to review what protocol his office manager and staff follows before he looses more patients. read more

I understand what others are saying about the office of Bruce Jacobsen MD. I called to make an appointment. They first said they were not taking new patients. Then they said they needed my insurance information to determine if they were taking new patients. (?) I am a healthcare provider myself. I have never heard of "not take new patients" then "let me verify your benefits" and then "we can't see you". I guess they don't take PPO coverage with no deductible. read more

I was referred to this office by my OBGYN because she said the doctor is great. After five minutes on the phone with the incredibly rude and unhelpful staff, it's clear that this is not the doctor for me. I was left on hold and then asked my name three times within a minute. Their office policy is to send in all of your personal information before they can even guarantee or schedule an appointment. How ridiculous! I'm not sending highly sensitive information via email when I don't even have an appointment t scheduled. It's too bad that the front office is so abrasive - they're likely costing him potential new patients. read more

I was very impressed from my first visit to Dr Jacobson , forget about the friendly staff let's talk about how caring and professional Dr Jacobson is, I was complaining about all my aches and pain for about 15 minutes and how was taking notes all the time, he also answered all my questions and concerns, after he requested blood and urine tests, dr Jacobson was the only doctor who was able to find out about my Hashimoto thyroid disease , which I have been suffering from it for about 6 years, the T3 and T4 blood test is not enough to find out if you have thyroid disease, one time Dr Jacobson called me on a Saturday morning to inform me about my blood test that I'm hypoglycemic and told me how to avoid having a sugar crash, who on earth would do this, to call your patient on a weekend? Only a great Doctor like doctor Jacobson would do such a thing. read more

I missed my appointmnet during the holidays because I honestly forgot, so it's understandable for them to charge a no-show fee. Now, to raise the price of the fee and then tell me I have to pay the new fee, which doubles what I initially saw in the paperwork that I signed, and not honor what I signed, is very dishonest. Not to mention, they've been harassing me incessantly by phone and mail to pay up or have my information sent to collections. Excellent way to treat your patients. I called to make an appointment 4 weeks in advance, to have it cancelled one business day before. When I asked about rescheduling, I was told the next available appointment was 4 weeks away. The doctor had to cancel because he scheduled a meeting, and he takes 2.5 hour lunches in which appointments aren't available. I would assume this is a reflection of his work ethic. The person helping me on the phone was also inconsiderate and didn't understand basic questions about scheduling. Thanks for wasting a month of my life when I needed to see a doctor! read more

When he first met me I had just had a carpal tunnel release surgery and he told me I was keloiding which is what happens to many African Americans skin after a surgery, tattoo or if they've been cut. Well, with over 12 surgeries, I should know if I keloid or not which I do not. So- when he saw me now, a month later, I made it a point to show him I was not keloiding and he agreed. No more discussion and I was pleased. We discussed lots of things which he listened to and recommended other doctors for. Overall excellent appointment and a great doctor indeed. I have been with Dr. Jacobson for I think 15 years now, and he has treated me for diabetes (which he diagnosed), high blood pressure, black widow spider bites, stress, sleep apnea, and some other smaller medical conditions. And not once has he messed up. Not once has he prescribed the wrong medicine. Not once has he stepped out of bounds on medical care. Not once for anything. He is like a "Friend" who I see when I have medical issues. He always gives me the time, and he's not afraid to talk a little about his own health if it relates to me. He's knowledgeable, personable, conversational, and you can't help but feel comfortable when he walks into the medical treating room. His staff have always been nice to me. ALWAYS!! And his nurse Rosie gives about the best injections I have ever had. She's a "No-Pain Injection Nurse." So, if anyone has a problem with Dr. Jacobson OR his staff, they had better take a look in the mirror and see themselves and who they are before they start badmouthing his staff or Dr. Jacobson himself. I have been a patient at Dr. Jacobson's office for many years and couldn't be happier with the doctor and his incredible staff. Dr. Jacobson is very approachable. As well as being excellent in his field, I need a doctor I can talk to openly, I can speak to him about anything and he is interested in what I have to say. We work together on my medical issues and I never feel like I am being pushed into anything that I oppose or that isn't in my best interest. He is super. I must also give his wonderful staff a shout out as each one of them have been friendly and extremely efficient at what they do, from dealing with insurance to making convenient appointments for me. Also, I am always anxious to receive my lab results, so I appreciate when they give me a call as soon as the results are in, and if I have further questions I request that the doctor give me a call which he most surely does. It can't be easy working with so many patients and only so many hours in a day. They are warm and friendly and they sincerely do their best to accommodate your needs.
